Hotel was good in general. Our room was a bit small but guessing it was because we had the economic room. Breakfast was great, plenty options to choose from. A truly Turkish breakfast. The staff were friendly. Location was walkable to Sultanahmet. Overall, good experience.

It is up the hill an the building and streets are so old that no taxi wants to drive there. Im the morning you hear chicken and orher birds. Very loud. But the room was clean and big.

The service provided was out standing. Helped us to get taxi. The room was clean but there was mosquitoes in it.Thats the only complaint.

The property has amazing view better view of golden horn, partial boshups and bridge, Galatea tower, camlica tower than Any other 5 star experience hotels I stayed. 5 minutes walk away from metro station to taksim square -fatih ect. However there a stiff hill to walk to hotel I don’t mind but it is there which help property to have the view. Definitely will be back. Staff member ibrahim was there every day a true gentleman hard working.

Breath-taking views, friendly staff, nice rooms, great location. Only downside was the Wi-Fi and air con weren’t that effective. Overall would definitely recommend.

Overall it was fantastic stay because of the excellent city views and service. However, building itself requires some renovation.

Beautiful converted 19th century mansion property. Seems to be under new ownership or management, not as nicely kept as when we were there a few years back. Staffers are superb, very accomodating and pleasant.

2nd time in Istanbul, last time was in a 5 star on the northern side - but I was happier here. Brilliant hotel. Wonderful room, great staff who accomodated our family of four despite a mistake in our booking. Thanks Mr Gezili for looking after things on the day to day basis and the wonderful owner who let the kids swim after-hours to cool down after a hot day in the markets. Will definitely stay again. Complimentary tea and great location for the little more adventurous!

Overall staff were polite and room was clean. They allowed us to check in early which was nice. Location is really good as its only a short walk to the market and had good links to trams/buses. However, building is old and we was given the room by the lobby area, this meant that we could hear EVERYTHING coming from the lobby which was disturbing as staff mingled and spoke on the phone using loudspeaker in the middle of the night and woke us up. Don’t take the room by the lobby if you hate outside noises.

NOTHING TO BE LIKED INDEED. The two receptionists are rudest I’ve ever seen. Room is nothing more a detention cell. Only one extremely narrow steep up pathway to access facility.

Good for the price, but the wifi was poor.
A nice historic hotel. Worth the cost. In a little bit of a rundown area but seems safe overall. Close to touristy locations. Main downside is the wifi is horrible. Sometimes it simply didn't work, other times it was very slow.

Unique mid.19th century renovated mansion. Great who understand the history and wants to feel it.,high ceilings and stylish furniture. at the same time it’s like a island among the depressive abandoned slam area.

I booked it for a two day stay thinking that it was in a wonderful location for me and family. As soon as we saw the location up a narrow road at the top of an alley way we turned around to book another hotel. The location was terrible for me and my family, it would have been a nightmare to take the stroller up and down the narrow alley way.

Very good hotel
Very friendly staff, breakfast was limited to due to covid but still plenty of choice. They gave us a free room upgrade to a lovely view over the bridges and to the European side. Big mosque beside the hotel and very close to the spice and grand market

I have chosen this hotel because of its 4 star rating but In reality it is not even a 2 star hotel. Bath and toilet is very small. Towels are very old and teared out. There is no tea kettle in room and they charge too much money for tea and water.

little gem for such a cheap price
Amazing gem in the middle of Istanbul tourist area. Only reason I haven’t given straight 5s is because this is a 150 year old building and I don’t think anyone could make the building 100% without spending millions. Staff very helpful and friendly and you won’t get a view like this anywhere in Istanbul for the price we paid. Minutes walk from markets, mosques etc. Some of the other buildings nearby are a bit run down as well.
