Great property in the center of town. Rooms were large, well appointed and very nice. Continental breakfast wasn't much, but nice. Staff was excellent; very friendly and helpful. I would recommend this property to anyone in the area.

What a beautiful hotel. We were offered the Garden Suite which was a total delight. Staff so very friendly and accommodating. Food good. Close to the Thermal pools, shops and restaurants. Enjoyed it so much, we stayed another night,

The hotel was in a great location in the centre of town Grounds were very well maintained and pool area was great.Room and dining area were great as well .I would highly recommend this hotel.

We were very happy with comfort of room . It was nice to be able to walk to hot springs from hotel . We enjoyed a meal in dining room and also continental breakfast in am.

Comfortable accommodation, well positioned and convenient for Hanmer shops and attractions. Staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms did not have air conditioning. The electric fans provided were efficient but a bit noisy. The food was excellent, and overall a most enjoyable stay. We would definitely stay again.

Aged wine.
It was a beautiful old lady of a hotel. The walls showed how she was built and used to be the gem of genteel society. But it is a bit run down in places. Not sure if that is a negative… Felt like we were staying in a historical building. The beds were comfortable and the grounds were stunning!

Less than satisfied
Bed was uncomfortable, poor lighting and dated. Bathroom was not cleaned properly and there was an old toothbrush jammed down one of the sinkholes that hadnt been removed. Hotel restaurant was pretty bad and over priced. Wont be dining there again.

The breakfast provided was amazing, also how comfortable the beds were. I didn’t like how hot the room was and learning that no rooms had air-conditioning, very disappointing in this day and age. Very overpriced as a result.

Good value. The beds were very comfortable, the breakfast was good. The reception staff were excellent. The building is very dated inside and could do with a proper clean, there is a lingering musty smell throughout. The breakfast staff was fairly rude. There didn’t seem to be a/c in the bedrooms so it was very hot and clammy at night. However the price we paid was fair so I would stay again.

Nice hotel, but could be so much better
Beds were very soft, and perhaps starting to sag in the middle. This is an iconic hotel in Hanmer, but is very bland. Soft furnishing and perhaps some colour in the rooms would be good. The rooms just seam a little bland.

Top spot in Hanmer
Fantastic location , gorgeous grounds , lovely pool area - nice and warm even when cold outside. Spacious attractive restaurant with very good pizza and breakfast. Staff were lovely and very peaceful location. Only criticism was that the figments in the rooms were a little bit tired- could do with updating some of the drawer fronts etc- otherwise- fantastic
