Our vacation in this exquisite villa in the hills of Tuscany was everything we dreamed of and more. It was the perfect place to relax and enjoy the easygoing Italian life in a breathtaking setting with endless views, while also being able to take advantage of its proximity to wonderful sightseeing in Siena, San Gimignino, and other picturesque places.
The villa itself was absolutely beautiful, offering several lovely sitting areas, both inside and out, beautiful bedrooms, modern bathrooms, and a well-equipped kitchen. Cozy, beautiful, historic, and very comfortable, this villa is the perfect mix between old world beauty and new world amenities.
Caterina, Cecilia and the staff bent over backwards to make sure we had everything we needed, and helped us with restaurant reservations, translation, touring advice, and most of all, fabulous in-house dinners! Two absolute must-do activities: the multi-course authentic Tuscan dinner cooked to perfection on-site by Cecilia, and also the pizza making class taught by Camila on the villa’s logia and baked by her husband Fabrizio in the villa’s 17th century pizza oven. Cecilia’s dinner was an unforgettable dining experience; we didn’t lift a finger, including cooking, serving, and cleanup, and it was a wonderful meal after our first full day in Tuscany. Camila’s pizza-making lessons on the next night provided the perfect party atmosphere for us and our college-aged daughter and a few of her new study abroad friends. This was the best pizza we’ve ever eaten, and we helped to make it!
This particular villa has so many hard to find features: a heated swimming pool with all the amenities, the previously mentioned 17th century pizza oven, and even an ice maker…but most of all it has Catarina and staff, who took such great care of us during our stay. We cannot thank them enough for making our vacation in Tuscany perfect.
