What a lovely place to stay. Beautiful setting. Wonderful old house so well kept. Bedroom was very comfortable and dining room with real fire was a treat. Sheila was very welcoming. Would love to come again.

Lovely b & b
Im so glad i booked this place. Sheila was a wonderful host. We were made very welcome. Despite another reviewer it was easy to find. Its a quiet peaceful old farmhouse. The room had everything you need. First floir room overlooked the beautiful garden. Sheila and Peters dogs potter around the house and garden they are friendly. Breakfast was tasty and plentiful. We would definitely stay again.

Lovely, with caveats
This is a beautiful farmhouse built in the 1600s. The rooms are all up a flight of stairs, so not great for mobility challenges. And I am sorry to say that the water pressure in the shower is terribly insufficient. I’m sure it’s due to the age of the place, but it took forever to get the shampoo out of my hair. The other consideration is that depending on the direction you’re approaching from, there is a white road sign marked Hundalee-but it’s EXACTLY where the “turn” is. It is little more than a barely paved driveway, and it’s a very tight turn, tighter than a u-turn. They also have two sweet dogs, Milo and Lexie, so if you have allergies, perhaps look elsewhere.

You knew it was upstairs and you were told to cancel but you chose not to as we are the cheapest in the town but then you have the gall to complain, I do not think that is very fair, as for where the house is situated you should have checked, just because you are a bad driver again I should not be blamed.

clean, friendly and quiet
If i ever needed to tell my employers why i prefer these types of establishments rather than their choice of national hotels when working away from home , then i would only need to suggest they stay here

Had a lovely time
We loved Hunderlee House. The host, Shelia, was so welcoming. The house is interesting and full of history. Sheila showed us around and made us feel at home. The bedroom was large with tea and coffee and biscuits. The beds were clean and comfortable. The en suite was large and clean. There were garden and woodland views from the bedroom. The house is full of interesting, period features. The breakfast was lovely and plentiful. Nothing was too much trouble for Shelia. To be honest, I can't say enough good things about our stay. We would definitely stay again if we were on the Boarders.

Lovely Hundalee
Lovely House one of the best I have ever stayed in. Sheila was great and I will certainly be going back. Room was superb , nice garden. Breakfast was great.

Impressive old country house where we received a warm welcome and had a very good night's sleep in a comfy bed. I liked being greeted by a friendly Shitzu dog but if you don't like dogs this is probably not the place for you. Similarly the decor is very in keeping with the house and its history but if you're offended by stuffed animals and trophy heads best to go elsewhere. I would happily use it again.

Thank you for your review, the dogs are Lhasa Apso, the farm dogs are collies and a Huntaway, we have tried to keep the house in keeping with its age so yes there are stuffed animal heads around but it does show them on the photos of the house, so if people are offended by them they need not book, but we are happy that you booked and had a good night with us. take care Peter & Sheila

We had a lovely couple of nights stay at Hundalee House. Sheila was very welcoming and serves a wonderful breakfast. The views from our bedroom were superb as we were in glorious countryside. We even saw a badger! Thrilling.
