The property was pretty central, walking distance to eateries and shops, good parking. Stuart was very welcoming and helpful, breakfast was your choice, plentiful, freshly cooked and my room was spotless, cosy bed and hot shower. I liked it a lot.

An amazing place to stay in Isle of White. Great hospitality by Stuart and Angella. They are always there to help. The overall place has a very homely wibe to it. The included breakfast is a delight and is served with a lot of love and affection. The in house pets Winston and Mable(dogs) and Spark(cat) are a great company on a unwinding vacation. The rooms are lovely and appropriately sized. The location is very near to Sandown railway station and Sandown high street. Quite a few nearby restaurants for lunch and dinner options. Overall a great value for money option.

Owners were fab! I had an issue whilst there due to being on call with work and had to change dates last minute. They were super helpful! Lovely place and super, super clean!! Room was huge too, Will definitely be back.

Another great stay!
This was our second time staying at Fernside and yet again we had a fantastic time! We were in the smaller family room this time but it was still plenty of space for me and my two children. The only downside is the WiFi is too weak to connect iPads / kindle for when they just want to chill but other than that it was spotless and comfy! The breakfast as always was excellent and my kids love the different choices they can have each day (so do I!!). The highlight for my two as always was Winston & Mabel. Such lovely dogs and Stuart & Angela are just fantastic! Looking forward to coming back in Aug 2022!

The Fernside review
Stuart (Owner) was really friendly and helpful. Great host, accommodating and cooked us delicious breakfast every morning. Room was tidy and clean. Location of the B&B was good to access Sandown beach B&B reasonably priced. I would strongly recommend

Lovely little B&B. Stuart and Angela were great, really helpful and very friendly and welcoming. We stayed in a family room which was lovely -very small bathroom but otherwise very well equipped. The carpets were so soft! Breakfast was delicious and plentiful, and it's a great town location so we could walk everywhere - beach, pier, amusements, etc. Lovely place, would really recommend!

The Ferneside..
We have just returned after 4 nights, Stuart was so lovely always willing to go out his way to accommodate.. It was our 1st holiday wiv our 1 Yr old lockdown baby so she was hard work but he assisted us in anyway to make things more comfortable...very family oriented had a fab family room... And we felt very much at home. 😁👌... The room was clean and spacious. Short walk to the beach... And lots to do around the island. Would most definitely recommend 👍

Few days at fernside. Had an enjoyable stay, breakfast was freshly cooked and good choice on offer. Clean and comfortable within walking distance to Sandown beach. Good spot to Travel to other places. 30 mins to Fishborne ferry. Would definitely recommend.

A lovely stay at the Fernside. Our room was clean and spacious. The shower was good. Clean towels. Everything you hope for in a good B&B. Stuary our host was on hand to serve a good breakfast every morning and the place was on a quiet road close to the center of town and seafront. We would definitely return.

Lovely little hotel
I took my two daughters for a few days break in Aug and we stayed at The Fernside for 3 nights. The owners couldn’t have been more polite and kind. The hotel itself is clean and we had the family room which was really generous in size. Such a wide choice of breakfast which was great and my kids always enjoyed theirs. Owner gave me a portable fridge for my youngest girls milk which was very handy to have. The hotel is a short walk to the beach and high street so we were never far from anything. We will definitely be back to stay. My kids loved it there and especially loved the two dogs. They didn’t want to leave and have asked several times when we are going back!

Everybit Beautiful
We only stayed for a night as we were on a weekend getaway at Isle of Wight. I wish I had a few more days at IOW and The Fernside. Loved everybit of our stay. Amazing Welcome, cozy and homely rooms and environment. Stuart and Angela are wonderful hosts. Winston and the rescue pup from Romania I keep forgetting her name add to the charm! Would love to visit again and The Fernside would be my first choice of staying.
