“Invitation to Jasper, IN”
We wanted to go away for a weekend to visit French Lick, IN. The cost to stay at the resort we felt was steep so we looked at surrounding areas. Days Inn Jasper was around a 30 minute drive from the resort. As we would have liked the hotel to be closer to French Lick the hotel was nice, dated but nice & comfortable. The staff were all very friendly. Would stay here again!
“Not Impressed”
The front desk "closed down" soon after my arrival, which was later. The housekeeping staff were very noisy earlier in the morning. The sink did not drain well, which was very disgusting while brushing my teeth. The room was very dark, due to very low wattage light bulbs, to the point that it was difficult to read. The internet site stated that check-out was noon, but the hotel clearly stated that check-out was 11:00 and that additional charges would be added to the bill if one did not check-out by 11:00. [An additional $25 if the guest was still in the room between 11:00 and noon, and an additional day charge if still in room after noon.] All in all it appeared that the facility was more interested in my departure than my stay. They appeared to be more interested in saving money than providing quality service. Probably my last stay at this facility.
“Holiday World Labor Day Trip”
We had a wonderful experience at this hotel.
“Standard Clean Motel”
Nice people, clean, quiet, standard motel room.
“Pleasantly surprised”
Have not been impressed with most Days Inn but was pleasantly surprised at how nice Days Inn Jasper was. Staff was very courteous and helpful. Room was nice and clean.Breakfast area was very clean and a good meal was provided, but get there early. Breakfast crowd picks up after 830am. Kids very much enjoyed the pool area. It was great to have two restaraunts right in the vacinity of the hotel area, not to mention the movie theatre being next door. Days Inn is a great place to stay and it's hard to beat the price. I would definately stay there again.
“Very basic”
It's a Days Inn. It's just about what you expect. It was clean enough, but the beds were extremely soft and uncomfortable, with virtually no support. The air conditioning worked only sporadically, to the point that I had maintenance come up and look at it. They couldn't find anything wrong, but it would only run for a few minutes at a time, even when on the coolest setting. The air conditioning appeared to work better the next morning after some people had left (they were at capacity the night we were there). They have a pool and a 3-hole miniature golf course, but both apparently have unlimited hours. Our room was close to both, and there were still people outside and playing (loudly) at almost midnight. The location is good, an easy 20 minute drive from Holiday World. Overall, slightly overpriced, but it's because you are a captive audience if you're planning on staying and going to Holiday World a second day.
“Nice town...nice hotel...friendly staff”
If you expecting a 5 star hotel this is not it, but for the price it was great. Our first staff member was a bit distant, but working late hours I don't expect them to be doing cartwheels. All staff experiences from then were great. Friendly and informative. My wife went through the room with a fine tooth comb and with the exception of a jelly bean under a table it was spotless. You can purchase discount tickets to Holiday World which helped us avoid the wait at the park. The breakfast was good enough for my group of 5. The pool was not as big as in the picture, but big enough to accommodate everyone. The TV was difficult for a 5yr old to navigate, but it got the job done. As stated, don't expect too much, but it's a great place to lay your head at night and keep the kids entertained if they don't expect much. The drive to Holiday World from Jasper was not too bad and the hotel is on the edge of town so you can get on the road to the park without the hassle of traffic.
“would go back”
All though we didn't stay for the full tim,e we left a day early for a medical reason the time we spent was good the Ice machine was broken but being over 100 degrees I can understand why
“Courteous staff; well-kept”
The premises were clean and tidy. You could tell they worked hard against some challenges. Many things felt and looked outdated. Hallways were dark. A/C unit was old and very loud, though it did keep up with 100+ heat indexes while we were there. It really could use a new interior color scheme that is brighter and more inviting. The staff was courteous, helpful and efficient. They did an outstanding job.
“Old but clean”
I expected a bit more for the price, but the accommodations were acceptable. The property is dated but well maintained. The free breakfast isn't bad, and the staff is friendly. Wish it had been closer to our destination (Santa Claus, IN), but didn't mind the scenic drive. Kids enjoyed the pool.
