Excellent snorkling and diving! Unfortunately this hotel does not have their own diving school and we had to go their neighbours, Memories. Facilities (pool, beach chairs) were food, service at reception was not good; no explanation of the available services/facilities. Also, it was not possible to get a bottle of water, big or small. We also dive, which means hydrating is very important. Since we did boat dives, going to a bar for some cups of water is not convenient. Water should be made easily available. We hardly drink alcohol or soft drinks, therefore a bottle of water should not be a problem. Also, you get a lot of plastic cups and straws when getting drinks. A lot of those, ended up at the beach/ shoreline. Recycling/more eco friendly methods would be nice. Furthermore, the state of our room was not good; it was dated and not clean: there was an ant nest and there was chewing gum on my bedboard. The pillows did not smell fresh but used. The AC was not working properly. We got a special and cheap offer, so we did not complain. If we did not have the special offer, this would not have been acceptable. Also, there was no ATM available and the nearest is in a town several KM’s walkingdistance. One should be made available in the hotelZ

Extensive grounds and beach are extremely well maintained. Too many broken beach chaise longues. Front desk staff not very helpful and we were given no information about the little things. Very disappointed that snorkelling gear was not available as all websites had indicated. Hobie cat sailing was fun; food was varied and overall good except one beef entree at El Criollo. Quiet, relaxed, unpretentious and eminently inexpensive.

This is a small resort with a huge beach and some of the best snorkeling you’ll find anywhere. Accommodations are basic but they do contain everything you need, and the beds are comfortable - and the grounds are lovely. The best thing about this resort is the staff - they are the best! This resort has more return guests than any other resort in Cuba and a good part of that is due to the staff - they become friends.

Disappointed. The day staff is better at caring than the night staff. My water shoes were stolen from outside my door. The one guest computer went out during a lightening storm but was not told how to keep the time on my Internet card that has to be purchased. First room had mold and no toilet seat-second room was better. Most staff and other guest not very friendly. Emilio, the gr ounce keeper brought me flowers which made my day. The food in this place is horrendous-it’s the same food every day, no variety of choices and the main restaurant is over run with flies. There are flies all over the floor, the food-it’s impossible to get food that a fly hasn’t landed on. After a few days my body couldn’t take any more rice and beans with fly.

Great place and location with poor food buffet
Nice pool area, friendly staff - acceptable rooms - but way to many mosquito and no way of keeping them out of the rooms since the doors had large gaps. Ignoring the mosquitoes and the poor quality food buffet: Great place / value for money. Btw. Cuban people have very bad buffet manners :-(

Das Essen ist sehr mäßig, die Getränke ebenfalls. Leider kann man nur in einem unterkühlten, sehr lauten Speiseraum sitzen und nicht im Freien. Die Liegen am Strand sind zum Teil zerbrochen und dadurch nicht nutzbar.

Très déçu
Accueil très moyen suite à notre arrivée tardive (pas de repas prévu), les repas sont de qualité moyenne et très répétitifs (menus industrialisés), les lits de notre chambre étaient trop petits, on nous a volé une paire de chaussures déclaré à la réception qui n'en a fait aucun cas, très peu de transats disponibles et la plupart étaient cassé, cest proprement scandaleux au vu du prix paye ,trop peu de parasols pour le nombre de personnes accueillis, heureusement la plage était superbe. Au final nous sommes très déçu par cet établissement et nous n y remettront plus les pieds, nous ne le recommandons pas.

Das Hotel ist leider schon sehr in die Jahre gekommen. Wir waren in einem der Zimmer im „Haupthaus“: Stockflecken, abgeplatzte stellen an Türen und Wänden und eine alte Einrichtung. Die Anlage an sich ist schön und die Lage direkt am Meer ideal-man könnte hier viel mehr daraus machen. Leider gab es unglaublich viele Quallen (wohl jahreszeitbedingt), sodass man nicht schwimmen konnte. Im All inclusive Paket sind auch alle Getränke und ua. auch der Verleih von Kajaks und sogar Surfmaterial. Das Essen lässt trotz einiger Auswahl zu wünschen übrig (zB sehr verkochte Nudeln). Die Fahrt nach Playa Jibacoa mit dem Taxi von Havanna kostet 50CUC. Wir waren 2 Nächte hier-länger würde ich auch nicht bleiben.

