We stayed there for a weekend, two couples and one infant. The location is really nice, immersed in lush green and mature forest, perfect for walks. There is also the golf course for those into the sport. Overall the experience was nice thanks to the location, room quality and very friendly and competent front desk staff. Our downside is that the two restaurants have much way to go to be at any level of quality service especially when considering the premium they charge.
We ate at the club restaurant and it took more than 45 minutes for 3 simple tuna baguettes and one paneer. Mind you, there were at most 3 tables so this is not because of coming at a busy time. We then had dinner at the main restaurant and here it was really bad, the food was tasteless, hygiene left much to be desired and the service was extremely slow and poor. A normal meal for 4 set us back over 11,000 NPR, which is a steal in any restaurant in Kathmandu.
On the positive side, when i reported the dissatisfaction to the front desk, they were very engaged, took notes while being apologetic and promising to take the issue up with management.
All in all, the place is great but they must really address the restaurant aspect as it is otherwise a shame for such a nice place as the price/quality ratio is simply not there.
