Wasn't very clean, the area is shady. I walked into my room around 8pm, and two staffers are there chatting. It was good for the trip, but I don't think I would book it again

Nice and convenient with delicious breakfast
Nice hotel in good location and delicious breakfast. Oh, I just loved your tea. That's exactly how I like it! Very friendly and helpful staff. Good Internet. If you want to safe some money use 302 bus from otogar(bus station). Thank you for your hospitality KONAK. I don't have any photos but you can visit my YouTube channel. You'll find some film from Izmir, KONAK hotel and KUŞADASI which you must visit.

Horrible location but cheap
Basically, you got what you paid. The staff was so friendly, Breakfast was decent, but the location was horrible in the middle of the local market (wouldn't recommend to overseas travelers) The room was too small, there was no room to place luggage as well as the bathroom was dirty and had mold and broken shower doors. A medium-sized refrigerator & unnecessary dresser took an additional space

I have stayed in this hotel several times in the past, initially as a stopover en route to or from UK to Didim where I live.I later have taken several short stays for Holiday trips. I like the location very much. Lots of street life and old character buildings. The narrow road outside leads down to the market and further towards Konak and the pier overlooking the ocean. The room was clean and comfortable as usual. Plenty of towels. Hot shower. Breakfast very good varied and plentiful - buffet style. Staff very friendly and helpful. Definitely a value for money stay each time.

Budget hotel, not suitable for families
Hotel is in the middle of downtown, surrounded by shops everywhere. Good for a quick trip for singles or for business only. Neighborhood is frightening at night, not family friendly.

It recommended
The staff was nice in particular one guy who brought some Turkish coffee. Apart from that. The room was a disgrace. There was a rotten melon in the fridge and I asked to change the room. There were the same dishes on top of a shelf in the lobby for the entire duration I stayed there no one bothered to clean it. The tables in the lobby we're dirty. The new room I changed to the lit of the toilet was destroyed and sitting on it was not possible. I know it's not an upscale hotel, but we all agree that hygiene and the basic amenities should be working. I stay for a the same price in the center of alacati and it feels like a 5 star hotel. Try to reach the average bar guys and then ask for 100 lira per night.

A Hidden Gem
Suliman was a really friendly receptionist and is a credit to this hotel as I'm disabled he made sure I was comfy and translated from English to Turkish so I could get my laundry done with a convenient laundry across the road from the hotel, This is a hotel next door to some roman ruins as the Agora is very close to the hotel and there is a mosque next door that reminds you when breakfast is when the call to prayer is made five times a day which is next door. Izmir is a great city to visit as it shows Turkish life without the effect that mass package holiday tourism that spoils a lot of resorts, it has a souk and a nice harbour area where you can get a good meal at a cheap price, a train that will connect you to Selcuk and the world Heritage site of Ephesus and a lot in the city of Izmir that's both ancient and modern. This hotel is both retro and friendly and very friendly staff who are glad to help you, give you a Turkish tea and treat you as a family member and not a guest . Breakfast times were great as the breakfast meal was served from 7 am to 11am and is the traditional Turkish breakfast, which I love and recommend but no good if everywhere you go in the world you expect an English breakfast of bacon and eggs, as to my stay I love to try local food so this was ideal for me as the breakfast was cornflakes,eggs fresh salad and Turkish tea. The only negatives are that the hotel doesn't have a lift to the third floor where breakfast is served. Nice Staff, nice hotel

I came and left. Dirty. In a neighborhood where if you are not a migrant you stick out like a sore thumb. I felt very uncomfortable anld left straight away.

The staff spoke good English and were very helpful. The location was ideal for the Agora and markets and the locals were very friendly as well. Breakfast was nice.

Nice place in Izmir
It was all good, except the condition of the shower cabin, which is old and has to be changed (and/or to be cleaned better, ooops to maid). Except this, we didn't have any problems, the staff was extremely helpful, thanks to them! We even stayed in this hotel two days instead of one day. And the breakfast was really good! The street is a bit dirty, but this is the historical part, so it cannot be changed. We can recommend this hotel - for this price it's a good choice.

