Creta Vitalis is a nice, clean hotel with big spacious rooms. Its located close to the beach, has a nice pool and is about 25 minute drive to downtown Chania.

Short Stay!
Great location, quick walk to the beach. We had a great view from our room! Breakfast was great, although not complimentary. Staff was so friendly! Not so great things: we were in the main building which is not sound proof at all. To the point where we could hear the person in the room next to us turning their lights on and off. It just so happened to be their little one who clicked it on and off over and over and over again at 6am. The bathroom was a bit different. The shower had no door/curtain and there was a drain in the middle of the bathroom for the shower water. The bathroom was also riddled with mold.

Beautiful hotel, limited location without a car.
We stayed for two weeks in a beautiful part of the island, not particularly geared for tourist as there were only two places to eat within walking distance of the hotel with children. There were other towns about 30 minutes walk, one not particularly safe walking but the owner of the hotel knows the taverna owner and they came and collected us but were too busy to return us so we walked home in the dark, not too bad as we didn't have the kids. The town the other way is a better walk, but still a 3 mile round trip, with a Taverna called BOURAKIS RESTAURANT, with beautiful food. We hired a car and this enabled us to get to explore further afield. I had read reviews about the friendly nature of the owners and the staff at the hotel, sadly we did not experience this, helpful but not usual Greek friendly. The pool was beautiful, but no pool bar or snacks/drinks available to buy, as advertised, however there is a shop in walking distances and the small fridge in the room, meant cold drinks could be available throughout the day. Hotel was very clean and finished to a high standard. Chania is only 30 minutes away and well worth a visit.

Creta Vitalis Family Holiday
We had a lovely time in Crete exploring the surrounding area, beaches and the harbour city of Chania. The hotel staff were excellent, friendly and very welcoming. The downside was that our bungalow balcony was next to a busy through road and the fridge located in the room we slept in was very noisy. The swimming pool was great and the hotel was convenient to get to local shops and the beach!

Beautiful location
Very friendly, helpful owners and very generous. Breakfast was delicious. We shared a night cap of Raki with a nice young gentleman who works there. On our last day the owners allowed us into a room to shower after we checked out and spent the day at the beach.

Owners/staff very helpful and pleasant went out of their way to help. Property very clean with fresh bedding and towels daily. Lovely pleasant pool area plus easy walk to a very nice beach. Bus into Chania 5 minute walk from hotel and 2 local mini markets. I would recommend this hotel and would use again if I go back to Crete, had a great stay there.

Lovely place, Highly recommended!
Lovely traditional family hotel, we felt welcomed from the start and the owners are down to earth, kind and caring people. We didn't have beach towels and they gave us 2 :) Me and my boyfriend had a lovely 3 nights' time there. They have a nice pool facing the sea. Our room was sea view and really comfortable. Had a TV, air conditioning, wardrobes, a desk and a nice clean bathroom! Really pleased with the room. Breakfast was lovely and tasty! Khalatas Beach is really close and I really recommend to go there. Also, if you have a car, have a go at Stavros beach too :) They have a delivery option for food - try Taverna Irene, either takeaway or go there, they are the owners' family and they have the best greek food! Also give a try at Sunset Restaurant too :) lovely food and service.

The property is beautiful, and well kept. There are flowers everywhere, great for back drops for pictures. There is a fast walk to the beach, which is AMAZING. As we did visit other more known beaches, we stayed close to ours due to the fast walk, and nice clam waters.

Great place for families particularly if you have a car. Great breakfast included in the price. Drawback is the main road outside which is very busy and dangerous to walk down to the nearest beach. You need a car to get to the beautiful beaches in the area The buses only run every 2 hours and are often late

Comfortable, pleasant night
Stayed one night after a late flight in. The hotel was clean and the staff/owner was polite, helpful and hospitable. The lobby is charming, the rooms clean and an adequate breakfast. The wifi existed but was not great at all so I just gave up with it. The pool with the view to the sea, while I didn't use it, looked inviting and clean. Appeared to be plenty of parking. There are not a lot of places to eat if you are on foot, but you can manage. I would stay again for an overnight, but not for my entire holiday.

We loved the clean fresh apartment with its sea view terrace. We loved the beach being just a short walk with a great beach restaurant too - not too posh or fussy- serving lovely authentic food. We loved the convenient inexpensive short bus journeys to Chania and the gorgeous Stavros beach. Missed the buzz of a poolside bar at the hotel, but pool nice, and plenty of other things going on nearby. Irene’s Taverna a must -( just 1km away with free driver service there and back) Value for money.

Older traditional hotel, not a modern shiny one
On arrival we were a little disappointed as the photos on Expedia do not reflect the current state of the hotel. However, the staff are so lovely, the breakfast room & food delightful & as our week went by this lovely little hotel really grew on us. Shame that our balcony overlooked the rear of the car park & that the pool is not the view you get from the rooms but overall, our stay was lovely & if you want helpful friendly staff in a traditional hotel, you will be very happy here.

I am sorry for not having this ready during your stay but it did not depend on us. Now, the problem of the Wi fi is finally fixed.

