Great location in Akrotiri, this property is equipped with a swimming pool. The room was very spacious and clean with a nice terrace overlooking the Caldera. The staff is super and very helpful to suggest the best option to enjoy the Island.

Had a fabulous and memorable time at my stay. Adonis and family were very friendly and accommodating. Located centrally to a cute village with great restaurants and cafe. You will feel like a local walking the streets during the day.

The property was clean, spacious, and close to restaurants, mini market, and local bus stop. The views from the property and nearby, are beautiful. The neighborhood was nice and quiet. The property owners and staff are very attentive, kind, professional and very helpful. They also offer a great breakfast to all guests!

Great hotel and service
Hotel is located in Akrotiri, a quiet village in Santorini, easy to get around by bus or car. The hosts were wonderful and made sure that we had everything we needed to make our stay perfect. Room was large which was nice for my family of 4. Would definitely stay here again when we return to Santorini.

The hotel is located in the small village Akrotiri, very quiet and calm. The main tourist attractions are a short drive away (the red beach is even a walking distance for the experienced hikers), only Oia is a bit far (40 minutes drive). The staff is very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and tidy, there's a small refrigirator which is a plus. The hotel is accesible by car (not all the village is accesible, there's one "main" road) We had a great stay. The only minor issue we encountered was occasional loss of Wi-Fi signal which didn't really have any effect on our overall exprience Highly recommended for those who seek peace and quiet over proximity to the touristic "center"

Excellent stay. No free shuttle as advertised.
We had a fabulous time at Thira's Dolphin. The host couple are very sweet and friendly. The breakfast was fabulous, and the pool was a wonderful treat. The hotel is located in an old town so you really feel like you get a culture experience. There are a few nice restaurants and a supermarket a short walk away. The area itself is quite hilly. There is a decent bus service to get to Oia which was quite affordable and easy to use (however service is more sparse in the evening after the Oia sunset). Close(ish) to the hotel is an ancient town of Akrotiri which is definitely worth a visit, and close by is one of the beaches. We walked it and were glad we did, but the hill back was horrible. Another issue was on our booking it says there is a free shuttle from the ferry port. Well this is NOT the case, and it was a very expensive taxi or shuttle instead. We did discover later that the local bus goes there too, but without the knowledge it would be difficult to navigate. Overall we absolutely loved our stay.

The family that runs this property is very keen to help the guests in any way, provided a map and bus timetable at arrival to help us get around the island as we didn’t plan to get a car. Lovely variety of breakfast options to set you up for the rest of the day. They are always smiling, welcoming warm and calm. Village shops are one minute away and Portobello restaurant was our favourite for quality and service with a smile. Even the cleaning lady at the property always said her good morning with a smile! If you want to escape the crazy prices of Thira and Oia this location is perfect. We just loved it and left a tip.

I liked the quiet location and that the entire island was easily accessible from there. Clean towels were provided daily, breakfast was plentiful and the owners were very friendly. They went beyond what was required of them and helped eliminate the stress of getting around and departure time. There was four of us and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thanks Dominica!

Great family run hotel!
We were delayed in our arrival due to a ferry strike, so I reached out to the hotel to let them know so that our full reservation would not be cancelled. Dominica was quick to reply and helped us secure a transfer from the port to the hotel. The hotel was quaint and family run. Not much of a bar, but an amazing pool with great views! The rooms were large and had a spacious shower, especially in comparison with other hotels we stayed at in Greece! After a day, we decided to rent a car so that we could explore the rest of the island and Dominica again helped us and arranged a car rental for us where they delivered the car directly to us at the hotel.

Amazing views abound in this out of the way area. This is a great place to escape the crowds of Ia. The hotel is a quick walk down to the village, which is very charming and has several great restaurants and tavernas. It’s also a fairly easy walk down a main road to Red Beach. The inkeeper was very helpful and friendly. He arranged a wonderful all day tour for us and even drove us to the bus pickup point.

This hotel is the perfect Santorini Experience. The owners are the sweetest Greek family who remind me of my own. They were so accommodating-waited for us to arrive late, helped us get transportation around the island, fed us! Even made sure we had snacks to take with us for breakfast since we were leaving very early in the morning! The room itself was beautiful white and blue room with a great view! The bed is a little uncomfortable though, that’s the only downside. Akrotiri is a quiet part of Santorini so it’s nice to relax there. I would absolutely go and stay there again!

Charming welcome from Adonis. Peaceful, relaxing hotel with lovely pool. Gorgeous view from our balcony across the caldera. Town small and quiet but all the tavernas had delicious food and wine. Easy to drive to other parts of island or cheap buses available.