Esageratamente Sporco , puzza di fogna , le piccole finestre tipo abbaino piccole e chiuse . L’aria condizionata, la tv , la luce e tutti i telecomandi non funzionano . I cassetti ed il cuscino del letto con macchie di muffa . Insomma un incubo !! Sono andata via nonostante avessi già’ pagato . Una vergogna presentare questa struttura come hotel …. Mi dispiace non poter mettere foto

Ich kann dieses Hotel nicht Empfehlen... das Zimmer war düster, es roch muffig und schimmelig, das Bad war eine kathastrophe.. Der Toilettensitz war kaputt, in der dusche waren die Kacheln gebrochen und an den rändern schimmelig. Wir haben dort nicht geduscht. Wir haben 1 Nacht übernachtet und sind am nächsten Tag in ein anderes Hotel gezogen auf eigene Kosten.. Das schlechteste Hotel in dem ich je war.

Ο κύριος στην υποδοχή και οι κυρίες που ήταν υπεύθυνες για το πρωινό και την καθαριότητα εξαιρετικά εξυπηρετικοί και ευγενικοί. Δυστυχώς, όμως, αυτό δεν αρκεί. Το κτίσμα του ξενοδοχείου είναι πάρα πολύ παλιό και δεν έχει γίνει καμία συντήρηση από το χτίσιμο του. Μουχλιασμένοι τοίχοι, παγωμένα δωμάτια, παλιό μπάνιο με χαλασμένα υδραυλικά και άσχημη μυρωδιά βόθρου. Δεν ανοίξαμε καν τις βαλίτσες μας, από τη σιχαμάρα μας. Θα είχαμε φύγει από το πρώτο δευτερόλεπτο αν δεν μας σκλάβωναν η ευγένεια και η προθυμία του κυρίου στην υποδοχή, ο οποίος φρόντιζε για ό,τι του ζητούσαμε (όσο μπορούσε βέβαια, δεδομένου ότι μέναμε σε ένα μέρος κατεστραμμένο από το χρόνο)

Das personal am Empfang war nett leider konnte man uns nicht die gebuchten zimmer geben wegen ausbuchung die zugeteilten zimmer waren sehr klein das fenster eher eine luke wo man nicht dran kam badezimmer schimmel und dreckig duschen wollte da keiner am nähsten morgen bekamen wir neue zimmer die auch nicht viel besser waren wir sind ausgezogen in ein anderes hotel ich verstehe nicht war um sie sich nicht mal vor ort vom zustand überzeugen wir haben das geld fürs hotel in den sand gesetzt man müsste eine entschädigung wäre ort

Het hotel ligt in een hele kleine straat. Als je met eigen vervoer bent bijna niet mogelijk in te rijden. Heeft wel eigen parkeerplaats maar straat in rijden heel moeilijk! Kamers zijn heel klein. Eerste avond in de nacht was er geen water. Blij dat ik niet naar de wc hoefde!! Het hotel heeft renovatie nodig, alles was oud!!!! Raad niet aan!!! Beter iets meer betalen en betere 🏨 hotel !!!

De accomodatie was zeer goedkoop wat voor sommige een goed pluspunt kan zijn. Helaas was het niet erg netjes en was er schimmel in de badkamer, slecht onderhouden en werd er matig gepoetst.

İzmir merkezde olupta bu kadar eskimiş bu kadar bakımsız bu kadar kirli bir otel görmedim adeta yıkılmaya 100 tutmuş insan biraz battaniyeler olsun çarşaflar olsun yataklar olsun banyo olsun havlular olsun biraz oteline bakım yapar bu kadar pis ve pasaklı bir otel görmedim sırf kalmak için kaldık içerdeki havadan bir de boğazım ağrıdı
