Comfortable stay in a lovely position
Superb view from bedroom window. Quiet location next to golf course at top of hill (car or strong legs desirable). Excellent varied breakfasts. Very friendly hostess. Lovely town.

This property was situated in a quiet area but in walking distance of Tobermory town. Fabulous views. Rooms were lovely. Beds were super comfy. And a good breakfast with lots of choice.

Plush, idyllic, spotless, excellent service!
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Fairways Lodge. Everything was so modern and absolutely spotless; the B&B is so quiet; the decor is gorgeous; the breakfast was fabulous; and the service was top-notch. Oh, and the views aren't bad either! I'd definitely stay here again when I return to Mull - it was by far the best night's sleep I had on my trip. (And I really appreciated listening to Skipinnish over breakfast!)

Andrew and Bethan were warm and welcoming; the room was lovely and spacious; the food was delicious. The views were spectacular. An easy walk down to the village, a moderate walk back but taxis available. Truly a find and a wonderful place to stay! Highly recommended!

Fairways is a small, quaint, traditional B&B perched on the top of a hill on the edge of Tobermory. I believe it's five units that are part of the owners' residence. This is probably one of the nicest, quietest, and loveliest places you can stay on Mull, with nice hosts. A top-notch B&B experience. The rooms were excellent, reasonably spacious, very comfortable, and nicely appointed. Best of all, they boasted incredible views out over a manicured golf course and the harbor. I would have expected to pay more just for those views! I was impressed with the full cooked-to-order hot breakfast, which you have to request the night before. (Unfortunately, we forgot to, but that's our fault. As a vegan, I didn't see any real options, but I also didn't ask!) There's no real common area that you can use outside your room. It's also a fair walk to town (I walked around the golf course instead). But I'm nitpicking here! Overall, we were very happy at Fairways and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.

We were met with a a very welcoming reception from the owner who explained in great detail how to reach town if we wanted to walk. Very clean room with a fabulous view. In the event we return to mull we would definitely stay at Fairways Lodge.

Andrew was an excellent host. The property was very comfortable and clean. The view was spectacular! Very quiet. Beds were comfy. The breakfast was great. The three dogs were great welcoming hosts every time we came back. I would highly recommend. Only drawback is it’s a bit hard to find. Signs are not obvious but we just asked someone. Would definitely stay again.

The proprietor was excellent. Respectful. Cooked and served a top-notch breakfast. Offered advice on hiking trails etc. if you requested local knowledge. And the home was a comfortable, easy, honouring of Scottish history. Plus, you cannot beat the view.

Andrew and Florence make Fairways Lodge an experience that is warm and caring. Love the view and easy walk to town through the golf course. Great breakfast. Felt like I was part of the Fairways community as soon as we arrived.

We stayed here in the family room for 3 nights. Andrew was very welcoming and our room was spotless. The Breakfast was superb and plentiful. 10 minute walk to main street of Tobermory for Pubs & Restaurants.

Dear Lesley While I thank you for staying with us I have to confess more than a little surprise with your review! We are never unfriendly and if you remember you informewd us 20 minutes before arriving (our busiest time and hours before check-in). You left your bags and appeared again in the evening. With regards 'unenthusiastic' about providing more tea and sugar that is absolutely not the case - perhaps at best surprise! Our complimentary tray comprises; 4x tea; 4x coffee; 2x hot chocolate; biscuits; with milk and sugars. This is usually replenished every day for guests. You stayed one night! Best regards

Overpriced
We had a lovely stay at Fairways but it was very overpriced for the accommodation. We could hear other guests during the night walking on creaky floorboards above us.

Dear Debbie Thanks for staying with us. However, I am not sure we are overpriced! If you remember you booked the 'family' room which is usually configured with kingsize double and two singles. To meet your request we re-configured the room with a kingsize double and a double. This room for two people is always going to be a higher price than our normal doubles. I can only apologise for any creaks and groans from the house. Best regards

Perched high above the town with wonderful views. The room was spacious but I wasn't sure about the single beds - would have preferred a double but there wasn't one available. The owner very kindly gave me a taxi company number for our return journey from town in the evening.

Great place to stay, shame about the room
Fantastic location with great views, staff were very friendly and breakfast was really good. Our main issue was with the room,(room 2) we booked a double room but it was very small and the bed was not a double bed, it was a 3/4. We struggled to both fit in. So was not comfortable to sleep, without hanging over the edge.

Very disappointing
The room we were allocated was described as a double room - there is no way that this room is big enough to be a double. The small bed just about fit in the room and is not big enough for 2 people to sleep in. Despite there being plenty of space in the main breakfast room (even taking into account covid restrictions) we were pushed in to the freezing cold conservatory - the lady serving us said as she took us out there 'oh I better put the heater on'. You have to order your breakfast before 9pm the day before - our 2nd night we didn't get back from our outings until around 9:30 so didn't get breakfast the next morning. That said, the first breakfast my friend had ordered blueberries with yogurt - the blueberries had not been washed and many of them were soft, going mouldy. We raised our concern about the room to Andrew (the owner) who was very dismissive and didn't even apologise, it really put a dampener on our stay on this beautiful island

Dear Juliet I am surprised at this review. Firstly we do not allocate rooms; guests book particular rooms as described and priced. You booked room 2 a 'small double, large single'. The bed is a 4 foot double as described in John Lewis. Although the majority of guests booking room 2 have no complaints perhaps we should make the description a little clearer. As to being pushed into the conservatory that is not correct, guets choose where to sit and the distancing in dining room is for guests safety. As to not having breakfast on the second day there was no breakfast request put in. However breakfast was prepared for you as you ordered the previous day - for which you did not turn up. All out fruit is fresh and properly prepared. You said that you would like a bigger room and when i mentioned that there were none available it was suggested that I move another guest to your room (despite being differntly priced). While I am sure you will not stay with us again I still wish you best regrads.
