It was clean and neat. The room was big but sparse. Service was friendly and the food was nice. TV was limited and for R1700 a night I would have expected more. There was nothing exceptional that made it different from a less expensive option.

Comfortable and well appointed hotel
A comfortable and well appointed hotel and room with very friendly and helpful staff. Very close to the Melrose Arch precinct and not too far off the M1 highway.

Couple stay
Stayed a couple of nights. It was a good stay, clean property including gym. Pool is small and thin and by the dinning area only thing I dislike. Overall great service. Was able to uber/bolt from there and food service was easy. Must eat there atleast once it’s delicious.

Airport shuttles never arrived.
Everything about the hotel was wonderful except arranging airport shuttles. Twice they were ordered ahead of time and twice they never showed up and our entire group of 16 had to scramble for an alternative. We probably will not use this property again because of this issue and that there is an expense to use an airport shuttle if it does show up.

We hardly slept due to parties Rooms next door until 3 in the morning! Nobody from the staff dared to stop the noses, because, according to the front desk it was… « friday »!! What is the point?

Always a pity about your neighbours
Firstly, the staff: awesome! Friendly, professional, welcoming. The room I stayed in was small but comfortable; then again, the rate I paid was reflected in this. BUT: the room next door had a balcony and those occupants would stand there and smoke, discoursing loudly. The smoke would waft into my room while their voices were intrusive. Also, the restaurant does not have surfaces that absorb sound and any laughter or so is, to say the least, LOUD! But, the food is good, the location brilliant, the parking secure.

A great modern hotel!
Sammy was great! He met us at the taxi and ushered inside out of the rain and sorted out luggage for us. Thanks so much. The hotel was situated right opposite Melrose Arch, within walking distance of the wanderers and a short taxi to Nelson Mandela Square, so overall, a great location. The breakfast was really good, the pool area was well maintained and if it were sunny would have been a great place to relax. The rooms were spacious, comfortable and very clean. Little things such as British/European plugs in the room made life easier.

Wouldn’t recommend the Melrose Capital
The swimming pool was green and you couldn’t swim in it. One staff member was extremely rude to me, other staff members were very helpful.

Good hotel stay....just watch your bags.
We had a very nice stay but left very unhappy. We checked in very late with 2 rooms and a family of 7. We ordered room service and the food was good. We hired a van to come transport us to our next location and left. Once we arrived at our next destination we found we were missing 2 bags. We had all the bags in the lobby and asked the bellman to our all the bags in the van. Ultimately it was my mistake of not checking. But it’s been a pain to get the bags back.
