“Great Deal in Hays”

We were very satisfied with our room (one night stay), happy with the breakfast, and have no complaints. Can definitely recommend this hotel.

“Good quality for the money”

Overall the hotel was really nice, the only complaint I had abouit ouir room is that the carpet was pretty worn and pulled away at the bathroom entrance. The staff was really nice and helpful and the breakfast in the morning was fantastic - much more than most continental breakfasts. Would stay here again!

Area recommendations
Hays is not a big area we were on the main drag so to speak and our rooms were right on the front of the hotel BUT we did NOT have any problem with noise! Good area easy access to the college.

“good hotel”

good solid hotel Expedia rate was better than "convention rate" offered by conference I was attending

“very nice hotel for the rate.”

I would book it again if I ever need to. Nice & quiet. Close To I-70.

“Good place to sleep, but hang out, no.”

I couldn't control the heat or A/C in the room, which sucked when it was 86 degrees and the room was almost as warm.

“It was ok”

I always think it is interesting when you go to a motel and ask for a crib that there are no blankets or sheets with it. A nice touch would be if your staff sat it up. Luckily I was visiting my son and he took the playpen to the room for me. Otherwise, I would have been trying to carry my granddaughter and a playpen plus put it up. I used the bedspread to put under her so she wasn't lying directly on the bottom. The room was fine.

“Cheap”

We drove from MN to CO and needed a place to sleep along the way. The Days Inn seemed fairly new and therefore is still clean and kept up. It's the motel style with room access from the outside of the building. The kind where the window is next to the door and you don't want to open the curtains because everybody gawks into your room. Maybe it doesn't bother other people but we are just not comfortable being in a motel room like this. This is the main reason why I wouldn't recommend it. Again, if it's no problem for you, you can sleep there for a night. On the upside, the wifi worked for our android tablet. We stayed in another Days Inn during the same trip and there it didn't work because the hotel start page wouldn't load. The front desk guy said it's only a problem for tablets, lap tops are OK.

“Quick stop on road trip”

Needed a one night stop on road trip. Hays Days Inn was merely a Convenience stop after 14+ hours on the road that day. It was clean, but worn out and run down. The breakfast was ok the next morning. Overall, it was a place to sleep and that's it. I wouldn't recommend it for any stay longer than that.

“Not bad for the price.”

This hotel is located near the highway and all the main restaurants and stores. It smelled and looked clean, although you can definitely see its age. It's not fancy, but I slept well, and my kids enjoyed the outdoor pool. The breakfast included waffles and biscuits and gravy, cereal and bagels.

Area recommendations
My kids really liked visiting Old Fort Hays and the Sternberg Museum.
