“Good clean inexpensive Greenville hotel”

We came up to see a Pirate football game and needed a clean, reasonably priced hotel that was convenient to campus and restaurants but also in a safe place. We did not go wrong with the Microtel Inn. It seemed like a fairly new hotel so everything had that new look to it. Room was very clean and comfortable and it was everything we needed. The continental breakfast was nothing to get excited about, your typical carbs but it would have been nice for them to have some fruit as well. We got a great rate on expedia and enjoyed our stay. We would definitely stay here again.

I enjoyed this hotel and plan to stay there again. The continental breakfast is typical but I like that kind of food. The shower head was a good one and the bed was so very comfortable. I even liked their pillows and usually I don't like hotel pillows. The areas for improvement are: 1 the front desk staff tended to be young and not as professional as those at other hotels, speaking with street slang and having personal phone calls and personal visitors at the desk. 2 the airconditioner in my room had either cob webs or spider webs around both sides of it. 3 my last night there the fire alarm started shortly after midnight so I got up and went to the front desk and asked if everything was okay and the young lady at the desk said "I'm okay" "I am just trying to find out how to turn it off" not long after that 2 firetrucks and an ambulance arrived and the firemen spent a long time in the halls and stairwells talking and having their radios turned up loud. Almost an hour went by before the alarm was turned off. No appology or explanation was given by the hotel the following morning.

3rd time staying there. The handicap room we were given was not suitable for us. It also had roaches. Told this to manager and he promise to make it better the next time we return. The coffee pot was always dry and cold. When reported the receptonist would correct the problem.
