Great hotel - lovely stay - unbelievable staff - only two small gripes, no power plugs by the beds which I hate but I appreciate this is very personal also you have to climb into your bath to push the plug down in the bath because of the solid shower screen (unless I was being stupid this seemed liked very poor design)

Fantastic hotel and staff.
My wife and I stayed here for two nights and we absolutely loved it! Everything was perfect. Also, we had a car, so the parking garage was very convenient. The staff was very accommodating and professional, and I have to say specifically, the manager, Hilal, was a highlight. Her warmth and friendliness made a tremendous impact on both of us, and we felt she was largely responsible for making our stay extra special.

Property was okay. Nothing amazing. Loud construction noise and dust on all the surrounding streets. The town was absolutely dead. Only 2 bars open for food and drinks. One of them was a great little popular biker bar (bicyclists). The other one had horrible service. So really just 1 decent eating/drinking option in Alpe d’Huez in June. The nearby hiking trails offered amazing views of the Alps. If you’re not a hiker or a bicyclist, don’t go there in June. There’s nothing else happening.

This place was very nice, quality rooms very comfortable friendly staff for the most part, did talk to 3 people and never got towels at the pool and finally resorted to using wet towels to “dry”off. Location could not be better snow cat groomed through the building at night pretty cool to watch. Would definitely stay there again.

gorgeous hotel with heated outdoor pool
Lovely hotel, heated pool and jacuzzi were perfect for Mountain climate, restaurants and indoor spa/pool looked amazing but closed due to covid and/or seasonality. Huge super comfy bed in prestige room. Would stay here again during ski season in a heartbeat!

Superb Hotel

It used to be very good...now it's just a mess!!
I have been to this hotel 3 times and it used to be really good, unfortunately now it has been expanded and is just a huge disorganized mess! At checkout they tried to charge me again even though I had already paid for the room online, same for the second room which was a present for my parents (and in this way they saw the price). They tried to charge me for stuff inside the minibar which we didn't use because they had no idea what was in the room. Before they expanded the hotel clients had access to the SPA,now it is at an extra cost (indoor spa).It is only free if you use it between 10am - 2pm which is useless for anyone that is there to ski. The new outdoor SPA is nice but definitely not big enough for the amount of people the hotel can now accommodate: they have hundreds of rooms and the outside SPA has 8 places in the Jacuzzi and 8 in the Sauna. The new rooms are aesthetically nice but not finished (missing parts, empty picture frames) and badly organized: nowhere to hang towels in the bathroom, bathroom door that can be only half opened because the TV is blocking the other half, room was dusty, extremely uncomfortable to enter the shower/bathtub since you need to climb over a high bathtub wall and land on the tilted part of the tub where your back is supposed to go (there is no way an elderly person will get in and out of it). The great 4 stars hotel and nice services doesn’t exist anymore,now you will just get a giant disorganized mess which is definitely not worth it

Definitely not worth the money; go elsewhere
After a 2 week tour of France, we can definitively say this was our worst experience. The service was terrible. We asked where to park, and we weren’t allowed to leave our bags in the lobby while we moved the car. We weren’t told there was a shuttle and the lot we were directed to was full. We had to drag our suitcases 500m in the snow. When we asked about the shuttle the next day they said we needed to wait. 20 minutes later we decided to walk... again. We had the Christmas Ever dinner at great, great cost, and the food was terrible. Multiple people left before the last course. We were ignored by the servers for most of the meal. Later on in the trip we had a *** Michelin meal that cost less than the dinner we had here. After dinner the empty lobby bar blasted club music until late in the night. When we asked if the music could be turned down because our windows were shaking they said there was nothing they could do. Overall, the trip was a mix of budget and nicer hotels, and I preferred the budget over this hotel. The view from the room was nice, but everything else was way below average. Bad service, bad food, poor amenities that they charges guests the privilege to use. I have tried to contact the management about our experience and have not gotten a response. There are cheaper hotels in the area that offer better amenities and attitudes.

Terrific location. Staff terrific. Nothing is too much trouble. Only problem is the dinner service is slow. The restaurant on the 3rd floor is so lovely and relaxed. Breakfast there is like home.

Great relaxing stay
We spend a lovely weekend in the French Alps, mainly because the hotel has all the facilities to make a great Alpine experience: from parking, through ski shop to private chalets with local raclette dinner to great spa and outdoor pool. J'adore!

