“Excellent hotel in great location”

Loved everything about this hotel. Only there for one night but could have happily stayed for several. Great location and view. Professional friendly staff and good breakfast. Will definately return.

“does not disappoint, very up market and so staff so helpful”

if you are looking for a superb hotel in Dinard then you simply cannot go wrong with this hotel. It is not cheap but it is worth every penny. It has a certain chic to it and is full of charm. The staff were all excellent and could not be faulted. Their English is great and they are very accommodating if you have any children. Dining is superb too but there are lots of places to eat and that's part of going on holiday, but do have the breakfast at the hotel, it has a huge choice of food both hot and cold, all buffet style. For all it's style it is not stuffy or pretentious. It's also a stones throw (although down and obviously up, quite a few stairs) from the water taxi to St Malo, what a superb city that it for a visit too. Dinard is a great base for Northern Brittany, but is a good drive from Dunkerque. If we had have stuck to the motorways it would have taken about 6 to 7 hours to get there but the B roads are far nicer. We loved it!

“Can't wait to go back”

The room was lovely. The swimming pool was excellent. We really enjoyed the sea views from the dining room and the excellent food. The bar had a lovely atmosphere. The staff were friendly and attentive throughout our stay. A great place for walks along the shore and around the town. Would thouroughly recommend a stay here.

“Great hotel in a great town”

Hotel was fantastic - the staff couldn't have been more attentive and willing to help. the rooms are spacious and most overlook the harbour. The pool and other facilities are great - simply top notch. Dinard is an awesome place to stay - very picturesque and right on the harbour. I recommend eating at one of the seafood places right down on the waterfront - fantastic Fruit des Mare.

“would recommend”

lovely, helpful staff. we have stayed at this hotel a few times and always been pleased. I think that the restaurant is overpriced, and could do with extending its menu- however the food is excellent. There are lots of restaurants in the town to explore. We usually stay on a sunday so it is usually quiet. A very good stopover for the ferry at st.malo.

“Very impressed”

Another wonderful hotel booked for us by Expedia. The reception staff were especially helpful as we were due to sail home during the fishermans strike and embargo of ports and they rang Condor ferries several times for information for us. Very impressed. Thank you

“Booked on the spur of the moment”

Having secured fights at a good price we searched for a hotel for the first night. The Barriere was not the cheapest but their attention to detail and customer service were excellent. They were able to give us a room (at the side) overlooking the sea with a tiny balcony - bliss to sit out on on arrival and watch the tide turn and the sun go down. The room was lovely and early the next morning I had the pool to myself. Breakfast was one of the beat we had. My only critisism would be there were no tea making facilities in the room, having said that we didnt have them in any hotel we stayed at on the trip, so take a kettle and the PG tips !!! Would love to go back next year and enjoy their hospitality and the beautiful town and great resturants.
