The Westin is an OK hotel. It is not amazing but not bad either. However, when we stayed there, some repairs were scheduled the next day. The pool was closed and a power outage was scheduled and started at 10 am the next day, so we had to leave earlier. Things like that happen and it is understandable. What was a bit a surprise is that the hotel did nothing at all to either warn us in advance or somehow compensate for those issues. A complimentary breakfast would do, free parking, etc. We booked this hotel because the pool was important to us and it wasn’t available. We did not plan on leaving earlier, etc. Should we know about this in advance, we would cancel and stay in another hotel.

I was very disappointed to arrive the evening before a day-long scheduled power cut. Food stored in the room fridge went bad and we could not get work done because it was impossible to charge phones/laptops. The bed was uncomfortable and the shower had little floor support underneath so it felt like you would fall through the floor.

That was my second time staying there while visiting my son at University. I love the location and the staff are all so friendly. The fitness facility is great, as is the salt water pool & hot tub.
