Nice place but the person who makes this place is Nikos, whether calling taxis to lending books to read on holiday. :) Nikos is a legend and makes this place.

I really enjoyed a restful week at Terra Mare, particularly swimming in the large pool with amazing views of the surrounding hills. Own transport needed to explore beaches. A beautiful quiet, semi-rural location ideal for solo female travellers. Nikos the owner was very kind and attentive.

The villa was beautiful, spotless and well equipped. The pool was cleaned every day and cleaners thoroughly cleaned twice a week. We had a wonderful holiday and would definitely return. Although the villa was in a peaceful area it was still within walking distance to Lixouri. Our holiday was perfect.

Niko and his family were fantastic hosts and made our stay pleasurable. Niko knew that my wife loved figs, he had 4 waiting for her every morning. Great location, semi-rural which was a treat.

Nikos is the man! Literally, he was the most hospitable hotel manager I've ever met. Wish I could live here.

We stayed 2 weeks at the beginning of September. Terra Mare was a fantastic choice for us, yes the hotel itself was great, good facilities, 24hr pool, decent breakfast.. but what really made it for us was the host, Niicos. He is by far, the greatest host we have ever had!! The guy never stops, he reads your mind! You think you need something and before you know it he is there helping you. All day he is running here and there. He honestly made our holiday unforgettable. Yes we will miss the beaches, yes i will miss the epic roads, but most of all.. will miss Niicos. I chose this hotel due to its location and price. Its about 15 minutes drive from our favourite beach, Petani Beach which was incredibly awsome for us, as it meant we could get there early without having am hours drive!! On top of this, the hotel is about 10 minutes from Lixuri. A small port town that has excellent bars and restaurants. So.. location.. Great! Rooms were typical greek hotel rooms.. basic but more than adequate! But the hotel experience as a whole was just fantastic. Niicos should be proud of what he has accomplished. We love Terra Mare

Staff were great and made the stay most enjoyable. Had a few issues with shower and light blowing. But get what you pay for. Service was great though and really felt like another home.

We always have a wonderful time at Terra Mare Hotel. Lovely family run hotel, safe for the children and great food! Rooms are simple but very clean. A perfect place to rest and be vwery well treated. We'll be back for sure!

People are fantastic, the place is simple but clesn and beautiful. The view from my room was breath taktaking. Wasnt as quite as expected due to lots of Cicada, but its was all over Kefalonia, nothing especific about Terra Mare. Would definitely come back next year.

A Hidden Treasure
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Terra Mare. It may be getting a little 'frayed at some of the edges', but it is clean and in a beautiful quiet location and it would be difficult to do better. A car would really be a necessity here if you wanted to make the most of the area.One treasure the Terra Mare has is the irreplaceable Nicos who is there to assist with any problems or to give advice. Great holiday, thank you Nicos.

The staff at this hotel are amazing. Mr Nick can not do enough for you no matter what time of day. Does the man sleep!! Hotel is in need of an update but everything is clean. Pool well kept.

This was the only hotel on Kefalonia for our dates however we were not disappointed. Nothing was too much trouble and all the staff were friendly and very helpful. The setting was idyllic and the pool fantastic. The way the rooms were arranged meant that you are not overlooked by other guests and felt very private. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were clean. Breakfast was good with a selection of fresh fruits, yoghurt, cold meats, cheese and hot eggs and sausages. The cakes and bread were delicious too.

The room was spacious and cozy. The staff is very friendly and the breakfast is good. There's plenty of parking spaces, a big swimming pool and lots of trees. The wifi signal needs improvement and the bathroom could be better. Overall, a very positive experience!

We stayed for 2 days and everything was excellent. For 2 stars hotel everything is clean and we were surprised that breakfast was in the price as well.

We booked the hotel last minute and didn’t really do any research into it. The hotel is a little isolated and really you could do with hiring a car. The owner, Nicos and the rest of the staff a really friendly and nothing seems too much trouble. Upon arrival our room wasn’t quite ready but Nicos took our cases to the room and served us a round of drinks and refused to take any payment for them. Some of the hotel looks a little dated but is clean. As long as you are not expecting something four star then I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised. The pool area is spacious and there is not a fight for sun loungers. The pool itself is large and clean. Our kids loved it. Would we return again? Yes, definitely but we would hire a car.

A lovely hotel, the staff are friendly and can't do enough for you. Definitely make time for drinks at the bar with Niko (the owner), just don't make plans for the next day.

What a gem!
Nikos and his family go above and beyond to guarantee a wonderful warm welcoming stay. I am well travelled, and the service here is second to none. Beautiful home grown ingredients, fab cooking, wonderful local wine. The best!! I have booked to return again this year, home from home Kefalonia!

Antiquated facilities for cheap accomodation only
The first impression is of the hotel grounds which has a lot of potential. It is structured as several independent buildings with 5-10 rooms each. It has a separate swimming pool along the main reception/restaurant/bar building. The room that was available on Expedia was one of the few available on the Island for the relevant dates (Family Room). There was a mixup because we expressed an interest in sea view and the owner gave us a double room with a sea view but with a lesser value than the initial Family Room. The owner expressed his apologies for the mixup and tried to explain the reason behind it but the initially booked room was already given away.

Amazing grounds, beautiful views of gardens, water and mountains. Very attentive staff comprised of Nico, his wife Savo and 2 daughters. I had a wonderful time at Terra Mare. The quality of the food and drinks is outstanding!

La struttura è forse un po’ datata ma la cortesia, la disponibilità, la colazione e l’accoglienza sono ineccepibile… Da cinque stelle… Ritorneremo. Nikos was a fantastic host! He went out of his way to help and we’ve never felt more welcome in a hotel anywhere in our travels!!

Lugar bem tranquilo e agradável. A área externa é super boa, com árvores, varanda e uma piscina grande, e possivel passa um dia agradável no local. Atendimento Excelente do anfitrião. O local em geral é bem bom. A limpeza é ótima no geral, porem achei a colcha um pouco encardida. Poderiam colocar um suporte para a ducha no banheiro (sugestão)

Full immersion between sea and olive tree. A quite place with a large swimming pool, breakfast is ok with yogurt, fruit, bread, honey, sausage and other same things. The rooms are old but with air conditionair. Staff are friendly. During our week holiday they changed a towels and clean a room every day.
