Great little cabin!
It was a great little cabin for our stay. It is a little further out from red river gorge area of that's what you're looking to do. But it is nice and secluded on top of a mountain with great views! Bring camping chairs if you want to use the firepit

Nice mountain hideaway.
I enjoyed my stay at Maco's cabin. Cabin was clean, furnishings comfortable, everything was as listed. Internet worked well, access was easy. Overall a great stay.

Great Views and relaxing atmosphere
Property overlooks mountains and trees as far ad the eye can see. Extremely secluded which makes you feel safe and away from the chaos of the city. A great place to get away and unwind. Especially since you get the view from the hot tub, and a well put together firepit. Our second time staying here since we love it so much.

Weekend getaway
The place was perfect for a weekend getaway. It felt safe and private. The hot tub was fantastic after a long day of hiking at RRG. It was especially nice with a campfire burning too:) it was a very special and memorialble place to celebrate our wedding anniversary❤️

My husband and I stayed here with our two young daughters. The views are amazing!! The hot tub was great and we loved the fire pit. The owner was great to work with and very responsive, especially when we had some issues with wasps. I would definitely recommend this place to couples and small families!!

Weekend away without the kids
We had a wonderful time at the cabin. The weather wasn’t ideal, so we were able to enjoy a lot of time at the cabin, reading and relaxing. It is a great spot for a weekend getaway and the view is fantastic!

Wonderful Weekend Getaway
We had a wonderful weekend getaway. The cabin was quaint and comfortable. We enjoyed soaking in the hot tub. Made meals in the cabin, most kitchen utensils available, only request would be the cabin needs grilling utensils. We will definitely return again with our littles as they would love the loft areas. Thanks for sharing your lovely cabin with us.

Outstanding!
The house was so cozy and warm with stunning views. The hot tub was awesome and spacious!! The only critique...it would've been nice to have a washer and dryer just to be able to dry clothes and towels from the hot tub... but overall it was a wonderful and relaxing trip. It was a perfect getaway for my family to make memories together. I'd go again to see the view(s) at different seasons. Great views, great house, and great hot tub.

A perfect getaway
Loved this location and the cabin! Although it was rainy and cloudy and we couldn’t see the stars, we had a lovely time. The location is secluded and there are 2 other cabins, but you wouldn’t know it. It was super cool being near the national weather service and we had quite the storm during our stay. Can’t wait to return.

We found Maco's place in 2019. Great set up that sits atop one of the highest places in Breathitt Co. Fly in if you're a pilot. His property adjoins the airport. Great family and set up for safety, privacy and gorgeous views. Its an annual trip for us.

Perfect Getaway Close to Home
This is our second stay at Maco’s Mountain Resort, our family loves the perfect views! The cabins are clean and private and well stocked with anything guests may need. The host is easily accessible if needed and beyond hospitable. We plan on visiting again soon.

Our stay at the Rustic was wonderful. The layout of the cabin is perfect, the view from the porch & hot tub was so beautiful it almost doesn’t seem real. The fire pit is so well do e as well, everything is easy and top notch to provide a worry-free & relaxing experience.

I loved our stay at Maco’s. The property is secure, secluded, and has a fabulous view. For our short stay, we had all of the things that we needed. I didn’t like that we had to bring our own blankets, but I can see how that saves them time and laundry costs. ImThe hot tub was very relaxing and just in the perfect spot to enjoy the view! We loved looking at the stars at night. Our only problem with the property was the number of stink bugs inside the house. (50+) I’m not sure that there’s really anything that the host can do about them that they haven’t already done, but he came right over when we messaged him about them and offered to vacuum them away. I appreciated the timely response. I would certainly stay here again if we’re ever back in the area!

Book this property!!! So peaceful! No road noise, felt very secure. The view is amazing! The property is so clean and has everything you need! Enjoyed the local restaurants. Red River Gorge, Natural Bridge, Gorge Underground is an easy 45 minute drive. Can’t wait to come back!

The cabin is exactly as pictured. The views are even better in person! We hiked in RRG and couldn’t wait to get back each evening to catch the sunset, enjoy the views, and relax in the hot tub. Very quiet, we loved it! Already planning another trip back.

My husband and I came over to celebrate my birthday and get some peace and quiet from the chaos that this year has been for us. We stayed about 2 years ago and left refreshed and rejuvenated and we really needed that again. This place was just as wonderful as we remembered and we can't wait to come back. Absolute perfection!
Where to start? The property is gorgeous, we had deer, turkey, and so many birds! The hosts made sure the cabin has everything you need. We didnt leave the cabin all week, just enjoyed the perfect peace. The hosts were very quick to answer questions, yet gave us privacy. We very much recommend this haven.

My family of 5 stayed at the Rustic Cabin for 5 days and it was truly amazing! It had everything we needed to cook full dinners every night. Hot tub was lovely after long hikes in the Red River Gorge and the views were best in the area for sure! Hosts are great and even gave us free T-shirt’s of the resort! We will be back!!

We decided to go on a mom and dad weekend without the kids. This place was amazing! The views were better than the photos! It made our relaxing getaway even better. Plus it was only about a 40 min drive to the Natural Bridge. We will be coming here to stay again in the future!
