Lovely spot - as advertised
Quaint property a short trip from Lunenburg. Quiet, peaceful - if you need a break from the hustle, this is your spot. Only stayed one night, but place was super well equipped. Took the kayak out for a paddle. Host was responsive, friendly and available (if needed), otherwise you didnt notice she was on-site. Highly recommended!

Peaceful getaway
Amazing little spot on the lake! We had everything we needed and it was nice to relax by the lake after a day of sightseeing. If you stay, take the time for a swim and paddle a kayak out on the lake. And have a visit with Corinne and Oso because they are amazing!

Quiet lakeside rural studio retreat
Attended a week long course in Lunenburg so we decided to stay at this property. I swam twice daily in the gorgeous lake. We enjoyed two evenings in the double kayak exploring parts of the lake. We bought local farm produce from Bob and the Boys. We did some cycling in the area. We did not see anyone on the lake during our stay so it was quiet and peaceful.

Just a stunning location and space. Well thought out details from the warm lighting option to the overhead rain shower head. Lake view, garden and deck area amazing. We will be back if we are ever in this neck of the woods again!

Wonderful Little Spot!
My fiancé and I enjoyed our stay at the Eagles Nest for our anniversary, the space was exactly what we wanted for a getaway! We loved that all we had to do was bring our clothes and food, that makes travelling so much easier! Corinne was very kind and welcoming, her pup Mr. Oso is a gentle giant! Thank you for such a wonderful stay!

A Breath of Fresh Air

It was a great place for two overlooking a lake . No heaters in the bathroom so this time of year it was kinda cool in there. Summer stays should be great. The hostess was very friendly.

Quaint, cozy suite!
Corinne and Mr.Oso are excellent hosts, and communication was top notch. The suite is cozy, warm and suited our needs perfectly! The view of the lake and sunset, is spectacular. Will definitely be back in the warmer months to enjoy the water activities.

Your own “private” lake away from it ALL!
So glad we found this listing which I chose so that my fiancé could swim in a lake. Total peace and privacy in a renovated studio apartment and kayaks/float for your use down by the water. Corinne has thought of everything, and you can tell it is a labor of love. Lovely clean water for swimming/kayaking did not see another soul.

We had a wonderfully quiet and relaxing weekend at The Eagle’s Landing and it actually turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip. It was easy to find and central to everything we wanted to see and do. The outdoor space was completely awesome and we spent our mornings drinking tea listening to birds, suppers by candlelight at the bistro table and reading on the couch before heading inside to bed, all while surrounded by cascading grape vines on the deck. The interior was cozy and very well stocked with anything might need, the air conditioning was a nice addition but the windows also open, letting in the country air. The bathroom was spacious and modern with a rain head shower. Little extras like outdoor sensored lighting, homemade pottery made onsite,clothes line, BBQ and even a small freezer. The other really AMAZING feature about this property was the short walk to the lake. We took advantage of the wonderful space created by our host at the lake’s edge. Pea gravel to the dock made swimming and kayaking easy to access, the water was quite warm. Kayaks were supplied as well as life jackets and we enjoyed gliding over water lilies, spotting the elusive Mr. Beaver and seeing many different bird species while gazing at the gorgeous sunset. It really was icing on the cake after a long day of being a tourist. Corinne and Mr. Oso were excellent hosts. We had some great chats and were made to feel comfortable and right at home. I hope to return again.

Perfect getaway spot!
We only stayed one night, but we had an amazing time and wish we could have stayed longer! The property had everything we needed and more, and the hosts, Corinne and Mr. Oso, were so welcoming and friendly! Great spot to unplug for a little getaway from the city, and you can very clearly tell Corinne takes great pride in her beautiful property. Corinne and Mr. Oso were staying down by the water so we were able to sit and chat, but she also gave us our own space which was a perfect balance! She even played some nice music while we sat and watched the sunset from the lake :) Highly recommend, and we can't wait to go back. Thanks Corinne and Mr. Oso!

Corinne was a great host and made sure we had everything we needed. Its the perfect spot to spend the day reading and taking the kayaks out on the lake. Loved watching the hummingbirds and bees around the flowers. Bonus: the flies on the property were not too bad! We had a great time and would stay again.

The lake was beautiful and it was wonderful to have the use of the kayak. There were a couple of things we would recommend: a complete clean of webs under furniture - it helps control the bugs (which are expected in a secluded area). Not being able to have a key or lock our unit when we were out, although the host offered to go and get a key made. Also, guests should know they need to bring brickets and fuel. The bed was comfortable and although you are below the hosts home, it was quiet.

