I stayed at Hotel Poem on a one day layover in Istanbul and it was the best choice! From the moment I entered, the reception staff were so pleasant, welcoming and kind. Within 5 minutes, I was given the most charming room! The staff were very helpful in giving directions to the nearby tourist sites. I was pleased that throughout my stay, they did not try to upsell any add on services. The washroom had the rainfall shower which was so refreshing! I got ready to go to Sultanahment Mosque and the Aya Sophia. These two historic sites were a short 7 to 8 minute walk away from Hotel Poem. The area around the hotel is filled with restaurants, hotels, and a mini bazaar. As a solo traveller, I felt safe and had no trouble navigating as almost everyone spoke English. The hotel at night was very peaceful and quiet. Great to get a good night's sleep. In the morning, the most pleasant surprise was the complimentary breakfast, which was a feast! The cafeteria staff were all very kind and attentive. I would highly recommend you to choose Hotel Poem for your next stay in Istanbul's Fatih district.

Wonderful hotel
Our stay was amazing we stayed at the penthouse, the views are breathtaking and the breakfast was really nice. The hotel is walking distance to the major sights in Istanbul which was very convenient. Mr Arif the manager offered us great help through multiple things that we needed to do around Istanbul. It was a pleasant stay and definitely will be coming back. Fantastic
Fantastic hotel, staff, location could not be better for exploring old town Istanbul. Hotel staff provided excellent local knowledge and suggestions on where to go, what to see and when to visit. Cannot recommend this hotel enough.

The Hotel Poem is an excellent choice if you want to stay in the Sultanamet area -- nearby all the major sites of the Old City and on a quiet side street. The staff is fabulous, helpful and friendly. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. And the breakfast, served downstairs in an airy room with a small balcony, is simply terrific. The area is of course heavily populated by tourists and cafes.

This is an amazing location if you plan to stay in old town near historical sites. The breakfast is included and is was amazing and full of variety. The staff were extremely friendly, kind and helpful. I give it two thumbs up.

My new favorite hotel
This hotel is amazing! Absolutely delicious homemade breakfast with different offerings daily. Clean and beautifully decorated rooms (each room has a theme of a famous artist or writer). The staff is incredibly helpful and makes sure you have a great time, offering invaluable advice on what to do. The location is great for seeing the main attractions in Istanbul - walking distance to many, and for going further out the tram and ferry are not too far away either. They even gave us a transportation card so we didn't have to buy our own!

Hotel Poem is a fine example of everything that a boutique hotel should be, a home away from home. There’s a happy vibe amongst the staff and it shows in the everyday running of the hotel from front of house, house keeping and the breakfast team. Everything was just perfect!! We looked forward to breakfast every morning as we knew there would be a couple of special dishes that the chef would make along with the usual staple of cheeses, fruits, home made jams, honey with honeycomb, olives, salads oh look there’s so much more, it was a very generous spread and kept us going all day. Without hesitation I would highly recommend Hotel Poem. The hotel is in a great location in the Fatish Sultanahmet area. Walking distance to most of the major attractions that most visitors come to see such as Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque ect. There’s a lovely couple across the lane from our hotel that will do your laundry by the kg. Much more affordable than laundry service.

Gem of a hotel
What a beautiful boutique hotel, full of character and charm and right in the heart of the action with some of the major sights in Istanbul only 5 minutes walk away including Hagia Sofia, Blue Mosque and the palace. Even though you are so central there was zero noise in the hotel, we had a phenomenal sleep! We were fortunate enough to stay in the Ernest Hemingway room and so also had outdoor space with a beautiful view! The stars of the show are the staff, so so helpful and friendly and believe me when I say we had some weird questions but they were generous and humorous with their responses. We feel so safe and we’ll looked after I wouldn’t hesitate to go back, in fact it’s the only place we would consider staying now and you won’t regret it if you go either. Ps Can’t believe I almost forgot to mention the breakfast spread, it’s was plentiful, varied and most importantly tasty!

