The Green Hotel is a great place to stay! Dinh, the receptionist is lovely and has some nice tour options for reasonable prices. I would be happy to stay there again.

Budget hotel with some problems
This is a three star review for a two night stay. Room: Had two queen beds that were incredibly hard and bound in pleather instead of normal mattress material. We know the standard in Vietnam is hard, but this was surprising. The AC in the room works well but takes a very long time to cool the room from its hot summer state. There is a safe in the room but the front desk states they do not have the physical key to give to us. Given this is such an easy fix, we were surprised they did not consider investing in this common feature and having a key made. There is also no do not disturb sign which would would have used to limit entry into a safeless room. Wifi is acceptable (11mbps download when I checked). Fridge in the room and two mini bottles of water per day left in room (recommendation to put them in the fridge in the future). Hair dryer and decent toiletries provided in good quantity. Drawers in room about to fall off wall but has a functioning wardrobe. Breakfast: highlight of the property with fresh guava and pineapple juice, crepes, toast, bananas, passion fruits, and over easy eggs. Jam may contain traces of fruit. Coffee was just ok with only milk to add (recommendation to serve condensed milk as most local hotels do). Area: I really cannot recommend Cat Ba to anyone except those taking a cruise. Accessibility: step to get into shower, elevator not working to get down to ground floor but can go up from it. Value: Low for Vietnam but at par for Catba

Amazing hotel
Amazing stay here! So close to everything we always walked everywhere. The vegetarian restaurant downstairs was really good as well. Free water in lobby and extremely friendly staff that helped us book boat tour and helped us with ferries and anything we needed. Room was clean and spacious. Breakfast was delicious and lots of options

The most hospitable hotel on Cat Ba
I absolutely loved staying here! The owner was so friendly and helped us out with anything we needed. She booked our excursions and even had people teach us how to drive motor scooters before we took off around the island. The breakfast each morning was sooo good, we were obsessed with the Vietnamese style crepes and made to order eggs. There is even a vegan restaurant downstairs that was delicious, we kept going back. If I am ever back on Cat Ba Island I will make sure to stay here again!

Most helpful staff
The hotel was well situated but still in a quiet area. It was clean and very stocked on amenities but the best part was the service. We booked a boat tour and our travel back to Hanoi with the hotel which was seemless. We also got laundry washed and the breakfast everyday was delicious and filling. Couldn’t recommend more!

Cat Ba Green hotel was amazing value for money! The rooms were clean and spacious, and we really enjoyed the breakfast of fruit, pancakes and eggs every day. It's slightly away from the main road, which is lovely as it's quieter in the evenings, but you can walk to all the restaurants in just a few minutes. The owner of the hotel was extremely helpful with booking excursions/transfers etc. I would highly recommend this hotel.

It was okay. Staff were nice. Toilet sink has some issues with water drainage. Bed is not very comfortable. Air conditioner doesn’t run always. I had no clue.

Great stay at Cat Ba Green Hotel
The manager at this hotel is wonderful. She helped us rent motorbikes, book a tour and find some wonderful coffee. She speaks enough English to help with all questions. Breakfast is to order of a menu and is included with the stay. I would definitely go back. I have found a new friend.

The service was good and the location was great. Unfortunately the bathroom was very dirty, the breakfast was disappointing and the air conditioning needed a long time to cool the room. I would not return to this hotel.

Très bon rapport qualité-prix. Chambre calme et personnel top. Petit déjeuner très très bon. Nous avons loué un scooter en passant par l’hôtel, mais nous sommes tombés en panne. Dépannage rapide, mais personnellement, après cela, j’aurai effectué un geste commercial par rapport au dérangement.

Einmal und nie wieder.
Waren drei Nächte hier. Die Bettwäsche war eindeutig noch von dem vorherigen Gästen. Zimmer nicht sauber. A/C kann nicht wärmen, Zimmer war sehr kalt Abends/Nachts.

It was really spacious and a very pleasant place. The staffs were kind and gave me good information. It's a little bit uphill but not far from the central of Catba town.

Für den Preis war das Hotel echt super. Die Zimmer waren schön, das Personal sehr nett und hilfsbereit und man ist schnell zu Fuß überall hingekommen.

위치는 그쩌그래요. 쪼씩도 그쩌그래요. 그래도 스텝분들이 엄청엄청 친절하시고 좋아요! 꼼퐝이 냄새가 나는방도 있더라구요ㅎ 그것만빼고는 괜찮았어요!
