Near river, but also near highway. Mixed feelings.
The room was always freezing cold. I was bumped from one room to another after being told the better of the two rooms I stayed in would be available for the duration of my stay. The stay was nice enough, and even went out of their way to assist me. However, this may have been because the accommodations themselves were very much less than desirable. The TV didn't work. The shower regularly ran out of hot water. On one occasion, I was showing when suddenly it went from comfortably warm/hot to freezing cold. So many things went wrong that I didn't even bother to report the matter to management. Oh, did I mention that Internet access was spotty? Regrettably, I wouldn't send my worst enemy to this place. It's my understanding that new management may take over soon. If true, improvements might be in the offing. But, in the meantime, rent at your own risk. It doesn't enjoy the former glory it apparently once had.

I'm disappointed by thier service I was standing outside thier gate for 40 minutes no answer they didn't even pick up thier phones. So no I didn't enjoy my stay cause I had to do another booking drive from thier place to another just dissapointing.

Serenity at it's best
wow, this was exactly was i was looking for. The place is great if you want to relax and get away from all the hustles of work. Stephanie is just a lovely person, he is great with people and will make your stay a home away from home. I love what he has done with the place, his personal decorations just give the place homely touch. I would go back there tomorrow if i could. We used the executive room, a beautiful room, large bathroom. The river flowing nearby provides the best sound to work up to, with the birds.

Beautiful, quiet location in Johannesburg
There were no surprises - everything was as expected from the website. We only stayed for one night but were able to enjoy much of what the guest house has to offer.

An amazing experience
I booked this Guest House for my boss and on the morning after she sent me a message to say that the Guest House was fantastic and it was a pity that she had to sleep as she would have loved to have had more time there as it is so beautiful. Thanks for this.

A gorgeous, artistic gem by a river in Northern Jo'burg
Twin Waters is absolutely gorgeous. We wished would could have stayed another day to relax in the garden by the river. There are delightful artistic touches wherever you look. Our room was large, comfortable with a big bathroom and kitchenette. The host was helpful and informative - and patient with us even though we arrived later than planned. We didn't have breakfast there but there were many teas/coffees that you could choose from. We would definitely stay here again.

We love Twin Waters!
We had two rooms. The main room was upstairs, which included a kitchen, bathroom and living area. The decorations were so unique, both in our room and outside. We had fresh flowers in our room. The power was out for two nights while we were there due to loadshedding in the area. We were given candles, lanterns and flashlights to use. The owner and his staff were very nice. Beautiful backyard!!

Just what was needed for an extended stay!
It took me a while to find this gem whilst searching for accommodation to carry me over between two business meetings in Johannesburg. Before this stay, I was in an expensive hotel in Sandton. Afterwards in an expensive hotel in Fourways. I have to say that my stay at Twin Waters was a joy -- especially when compared to both hotels. I had the Executive Suite for 17 days and have rarely been more comfortable or felt more at home in 43 years of travelling. A sumptuous room with a comfortable sofa, plenty of channels on the TV and a fully equipped kitchen for a fraction of the price of a hotel! The staff were not intrusive. Tea, coffee, fruit and rusks were laid on at any time of day (or night) and the flower arrangements are to die for! The property has a pool and a very large garden leading down to the Klein Jukskei. Sofas and benches are scattered around so that the outdoors can be enjoyed. I really felt as if I had a home to stay in all day or to come back to after meetings.

The staff was very approachable and accommodating. The garden room opens up nicely to the large beautiful backyard and garden, but the room is also close to the kitchen which can be noisy if people are using it (which was not too often). The place is pleasant but could use some minor updating. Good value.

Enjoy warm South African hospitality
Firstly, the booking process itself was a nightmare and very stressful: you pay 50% deposit when booking through Expedia. Seconds later after receiving Expedia's booking confirmation, you will receive instructions from the owner paying the remainder 5 days prior to your arrival. However, he could not be reached as his telephone line was down. He promised to changed the booking procedure. Secondly, the owner went out of his way to make it a very comfortable stay. He really gives a warm South African welcome to his visitors. The garden is big and enjoyable. You can enjoy "braais" and the swimming pool. Kids can run around. The guesthouse is close to a major road and can get quite noisy. Also, the room I was in is next to the kitchen. If fellow-visitors are in the kitchen you will hear them and they will hear you. Privacy is not very good in the garden-room. Request another room.

A Real Find
Very convenient to Laseria Airport about 20 min. Beautiful property on a stream with very artfully decorated suites. Nice neighborhood about 5 to 10 minutes from several malls and great restaurants. Owner was very welcoming. Wish we had been able to stay a few more nights.

Accueil très sympathique meme si le propriétaire est difficile à joindre. Chambre loft sympa mais non adapté avec des enfants car la chambre secondaire est au rdc avec un autre accès et sans WC à proximité. Délicieux et copieux petit déjeuner local. Proche lion park.

Nous y avons passé 2jours pour être entre l'aéroport et la première excursion que nous avons fait càd le lion park ,très facile à trouver ,les chambres très spacieuse et personnel très gentil même si nous n'avons pas viu grand monde durant ces 2jours ,on était comme à la maison,l'endroit est magnifique. Seul b mol ,la piscine n,était pas disponible à croire qu'ils se préparaient pour la haute saison,sinon vraiment à conseiller .

Trovata per caso si è rivelata una ottima scelta. Ottimo il rapporto prezzo-qualità, eccellente il comfort (camera silenziosa e spaziosa, bello e accogliente il giardino, ottima la dotazione della suite anche per farsi da mangiare. Ho avuto un servizio di lavanderia preciso e puntuale e la pulizia quando richiesto. Se proprio vogliamo trovare il pelo nell'uovo ho trovato poco pratico il rubinetto del lavabo. Internet lenta ma è un problema generale in Sudafrica. Se dovrò tornare sono sicuro che ci soggiornerò ancora.

Guesthouse bien situe, mais une voiture est nécessaire pour accéder aux commerces et restaurants. Malgré des ennuis de santé , Stevens fait tout son possible pour rendre notre séjour agréable . Lors d'un prochain séjour en Afrique du Sud nous reviendrons certainement au TWIN WATERS GUESTHOUSE