The room was beautiful with a beautiful view. The shower was a bit small and there was no real way to keep water from getting all over the floor, but other than that it was a great room. Watching the sunrise was a sight to behold.

I stayed late in the season, travelling alone & the owners waited specially until I left before they closed for the year. I can't praise them highly enough. I was a late booking with all the complications of my disabilities, (I can't walk far & sometimes use a wheelchair) - they couldn't have been more accommodating. Although there was often 'lost in translation' moments, as often there are in these cases, they ensured I was as comfortable as possible & upgraded me to better accommodation as soon as I arrived, bringing me a wonderful breakfast, as I'd arrived on a very early flight & needed to have something due to my diabetes. Everyone, without exception was so very, very kind & helpful & I have made a good & lovely friend of the housekeeper, Julia, who, is SO nice! I would really love to go back if my health improves, as they have a lovely swimming pool overlooking the sea, which I'd LOVE to be able to use! I was given beautiful bungalow accommodation, which I could (mostly) use my wheelchair in - such a relief! Thank you SO much - Stella, Nikolaos, Pavlos, Katerina & my friend, Julia! I hope I see you again soon!

Nice surprise
Crete was by far our favorite place in Greece (we also stayed in Athens and Santorini). The hotel has a villa/family home feeling and we loved. We missed the breakfast because at 10am there was not much left and on our second day we left super early. Friendly kittens were "all over" the parking lot and if you are a cat lover, enjoy! Beautiful ocean view. Hope to continue me back.

Nice hotel ,great time there for us!
We stay there for 3 nights. The staff and the owners are very helpful and they are really good people. We ask for several things and they gave us everything (late check out, extra towels, map of the area e.t.c). Whatever you need don't hesitate to ask,they are willing to help. There is free parking. The wifi is decent. The city centre is almost 15 min by car. There are some good restaurants near also. The beach is clean and kind of quiet(couples e.t.c)and it is around 5 min walking distance . The hotel has some rooms and some bangalows, we stayed in a room . It was clean, spacious but it was with 2 single beds and the staff was cleaning the room every day. It's not a new hotel but for this price it's a very good choice. Also the bathroom is renovated and really nice.The room had a nice balcony where you can enjoy the view.

Nice hotel, peaceful beachside location
Hotel was ok room wise and staff were friendly although Communicating was a little difficult at times. Pool looked nice but we didn't get a chance to use it as there are not enough deck chairs available for amount of guests and never one available every time we went down so spent all our time at the local beach which is just a short walk away. Beach was beautiful. Buses were a little difficult to go into main town, If you missed one, it was 1-2 hours to the next one but that is not an issue with the hotel itself really.

This location is close to the airport which is why we chose it. The rooms were more along the lines of a two star hotel. Not a lot of frills. It is in a residential area so plan on driving to find food. We were supposed to have a sea view, and you had to lien pretty far off our balcony to get a view. The loungers by the pool for plastic and did not have the ability to be raised up or down. It just looked like a property that could use a renovation.

I am afraid your comments contain many inaccuracies which mislead potential guests of our property.. The hotel is a 3 star plus hotel, 80% renovated gradually in the last three years.The area is residential as also described in our site featuring 2 restaurants and 2 mini markets at walking distance. At 2 kms from the hotel you have more dining options.The pool sunloungers have a matress on top and all guests are happy with the confort offered. If you booked a sea view room, you would be allocated in a sea view room. However, I am afraid you booked a mountain view and wanted a sea view room, which might have been unavailable to upgrade you if you wished due to peak season.

We booked to this hotel because as i saw from the site the reviews and the photos from the rooms to look very good and new.when we went over there the room it was completely different from the photos and all of this because they have two the different buildings one new and one very old.the photos from the site were from the new building and not from the old.the bathroom was very small, the mattresses very hard and old to sleep,the fridge to noisy and the swimming pool was around the wall and outside in some places rusty....i was very disappointed to booked over there.DONT GO TO THIS HOTEL.

Friendly family run hotel
Was a really nice place to stay with very helpful staff and very nice area to stay. Local beach was very nice and local bars and restaurants where outstanding. Would recommend a stay here. You need to have a car to travel around but there is a bus that runs in day time to various locations.

Flot pool område
Fint hotel men fly trafik og F16 fly morgen og aften hen over området . Fantastisk pool område .. godt restauranter i nærheden men bil er nødvendig . Okay morgenmad . God udsigt over havet

Super godt sted at bo på en ferie. Super lækkert med pool, morgenmadsbuffet og mulighed for både at låne håndklæder og parasol til strandturen. Jeg vil anbefale at have lejet bil hvis dette skal være ferieboligen.

Ευχαριστη διαμονη κοντα σε Χανια και παραλίες
Όμορφο, περιποιημένο και καθαρό κατάλυμα με φιλικό και φιλοξενο προσωπικό. Καλη τοποθεσία κοντα στα Χανια και σε καλές παραλιες. Γευστικο πρωινο με ποικιλία και πολυ καλό wifi.