Beau site, grand parc avec une belle vue sur la plage et les cocotiers. Installations agréable même si les bâtiments et les chambres d'hôtels mériteraient un coup de raffrichemessement (peinture, meublier). Nourriture assez bonne, cocktails convenable mais au vu du prix et de la localisation de l'hôtel c'est un très bon rapport qualité prix. Le personnel est sympathique, quelques animations et spectacle de qualité. A recommander pour les familles, personnes âgés ou des couples en recherche de repos sur un séjour de 2/3 jours.

Нейтральное отношение к своим посетителям.
На ресепщене по чему-то не проводили до номера, вручили карту и примерно показали куда идти. Территория чистая убираются, но пляж почему то убирать стесняются от морской капусты. В целом приятный отель но персонал 50/50, заинтересован в своих посетителях. Очень скудный выбор на баре, могли бы и меню положить.

Très bon séjour à Villa Tropico
Nous avons passé un très bon séjour à Villa tropico. Nous ne sommes restés que deux nuits, la plage est magnifique, il y a ce qu'il faut de transat pour observer la mer azure toute la journée. Le personnel est très serviable et à l'écoute. Les chambres étaient propres et les lits confortables, elles manquent peut etre un peu de lumière, mais on ne va pas à Jibacoa pour s'enfermer dans sa chambre toute façon. Il y a deux piscines avec cocktails, bières à volonté... nous avons regretté la musique autour de la piscine qui est sympa un moment, mais beaucoup trop forte pour nous et donc fatigante pour les oreilles à force. Si elle avait était un peu moins bruyante ou avec une playlist plus calme par moment cela aurait été agréable. Les buffets sont copieux mais assez gras et pas excellent non plus. Mais chacun peu y trouver son compte. Aussi, chose rare à Cuba, nous pouvons accéder à la Wifi dans l'hotel, ce qui est appréciable ! Nous avons donc passé un séjour globalement très bon, dans un cadre magnifique et pour un rapport qualité-prix inégalable.

Wunderschöne Anlage, OHNE Internet, viele Cubaner
Das Personal war sehr freundlich und die Gartenanlage sehr gepflegt, die Zimmermädchen ordentlich. Die Anlage an sich ist heruntergekommen, die Zimmer schäbig und die Wände schmutzig. Im Bad läuft das Klo aus und die Spülung funktioniert nicht. Das Pool enthält grünliches Wasser, das nach Bier und Urin stinkt, Plastikbecher schwimmen darin herum. Das Personal an der Lobby stellt sich dumm, wenn man zB reklamiert, dass es nirgends, wie avanciert Internet gibt. Weder im Zimmer, noch in der Lobby, noch am hoteleigenen Computer. Wir mussten als Zaungäste hinter Bambus versteckt ins Internet des Nachbarhotels um die Flüge einzuchecken! Das Essen war tw unfertig und unappetitlich. Das ganze Hotel ist eindeutig von einheimischer Bevölkerung als Gäste dominiert. Aber wie gesagt, sehr nette Barkeeper, Bedienung und Gartenpfleger. Die Anlage an sich wäre sehr schön und ist auch landschaftlich an einem wunderschönen Stand gelegen.

Zum Entspannen nach einer langen Rundreise durch Kuba sehr gut geeignet. Relativ ruhig, schöner Strand, Gelegenheit zum Schnorcheln, Katamaranfahren und faul sein. Essen weniger gut von der Qualität und dem Geschmack, das Personal war mit der Masse der Gäste oft überfordert, sodass man vor der Tür warten musste. Kurzer Weg zum Strand. Extra Preis für Stundenverlängerung nach dem Check-out nach 12.00, weil keine Möglichkeit zum Duschen oder Umziehen.30€ für 6 Stunden fand ich relativ viel. Kein Internetzugang zur Handynutzung, sprich What`s App, nur im Nachbarhotel möglich, WLAN so zu nutzen und nur vor der Tür des Hotels. Geldabheben nicht möglich und sehr abgelegen. Hotelpersonal spricht wenig Englisch, aber die Leute waren sehr freundlich.

Einfach entspannt abhängen
Wir hatten hier eine Zwischenübernachtung auf der Rückfahrt nach Havanna gebucht. Anlage liegt etwas abseits von größeren Orten. Dafür direkte und ruhige Strandlage. Die Zimmer sind in ebenerdigen Häuschen untergebracht (3 - 6 pro Einheit), die verstreut auf dem gepflegten und schön begrünten Grundstück stehen. Wäre auch für ein paar Nächte mehr zum Entspannen geeignet. Sehr gutes Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis, da all-inklusive. Der Safe für ca. € 2,00 per Nacht im Vergleich hierzu teuer.
