Our favorite hotel

Posted 02-Jul-2014
As a family we travel a LOT and this is my favorite hotel. We've stayed twice. The rooms are small, but not cramped, and VERY clean. The location is great for catching a quick ride by taxi or public transport to the old city (even walkable if you're up for exploring). The 10th floor restaurant (where the breakfast buffet is served) has a stunning view of the city. The best part of the hotel is the service. Everyone from the front desk to the chambermaid makes you feel like you are an honored guest at their home and they are really happy to have you.

Nice hotel, but the location is not quite good

Posted 29-May-2014
Pros: The clean room, the top roof where the restaurant is located, a beautiful scenery. Plus the food.
Cons: The entrance of the hotel should be more attractive .
Location: Take taxi and in 10,15 minutes you are at the most historical areas.:the
We had some difficulty to fin the hotel , the surrounding area was very crowded, but it wasn't far from the attraction area's the food was amazing, the service and staff were very nice , some of them speak English . I defently come back again .

This hotel was satisfactory

Posted 29-May-2014
Pros: Location was good. Roof terrace was a nice addition. Cleanliness good.
Cons: The breakfast was of a poor standard and would put me off returning; the options were limited and it felt like an after thought.
The hotel is located in an isolated location in terms of not being near any restaurants or other hotels. However, it is a 5-10 min walk only from Galata bridge or the new train/foot bridge; both of which bring you into the centre quickly. The hotel was clean and tidy but ininspiring; it felt slightly more like a hostel. The rooftop restaurant/bar is a nice addition where you can take breakfast, lunch, dinner or just drinks. The biggest disappointment was the breakfast which was of a poor standard.

Very clean and friendly staff

Pleasant stay. Lovely roof terrace restaurant. Area not the best as not near main attractions. Good value and staff can't do enough to help make the stay pleasant. Good food. Very comfortable.

A Good Value, Easy Walking Distance to Atractions

Posted 10-May-2014
Pros: Location close to major tourist attarctions is a big bonus. The price in comparison to other hotels neraby is another.
Cons: Beds were not the most comfortable. A good quality mattress pad would have helped.
Location: If you like walking to the major tourist attractions without paying the price of hotels in Sultanameth, this hotel is for you.
Located within a short walking distance to Glata Bride, Spice Market, Galata Tower, this hotel is a very good value. Rooms are modest by North American standards but kept clean. Buffet breakfast is served in the restaurant located on the top floor with a breath-taking view of the old City on the shore of the Golden Horn. Stuff is professional, pleasant, willing to help. Ali has been of exceptional help.

Great hotel on bizzare street

Posted 05-Dec-2013
Spent three nights here in December. Room was small, but very comfortable. On 6th floor with a great view across the golden horn. Hundreds of tv channels, but virtually all in Turkish or Arabic. What a surprise. I really enjoyed the breakfasts which were served on the roof. Just about everything you could want. Fantastic view of the old city from up there. As to location, no other hotels or services right where hotel is located. The street seems to be the city's tool and machine shop hub,so very busy during the day. Was only a 7 minute walk to the galata bridge, so pretty convenient. From there everthing is no more than about a 20 minute walk. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Had some internet problems, and although we fouldnt get it to work, they sure took the time and tried. All in all, a very pleasent 3 night stay and I would definitely go back.