Brilliant stay
Great hotel with super facilities ! Loved the authentically winter autmoaphere turned into hosting summer guests. The staff are friendly and they speak English and are helpful. The area have lots of great restaurants and food for any type you wish for. The only minus is the bus transportation (if needed) to Le Bourg at the bottom of the mountain - summer timing are horrible. Beside this super place and location.

Nice spa and location to ski lift. Hotel is currently being extended which we were not informed of. View from room was a construction site. Make sure you check you bill as we had many discrepancies and were overcharged as items appeared we had already paid for.

Great food, comfortable room but not enough shelves for clothes The ski room is comfortable but not dry enough and the boots stays wet The basket lift nearby is nice transport but has stairs to climb and is not real Ski-in/out experience The hotel is close to the Main Street, very quiet The ski area and weather conditions were excellent, additional activities such as paragliding are available

Just Great!
First ever trip alone, just wanting to ride up the mountain. Had a perfect stay! great restaurants in town, great breakfast at hotel, great atmosphere in general. Staff was super helpful and Phillip was especially attentive - knowing my name from day 1 (small things :))

location great then it all was 'downhill'.
Parking hardly secure - by side of road. Reception good but bar manager arrogant and wine was standard 14E a glass (85 E a bottle) and it was indifferent french wine. Others in the bar refused to drink wine for the same reasons. Restaurant food dreadful. Worst steak I've had in 5 years of travelling all over france. Sent it back but no refund and barely an apology. We left after only 1 night of a 2 night stop and went to a mercure in Aix les bains (excellent).. View from our room in Les Alpes de Huez?- broken fence panels, boxes of dead plants - really poor management. Then we find that the village is virtually closed in June and he hotel looked like it needed a refresher as did the village. Very overgrown with weeds and unkempt grass . We were the ONLY visitor all day at the tourist office. DONT GO THERE UNLESS YOUR CYCLE MAD OR A SKIER.

very pleasant stay.
Great location close to the slopes but near the shops, next door to a drag lift and opposite a transfer point to the main lift centre 5 minutes away so no carrying of equipment long distances. Excellent food, rooms and facilities. Nice bar, well decorated as was the whole hotel and a very good musician each night providing a range of music. If there was a negative to be found they could do with a house wine on the menu, the cheapest on the menu was Eur30 which seemed a little high for France though the quality was good. All in all a great and convenient place to stay.

Stayed here for a cycling short holiday. Alp D'Huez was a superb resort. The hotel itself was excellent with smooth check-in and 24 hour service. Extremely professional and polite. Facilities include a safe lock up area for bikes. If you have a road bike you can even keep it in the room if its clean but you really don't need to. The hotel is ideally situated looking down into the town with spectacular views. An easy stroll to great restaurants. Breakfast was plentiful. help yourself to a wide array of products.Great to start you off each morning. The décor is dated but quirky. Would certainly recommend this Hotel.

Great hotel, shame about the breakfast.
Stayed out of season but was busy with road cyclists, room was great, view was great, very good value for money but breakfast let it down. We were told breakfast was until 10am, we got there at 8.30am and there was very little left and they would not re-stock. If we had paid extra for the breakfast we would have complained and got our money back but it was included.

Comfortable friendly hotel
We only stayed for one night as we were enroute elsewhere. We found the staff to be very friendly and courteous. It was fairly quiet in town as off season so many of the restaurants and bars were closed. We ate in the hotel as was quite cool and damp outside so we enjoyed the comfort of the hotel. Food was excellent. Enjoyed our stay and would stay again if in the area.

Ideal location and excellent facilities
The hotel was an ideal base for us, my husband spent his time cycling the iconic local climbs and I was able to relax, in comfort waiting for his weary return! The buffet breakfast was first class, with an excellent choice to even satisfy the fussiest of eaters. The staff couldn't have been more helpful, arranging places to eat ( as the restaurant wasn't open in the evenings) to checking whether the local cycling climbs were open or not. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in Alpe D'Huez

Great stay!
We really enjoyed our stay! Extra nice staff...live music in the lobby bar in the evenings...makes you want to hang out and visit. The rooms were spotless and well appointed. Location was fabulous for skiing. You literally walk out the front door and onto a free transport lift that puts you in the middle of the mountain. I would certainly recommend!

Good hotel in great location
This is a very nice hotel, nice rooms and great location. Only two issues were room not bring cleaned one day, after we notified reception the wasn't cleaned until the following day. It's also hard to find a clean table at breakfast, these only appear to be cleaned on request. In all would still stay again as these minor points were made up for by the room standard and location.
