ve great location for access to StD; pleasant period property; clean and comfortable -ve not such a major issue but sound insulation could be better; rear bathroom fan didn’t seem to work whilst the flapping plastic fan bits outside were a bit annoying

wonderful location
This was a perfect location for getting around St. David's and just a minute from the grocery. Charming place with plenty of room and well appointed. Matt was very helpful when we didn't understand the different electrical requirements of shower and washer/dryer and very responsive any time we contacted him for info. Thanks so much for a lovely visit!

Great central St David’s location -well equipped and super coastline
Property was centrally located and well stocked. Owner was brilliant - communication and information was prompt and helpful. Upstairs flat could be noisy at times mainly at the start of the day due to large family staying in the flat above. Apart from that everything was great

We had a lovely break away at the property - everything we needed was there and shops on the doorstep. The house was very well presented and comfortable and lots to explore in the area. Thank you Matt for your good hosting! Sally and Deirdre

Nice place in the heart of St David’s
Very nice, well appointed ground floor flat. Clean and comfortable. Small garden for when it’s sunny. We had a really nice week and this cosy flat was a part of that. Only one small gripe. I don’t know if the people upstairs were overly noisy but what noise there is is very much transmitted to ground floor from above. Walking, opening doors, chatting etc all appeared quite loud.

We had a lovely time at this apartment. It was everything we needed and the location was fantastic . Supermarket 2 mins away as were all the amenities in St David’s . Easy parking . Superb walking from the apartment. We arrived Saturday but didn’t need our car until the Thursday . This is a ground floor apartment with an apartment above . Some noise from above. We would definitely return . Thankyou Matt for a lovely stay .

Ideal for us
With its very separate bedrooms and bathrooms this was perfect for two singles. It was very comfortable and aesthetically pleasing with high quality cooking equipment. It was good to be so near the centre of St Davids and also able to bring the dog, with east access to a suitable garden.

Perfect spot, everything you need
We had the ground floor flat for a long weekend. The accommodation was spacious and clean and quiet. Matt was really helpful and we had a parking permit so could park right outside. The location was great, near the central square and the Cathedral but really quiet and peaceful. There is a brilliant well equipped kitchen and the big sofas were exceptionally comfortable. It was also really handy having an en suite shower and a real bath with lovely candles! Would highly recommend.

Clean, light and neat
This flat is in the central area of St David’s, close to the shops and cathedral. It’s was lovely to be able to walk from St David’s to the coastal paths and not have to drive every day. Lots to do in the area, we had brilliant sunshine everyday, which was a really bonus. The living areas, kitchen and front room are spacious and well furnished. The kitchen is very equipped. With the coat / boot area + washing machine off the kitchen. There are two bedrooms, the main bedroom has an shower room off it. However the main bedroom is very full with furniture, a large wardrobe rather dominates the room. The double bed also needs a new mattress, not just a foam topper on top. The second bedroom has two single beds beside each other. The main bathroom is beside the second bedroom. We were a party of 3 and the flat was good for our needs. A small seating area by the kitchen window, has the sun on it for a lot of the day. A nice flat in a lovely city.

We really enjoyed our stay in this house
Just what we needed. Interesting house. Right next to town centre. A level walk for my elderly Mum. All facilities as per description. House was nicely refurbished and clean. The cooking facilities were good and the knives were sharp (we usually end up having to buy knives or pots) The Sheltered garden was a lovely spot for breakfast and tea. You can hear the people upstairs moving around, but this only affected us once when the children woke and played very early one morning (I expect they were excited to be on holiday ) We really enjoyed our stay and would love to return.

Nice place
Matthew welcomed us to the apartment and showed us around. It's a bit of a strange layout but had everything we wanted, including a very comfortable double bedroom at the back of the property. The bedrooms are not particularly small but full of quite large, old-fashioned furniture so did seem quite crowded. The kitchen is very large and fully equipped with everything we needed. However, the lay out is a bit odd as the sink and fridge are on one side of the room and the cooker and cupboards on the other so there is a lot of traipsing back and forth....which is a good thing if you're wearing a FitBit! It can be tricky to find a space to offload luggage outside the apartment but we were lucky second time around and there is parking provided close by. Be careful not to park on the main road for longer than the allotted time, even with a parking permit, as we saw several cars with parking tickets. St David's is a lovely place and a good base for exploring the area. It does get very busy with tourists over the holidays but there are a lot of good shops and a fabulous deli. It would have been useful to have had instructions about how to silence the smoke alarms as on two occasions we tripped them whilst cooking, even with the back door and the kitchen window open, as there is no extraction fan. There is also no instruction on the recycling arrangements included in the apartment information. Beware if there is a large group of people in the apartment upstairs as we were woken up on a couple of mornings by heavy footsteps above the bedroom, from which we presumed that the upstairs kitchen is above the double bedroom. Overall, we had a lovely stay in St David's but would probably not stay here again.