GREAT location and owners
The owners of the hotel were very very nice and accommodating. they waited up to great us after we arrived late and explained the island to us. The neighborhood is fantastic. Akrotiri is less touristy (for now) than the rest of Santorini so it was nice to get away from the hustle and bustle of Thira. Also, the island is small enough that it's easy to drive from one side to the other so that's no issue. The view out of our balcony was simply gorgeous (especially at night). The pool was modern and sleek, as were the bathrooms. The only disappointment was that the bed was very hard and uncomfortable. Once they upgrade the bed it will be an almost perfect hotel.

Wonderful place
We rented a car for our stay in Santorini so staying on the other side of the island from the touristy areas was easy. We were allowed to check in early without any trouble. The views are wonderful and you get a better sense of local life in this area compared to staying in Oia or Fira. Hotel is also close to the Akrotiri ruins. The staff (assuming owners?) were very friendly and accommodating. Daily breakfast 8:30-10 included hardboiled eggs, coffee, juice, various pastries, toast, ham & cheese, etc and plentiful for sure. We didn't use the pool b/c it was chilly but the views were gorgeous. The single beds are quite hard though (we rented a room with 1 queen bed and 2 singles for 4 adults). Basic toiletries were included. I would HIGHLY recommend Thira's dolphin.

If you are looking for a quiet place to stay this is for you. Beautful views of the caldera from our balcony. Attentive staff, nice breakfast and pool. To get around had no trouble renting a car at a reasonable rate thru the hotel. Had a very nice stay here.

+: Very nice and relaxing Hotel in a quiet area in the south of the island and away from the chaos of touristic places (such as Oia of Fira). The staff/owner was great, very friendly and super helpful. The swimming pool was very nice and clean and with a great view on the cliffs. The bedroom was very large with a good double beds and a nice and clean bathroom. It is close to a small supermarket (3min walk) and several good and traditional restaurants (greek tavernas) serving local food. -: it is a bit isolated and far from any beach: it is a good 20-25min walk to go to the closest beach (by walking next to the main road, which is unsafe): you'd better hire a car (which you can find for not that expensive) or take a taxi/shuttle

A hidden gem in Akrotiri
This hotel has a great location. Far from the hustle and bustle, secluded village, close to the Red Beach, the museum of old civilization, good local restaurants, monasteries, wineries and even amazing sunset view. The room overlook some of the caldera. The hotel is very quiet, has nice parking lot, amazing clean swimming pool, family run business. Some things to note is that the room's mattresses are very thin and extremely firm for my taste. The breakfast was also so so. Coffee is not that great and it has the same menu everyday (boiled eggs, toast, yogurt, etc.) If you ignore a few negatives, this is a very good hotel for the price and if you are looking for some peace and quiet then stay here. Rent an ATV (right around the corner) and stroll thru the island. There is a castle right in front of the hotel and it's a neat place to go on your first morning. You will hear some Greek music there. For the staff: if you guys invest into good mattress and breakfast, your hotel will be just phenomenal!

The hotel is a good choice if you are looking for something out of the hussle and bussle and are not willing to spend a fortune for your Santorini stay. You get value for your money. Family hotel with great view and great location. Nice pool (for Santorini it is rather big). Bus stop nearby. Breakfast could be more inspired. The owners are very helpful when you need information or need to make bookings. Walking distance to the archeological site and Red Beach.

Magical Place
As soon as we arrived at Thira's Dolphin we were greeted by the friendly and accommodating staff, who had stayed late to settle us in despite a delayed evening flight. We were shown to our gorgeous room, with views overlooking the Caldera, and felt instantly at home. Breakfast each morning was fresh and delicious, and the pool was perfection - the ideal place to enjoy a Mythos or iced coffee while overlooking the sea! The village centre of Akrotiti was a two minute stroll down picturesque walkways, past the pretty Venetian church, and full of traditional tavernas which were great for easy dining. The location was quiet enough to feel relaxing, yet convenient enough to make exploring Santorini a breeze. We absolutely loved our stay at Thira's Dolphin and would 100% recommend it to anyone else looking for a blissful holiday on this incredible island. We miss it!

Fabulous in Akrotiri
Great hotel. What a magnificent view. Beautifully decorated and cared for. I liked where we were situated on Santorini. Pool setting and view is breathtaking. Especially greatful for the assistance provided in obtaining atv rentals, help In booking a tour to volcano, directions, etc. Special thanks for the extra effort help resolving an. issue with my shuttle car. Definitely recommend!
