There was a young woman hanging around the motel who appeared to be having hallucinations from being on drugs and told my daughter and I that she had a glock. She was scantily dressed, so putting 2 and 2 together, we figured she was a "lady of the night." The manager on duty should have forced her to leave. There were other questionable individuals milling about, and we did not feel safe. The final straw was our room. It appeared clean upon entering, but when we turned down the sheets on the beds, there was black pet hair on the duvet cover, in the sheets and all over the pillows. We are both allergic to pet hair and have asthma. I felt sorry for the manager on duty as she was alone, and had several situations to deal with at once. We were offered new bedding to make up the beds ourselves, but for 250.00 for one night, I expect a safe, clean environment. We left and stayed at Staybridge Suites for 235.00. Normal people/families and a clean, beautiful room. Econolodge is misrepresenting their rooms, facility and charging outrageous prices.