Shhh so peaceful - studio / veranda in garden steps to wild lake.
2 nights stay, need to go back. Beautiful garden with visiting hummingbird. Host is good fun, kind and happy to share local knowledge. Studio had everything we needed even what we forgot to bring.

For us it was the perfect place! We got what we wanted and more! Great ‘cottage’ to come back to at the end of a full sightseeing day and also well equipped to enjoy hanging out and relaxing for the day down by the lake. Our host was very accommodating and friendly.

So relaxing!! Me and my boyfriend wanted a weekend out of the city and this was perfect!!! It is an amazing find. The views are amazing. The kyacks are free to use on-site. There was no need to leave the cabin during our stay.

We loved it. Corinne was an excellent communicator and very understanding despite our having misread the listing. Her ability to negotiate with us and her friendliness rescued our own error from crashing our quarantine. It helped that it was a beautiful and special property of course!

Excellent stay!!
Great place to self-isolate in Nova Scotia. Our stay was just perfect! We were not looking forward to quarantining. This location changed that concern. It was simply a perfect spot to self-isolate. It is very private and plenty to do. We appreciated all the help Corinne gave us during our stay. Since we were not allowed to leave the property, she graciously helped us with getting the supplies we needed. We had no issue from the time we booked, during the check-in, or the check-out. We could not have asked for a better host or location. The care taken in the property upkeep is commendable. Thank you for your openness and kindness over throughout our entire stay. Great place to stay. The lake is beautiful and fun to explore with kayak. The apartment is clean and very well equipped. There is AC which is nice on hot humid nights! There are so many awesome beaches within a half hour drive. Corinne is very helpful and friendly!

Gorgeous lake property
We stayed in the lower level Eagle's Landing unit during the peak of the fall color season. It was beautiful! Great views. We even took the kayaks for a ride around the island. The unit is very nicely appointed with all the amenities needed. Including kitchen amenities, it has everything. The shower is amazing, loved the heated floor, especially after a paddle at 3°C (37°F).

Beautiful wilderness hideaway.
For all those people looking for that cabin in the woods with a lake close bye this is it. You even have internet as well. What a fantastic place to stay. Very clean and all the amenities you need. Well stocked kitchen with all the appliances you need to cook. Even an outside bbq with briquettes supplied. You also get to see the sun set every night across the valley .this location is close to Lunenburg and not too far from Peggys Cove or Halifax. Great place for a romantic getaway or relax and enjoy nature.

Who could ask for more?
This was most enjoyable stay I have had from any online rental in the world I have made over the past decade. Everything has been thought of for the guest. Amazing use of the space. Best amenities I have ever seen. Beautiful location. Sufficiently secluded yet relatively close to anything you could want. Just pack your bags and dogs from the city and go. Anyone looking for a little R&R will enjoy staying here. Corinne is great at returning communications very quickly. They have made the process completely seamless and pain-free. I would give it a 10 out of five if I could.

I very much enjoyed my stay but there was a few things that weren’t the best. First there was literally 100s of fruit flies so that wasn’t awesome, if you are not a fan of swimming in and around rocky/weeded areas then I wouldn’t plan on swimming lastly I was under the impression that I would be staying in a private location but I was wrong there was an olde couple staying above us which we had the inconvenience of speaking to far to often. If your a private person this may not be the spot for you

Hello Corey, I did specifically ask you to contact me if anything was wrong. Fruit flies during hot summer days only come if you leave food out or dishes not done in the sink. The studio did not have any when you arrived. This listing does show that this is a rocky lake. I don't agree with the weeds as the water is crystal clear. The listing clearly indicates that the Eagle's Landing is below the Eagle's Nest and that there are two units in the house with a privacy fence. I am just happy that these small things did not ruin your weekend.

Great get away
We were looking for a little weekend get away to celebrate our anniversary. Loved the quaint, clean and beautiful view at our location. So peaceful. We ventured around the area and was great to come back to the quiet and relaxing atmosphere. Highly recommend to all !

Lovely three day getaway
The studio served our purpose for our three day stay. The kitchen was well equipped, would prefer a larger fridge. Nice views of lake and enjoyed the patio outside. Didn’t swim but sat by the lake enjoying a breeze on the hot day we were there.

Eagle's Landing is amazing
For 2 people, this studio is all you need. Everything you need is here. A very comfortable bed, a beautiful bathroom, a fully stocked kitchen and a cute deck with amazing views of the lake. When you stay here, ask Corrine for a tour of Eagle's Nest upstairs. It is the luxury version of the studio unit. Loved our 6 day stay here and you will too.
