It was a beautiful place and the room (family room) was large and comfortable. The laundry facility was just a small washing machine (no dryer), so plan accordingly….I had to pack damp clothing the next day, as we continued our trip. The dinner and breakfast at the restaurant were both superb.

Room excellent. Dinner very bad.
The room was excellent. very comfortable and well designed. But... Dinner is optional as a 3 course meal, decided by the chef, at a price of 790 NOK (75 USD. 745 nok for dinner, and unexpected 45nok for water). I was very very dissapointed. 1st was a green peas soup. it was extremely too salty and very dense (didn't finish it). The bread was excellent (a hi hydration fuccacia). 2nd was a trout fish fillet, with cuscus, brocolli and coliflower. the fish was coocked right, but was missing some kick (maybe if the skin was left on the fish and became crispy). the souce was ok, again missing something. cuscus wasnt to my taste. vegetables were steamed. it was too mildly flavoured (didn't finish it). desert was a creamy between panacota and brule. a bit too mild. Overall flavours are not good enough, and there all missing textures changes. None of them made me want to eat more and expect the next bite. I would not recommend this dinner, and it certanly does not worth the very hi cost (75 USD).

What a memorable stay! Location makes the hotel to stand out of course - but everything else is also very good, from comfortable rooms (yes, with Nespresso machines!) to a tasty breakfast.

I have had to say this about many of the locations we visited in our trip to Norway. The location is absolutely stunning. Additionally, the room was comfortable and the breakfast options were quite delicious.

Quiet, remote and very peaceful
This was a perfect place along our journey to stop, rest, and embrace the power and beauty of nature. The bungalows are very well equipped and close to a Coop for food as needed. The internet is spotty but with so much raw nature why be held hostage to internet? We were there “off season” so very quiet. We enjoyed a fire in the stove nightly as we listened to a book! This is “camping” in style and something we sincerely enjoyed. There was a mix up in our reservations but the staff quickly and promptly offered a solution which resulted in an even better experience for us!

Vi kommer tillbaka!
Vi hade en fantastisk upplevelse med bastu och dopp i havet. Middagen var suverän med en prisbelönad och mycket erfaren kock som använde sig av vad den hotellnära naturen har att erbjuda i sin matlagning. Till frukosten var det hembakat bröd och lokalt plockade bär.

Ett fantastiskt hotell nära naturen värt omvägen
Ett fantastiskt fint och familjärt hotell med trevlig personal, god mat, jättefina rum och underbara vyer! Ett stort plus att det inte finns TV på rummen. Perfekt hotell om man reser med hund då det finns många fina promenadvägar. En jättefin upplevelse som vi varmt rekommenderar.

Jeg var hotellets eneste gjest, faktisk, dette er langt utenfor sesong her i havgapet. Til tross for dette var det en unormalt bra service, jeg kunne selv velge tidspunkt og type frokost, jeg fikk en liten leilighet til disposisjon, ettersom restauranten var stengt, av naturlige årsaker (sesong). Jeg skriver sjelden og aldri slike anmeldelser, men i dette tilfellet vil jeg gjerne meddele at jeg er strålende fornøyd med flott innsats fra de som driver dette fantastiske hotellet. Unn deg en tur selv om det er vinter, det har sin egen sjarm, det også. Et rent hav, en fantastisk utsikt, nok vær for en hel verdensdel, og store områder å gå tur i. Eller hvorfor ikke dykke i den utrolige skjærgården utenfor?

Ett døgns overnatting på en liten tur med hotellovernattinger flere steder i Møre og Romsdal. Nydelig natur, pent sted, utmerket mat og drikke. Lekkert rom, men savnet virkelig et lite kjøleskap på rommet, samt en liten tv. Wifi opplevdes ustabilt. Støv i krokene og snev av septiklukt på badet. Vennlig betjening i restauranten om kvelden.

Lets keep it a secret...
Hustadvika Havhotell is a truly unique experience. You have probably stayed at hotels with high standard and great service before - but this is something else. Service and standard is high although you may not expect your luggage to be carried in or a concierge booking your experiences - however you will get a truly unique experience with a genuinely friendly hospitality. The scenery and surroundings is really unique and the experience is simple but truly genuine. A dinner in the dining room would fit into any movie with great hospitality and a view you will not find anywhere else, they might not get a star in the Michelin guide for the food and the wine list is short, but it is definitely worth a detour of you journey to get here. We started our journey through western Norway here, discovering the Atlantic coast highway and then through the fjord-lands down to Bergen and Oslo, but the stay at Hustadvika would remain one of the top experiences throughout the entire journey. Id love to get back here to discover more seasons, I can just imagine what it would be like to be here a stormy night late autumn with the Atlantic ocean rioting on the doorstep.

Très belle étape, dorénavant hors de prix
Très bel endroit que nous avons pu nous payer car nous avions réservé en octobre 2021. Le prix pour une cabine pour 4 était alors de 1980 NOK sans le petit-déjeuner. Pas donné, mais acceptable pour le pays et le confort du logement. Les prix ont maintenant quasiment doublés ! Alors certes, le petit-déjeuner est dorénavant inclus (et il est très bon !), mais 350 ou 400 € pour une nuit, c'est quand même cher...

Hidden gem on our trip by Atlantveijen
Great stay. Feels like a hidden gem - we were there in beginning of July and it felt like off-season. However reception, bar and restaurant were open. Really good food and good service. Newly renovated rooms with beautiful view of the bay and mountains. Only minus is that the sauna was being renovated during our stay...

Fin rustikk hytte. Dører var trege å åpne,lås i verandadør var istykker. Måtte vaske opp selv og tømme søppel selv. Hadde regnet med at det var greit bare å sette inn i oppvaskmasin. Ikke ved til peisen. Første trinn inn var høyt fra marken. Bra vi ikke var bevegelseshemmet. Det er høy prisklasse og da er forventningene deretter. Godt renhold.

Skønne omgivelser og gode faciliteter! Vi bookede en af hytterne og stod selv for mad i køkkenet, men fik smakt på maden fra restauranten da vi også fejret 90 års dag. Ellers nød vi krabbefiske, bad, sauna og fantastiske solnedgange. Fint at cykle ind til den lokale butik og fantastisk tur til Farstadstranda og fyret på Nordneset. Næste gang skal vi også besøge Trollkirka!