Response from VrboOwner on 27 Mar 2020
I am disappointed that 31b was not suitable for your holiday in St. Davids and I would like to address the issues raised in your review: “layout” – it may be strange to find one bedroom at the rear and the other within the plan of the apartment. This was designed as such during the refurbishment in order to maximise the space and avoid having redundant corridor space and smaller rooms. Guests, be they 2 couples or families like this layout as it affords better privacy. “crowded bedrooms” – the bedrooms are furnished with period and modern furniture appropriate to an Edwardian townhouse. Each bedroom has the minimum provision as specified by the Welsh tourist board. A bedroom with no dressing table/chest or wardrobe would not meet these standards. Kitchen layout – the kitchen is designed to utilise all available wall space efficiently. There are 3 room doors, a large window which floods it with natural daylight and an original chimney breast, all of which dictate the layout. Previous culinary proficient guests have praised its spaciousness, layout and efficiency. No extractor fan is fitted as this would require external ducting not permitted within a conservation area. A recirculating extractor would simply remove smells, whereas opening a window is a far more practical solution. ‘smoke alarms’ – The alarms are required by law to be a ‘wired’ system and respond to both smoke/heat. They silence themselves once the potential threat has subsided. They cannot be tampered with in order to silence as they also provide warning to adjoining properties. It is best to avoid causing them to trigger. Parking – there is ‘one hour’ street parking directly outside with ample space to unload/load luggage. A designated private parking area is provided just around the corner so guests avoid the worry of penalties. Recycling –recycling refuse bags are provided and I do not require guest to feel that it is their responsibility to deal with the disposal of refuse whilst on vacation. As outlined on arrival, if there are any queries, I am only a text or call away with an answer. The apartment is presented as detailed in the description and images provided on the website. This review is in complete contrast to another review received this week by previous guests, who are travel writers and have published their review in the Mago Guide, where they name 31b and myself as their top host for their 6 month Europe and North America trip. http://www.magoguide.net/st-davids-rental-review/

amazing place
This was our second stay, at the Apartment, and once again were delighted to say how great it has been. Matthew as before is lovely full of welcoming smiles and nothing is a problem, he was here to greet us with the keys to the apartment which is a 2 (double) bedroom with the master bedroom being en suite, wet room. the kitchen is large with a dining table in and has everything a good kitchen needs, also a dishwasher and washer/dryer. The sitting room, is nice and bright and plenty of seats, a smart t.v and fire, a good place to relax after a day out. The bathroom, has a bath/shower, and there is always hot water. The bedding and towels are of hotel quality as with everything in the apartment. there's a patio area by the back door and a dog safe garden at the back which is a lovely place to sit out. There is 2 small outbuildings for storing of wetsuits etc. The apartment is very clean and well looked after, and the welcome goodie pack is so nice. The apartment is in St Davids about a min walk from the centre yet is quiet.

Well equipped property in great location
This property was an ideal base for our week's holiday. Perfectly situated to enjoy all the delights of St. David's including the wide choice of eateries. We were so well catered for that we barely needed to use the spacious and well equipped kitchen. We enjoyed several breakfasts at the very friendly Sound Cafe. The bedrooms are small but the beds are very comfortable and there is storage space for suitcases etc.

As advertised and enjoyable.
Our accommodations in St.Davids were comfortable, spacious, clean, and well-maintained, comprising the entire first floor of a circa 1920 house as advertised. They included two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a gas powered fireplace, a fully equipped kitchen (with many dishes, pots and pans, cookie sheets, etc) and a washer/dryer combo, and Wi-Fi. The location was within easy walking distance of a grocery, the Visitor's Center, multiple bus stops, and multiple restaurants. Our favorite was the Grove Hotel Restaurant with its sunny and cheerful dining room and nice menu. The lodging also had close access to the Wales Coastal Path which we greatly enjoyed. The massive St.Davids cathedral and ruins of the bishop's palace were also within easy walking distance. Matthew, the proprietor was cheerful, forthcoming, and happy to answer questions about the apartment and the region and easily accessible. Would recommend it to friends or relatives. Matthew responded quickly to all inquiries.

Erdgeschosswohnung in zentraler Lage
Schöne, geräumige Erdgeschosswohnung, mit allem, was man braucht.
