Hop between Groton’s other important landmarks. The Submarine Force Library & Museum lets visitors board the first nuclear-powered submarine and learn about Connecticut’s boatbuilding industry. Wander through the halls of Avery-Copp House, a colonial-style timber home built in the early 1800s.

Experience the local character at its strongest on Groton City Day. This spirited event takes place on the first Friday in August, when town officials and politicians cook for the local community while fun events are put on for families.
Fly into Tweed New Haven Airport and drive for an hour to reach Groton. Come in fall to enjoy the parks in the area featuring colourful seasonal foliage.