The hotel is conveniently located in Sultanahmet, everything is walkable. The staff goes beyond and above to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable, like sandwiches to take to the airport, surprise cake for birthday, booking the tours, etc. The turkish breakfast is fantastic with the spread of different small plates and eggs cooked to your taste. The rooms are cleaned daily and meticulously, the room is packed with everything you could possibly need from iron and shoe polish to toiletries. We absolutely loved this hotel! We were met by Arif, the manager, when we arrived. He checked us in and gave us very helpful information about things to do and where to eat. He is a wealth of knowledge! The room was clean and well taken care of and provided all the amenities you need. The breakfast spread was phenomenal. We looked forward to it each day. We had the Family room i think it was called Pierre Loti room. It can easily sleep 5 people. Property itself is located where all the restaurants are. You are walking distance to Sultan Ahmet Tram station. You have all within 2 minute of walking distance. Convenient store which is open 24/7 , Sim card options, money exchange and a barber! Hotel Staff was great and very helpful. The hotel manager (Arif) what a gem! you will never meet a person who is so eager to help and very cheerful. The AC in the room could need some tweaking because the room is big but we asked for a Fan and they provided one which made the room cooler alot quicker.

Wonderful Place in a Excellent Location
My wife and I had an amazing time at the Poem Hotel. The staff is super helpful and friendly, making us feel at home the moment we stepped in. They have an amazing Turkish breakfast that beats those of many of the cafes we’ve tried in Turkey. And our room! It had a big balcony with an amazing view of the Bosphorus and Marmara Sea. Not to mention, the hotel is located in a perfect spot, just a couple minutes away from delicious restaurants, cute shops, and two of Istanbul’s biggest attractions: Hagia Sofia and Blue Mosque. Overall, we could not recommend this spot any further, and will definitely be staying here again the next time we’re in Istanbul

Awsome place and amazing people
Amazing central hotel. The staff was absolutely amazing and so helpful with advices on what to do and try in Istanbul. Also, the people who served the breakfast and the staff who cleaned every day - made our days brighter from morning until night. Absolutely lovely place, delicious breakfast with farm products - spacious apartment and terrace with sea view. I would really recommend staying here - we had the best time on our Istanbul trip.

Great location,delicious breakfast,great staff
I stayed for 3 nights at Hotel Poem in mid-August with my wife. This place is truly special: the ambience of the hotel is modern an artistic, and the location is central with a range of hotels, hagia sophia and the blue mosque literally 5 mins away. But what really sets this place apart from others is its staff, who go out of their way to ensure a comfortable stay, such as ensuring that they call you a cab well in time for the airport, arranging the bosphorus cruise etc. The breakfast is absolutely superb, with fresh honey, an assortment of jams and fresh breads and fruits.

It was a pleasant experience. The service was amazing, the staff are wonderful. It was very clean and the location is perfect, it is within walking distance to a lot of locations you wanna see in Istanbul. I’m definitely coming back here with my family and friends and I highly recommend it 1000%

boutique hotel with a concept in each room
Poem hotel is an elegantly designed new boutique hotel. We really enjoyed our stay and definetely will be back soon again for great hospitality and the rich breakfast they offer.

My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hotel Poem. The staff were amazing, always on hand to help, with no request being too large. Much Credit to the reception staff Donna and Baris, their service was fantastic. The room was spacious and clean and the location is perfect with many bars and restaurants a stone throw away. We will definitely return on our next visit to Turkey.

Great little hotel in perfect location
Loved this hotel, design is very boutique and its a fantastic location to visit the sights of the old town. Bed was very comfortable, shower great and room was small but perfectly formed. Room also had Air con which i understand in Istanbul can be a rarity. Breakfast was yum and plentiful! and hotel staff very friendly and informative. I didn't have a room with a view which was a shame as some of the rooms look to have amazing views of the city. Would definitely stay again if i was in Istanbul

Great Value.
I was very impressed by this brand new hotel, walking distance to everywhere, inside is modern and confirtable, the owner is beyond than nice, will definatly go back. they also offered shuttle service for only $10.

Very good friendly staff and at reception Barish and team were so kind and helpful for us from the time we landed ,though it was early check in the staff were so quick to get our rooms ready gave all information around and tips to plan out visit!!! Excellent Breakfast spread!The most memorable hotel building we came across overall very good !!!
