Our stay at Azade Chania is beyond amazing. The hotel was built between 1600 - 1700 with a lot of history. Since it's newly renovated, the design is traditional with a modern touch. The rooms are super clean and spotless. We love the location of the hotel although it require few minutes walk from parking area, as located in one of the most beautiful lanes in the old town. It's an experience walking in and out every time. The staffs are very helpful and always there when needed. The breakfast are very well prepared with traditional set dishes and personalized cooked dishes to mix and match. It gives full satisfaction and energy for the day to explore city or enjoy the beach and sea. Highly recommend and definitely in my list of going back hotels.

This is the most fabulous hotel. Rebuilt from two 16th century properties, it is now an absolute delight to stay in. The staff were - without exception - friendly and helpful. The manager could not do enough for you. The breakfasts were superb, and our room had every convenience you could wish for. The location (in the heart of the old town) is stunning, and there is no shortage of restaurants nearby. This was one of our most enjoyable holidays ever, and we have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to others.

My partner and I had such a lovely stay at the AZADE. Everything was perfect, the grounds of the hotel were beautiful, the breakfast was excellent, and our room was so comfortable. We love how conveniently located the hotel was, only steps away from the Venetian Harbor and all the shops we wanted to visit. We would love to visit again, and will recommend the AZADE to all our friends visiting Chania. We also want to thank the hotel staff for being so kind and accommodating, and giving us fantastic recommendations for Chania and Crete. We were very well taken care of, in all aspects.

I stayed at the Azade on Sept 8-23 As a Greek Canadian I must tell you that this hotel far exceeded my expectations. The staff was simply the BEST hotel staff I have ever encountered. Let’s begin with Artemis who greeted us with a smile from the moment of check in to the day we left. She offered her suggestions on where to dine and what to do as a local and not a tourist. All of her suggestions were spot on and we enjoyed every place she sent us to. Then there was Maria who also worked the front desk. Her cheerful attitude was so welcoming. The kitchen staff was equally incredibly attentive. Once we had ordered our first breakfast, our coffee for the next day was already on the table! They accommodated every wish we had. From giving us extra Cretan cookies for our evening coffee on the rooftop to preparing a to go freshly squeezed orange juice for the road. To say they were the perfect 10 would be putting it lightly. Eva was our server most mornings and she served us as if we were family. I want to take a extra moment to say that the head of housekeeping, Eleni personally treated us as if we were her family. She made sure to leave extra coffee, tea, milk and towels to make our stay as comfortable as possible. I honestly felt as though I was visiting family. I can’t recommend this hotel enough. To me, everyone has become a friend. I will be returning to the Azade as I would never book a stay anywhere else in the Old Harbour again. Thank you guys for a memorable stay! ♥️

One of the best hotels I have stayed at in my life. Perfect location, right in the city center, but it felt like its own world. Impeccable design, and some of the most helpful and attentive staff I have ever met. Cannot recommend highly enough.

The property is very nice and the staff fine but we booked the grand suite for a fairly expensive rate which has a king bed and a queen bed in another room and the hotel emailed me when I confirmed the room had two beds and told me we had to pay additional. This was nowhere in any literature from Expedia or on the hotels website that it would cost more for 4 people. It was over $100/day - I understand if they want to charge us for the breakfast for extra people, but I’d want to option to eat there or not. We could have eaten a great brunch elsewhere for all of us for the price of one person. It wasn’t worth the final price at all.

We hope you enjoyed your stay with us, but I want to clarify some of the complains you wrote on your review. Regarding the additional charge for the extra person (50 per person per night) this is something we informed you in advance and in writing prior to your arrival, on June 18th when you send us the information that you will be 4 persons instead of 2 we had on your initial reservation. After your question for what the additional amount stands for, we again informed you that this has to do with the breakfast, the amenities, and extra costs in all services, such as housekeeping, laundry etc. When you book a room either via Expedia, direct or any other channel you need to clarify the number of persons staying in the property. For example, if you book through Expedia for 3 nights in August for 2 persons the cost for the room you have booked is specific and if you book for the same room, same nights for 4 persons the price is 300.00 more. You can check it online. Also, to show you our good will when you asked us to reduce your accommodation for 1 night, the night before your arrival, despite the fact you have booked Prepay and Save rate, where no modification or cancellation is allowed without penalty of the full amount, we accept your request without hesitation and without a charge!Our primary concern is all our guest to enjoy their stay with us and their vacation and this is our goal.Warmest regards,Xanthos ChristodoulouHotel ManagerAzade Chania

Azade Hotel is gorgeous, with beautiful sea views, modern and soothing decor, yet inclusive of its history. The staff are fabulous, the food was wonderful, and the welcome was one of the best parts of our trip. We will definitely go back, and recommend it highly.

Absolutely amazing boutique hotel on the middle of Old Town Chania. Walk out of the main entrance into a quaint alley way with boutique shops and lovely restaurants and cafes. The architecture and design furnishings are absolutely stunning. Old world modern and very chic. I did not want to leave. Hospitality of employees was very professional, inviting and very personable. Food was great for breakfast. Was the best night sleep my husband and I had on our whole trip. Ceiling fan in our room was extra special since we live with ceiling fans in our home. Bath products awesome also. Highly recommend for a quiet luxurious stay in the middle of Chania.

This is a beautiful boutique hotel, with great history, perfect location beautiful rooms, the staff is friendly, helpful and the service is second to none. The breakfast was also delicious. This was a perfect place to stay, I only wish for longer. I highly recommend staying here. Parking is a challenge, but that would be for anyone staying anywhere in the old town

Chic and gloriously relaxing
This is an incredible hotel, chic, minimal and true to the traditional Cretan style influenced by the Venetians. The welcoming traditional treats were a special touch and the staff was very friendly and gracious to accommodate. My only regret was not being able to stay longer.

The property was absolutely beautiful and impeccably clean. The location is also perfect right inside old town and a block from the water. The staff are welcoming and professional. This was one of my best hotel stays in my memory.

Loved our stay at AZADE Chania. The room was beautiful - especially nice to sit out on the balcony for a morning coffee and look out onto the harbour. The staff were excellent - very helpful and attentive. We were very sad to leave. One more about the parking - there is free parking at the waterfront (a short walk away), but this is definitely not at the property - don't try and drive to the hotel address, you'll end up in some very narrow streets and probably get stuck >_<

The front desk staff was warm and welcoming. The rooms are beautiful and clean. We stayed at the terrace floor larger suite. Breakfast was made to order. Great value for money.

Property was the most beautiful place we have ever stayed! The staff was so friendly, it was like we were staying with friends! They went out of their way to help us. Parking was a bit of a pain but the staff helped us to find suitable parking. Hotel was in a good location to walk around the town. The only thing we could of used was a pool.

We could not have enjoyed our stay at Azade and Crete more. The location in old town is so convenient and close to all shops, restaurants and beaches. Staff were attentive, welcoming and knowledgeable. They even prepared us a breakfast to pick up when we had an early morning tour to Samaria Gorge. Rooms were clean and beautifully decorated. We loved our stay.

We had the BEST experience there. The hotel had just opened: it is an absolute gem. Three historical mansions joined together, built by Venetians centuries ago, in a perfect location (on top of an "instagrammable" street with romantic stairs. The rooms are extremely tasteful, there has been absolute attention to details, the work of an amazing architect. Our suite was all cream, with marble and ancient details and structural elements integrated in it, from ages ago. We had our own personal terrasse, with lounge chairs and our own outside shower. Everything was perfect, it looked like an art gallery, with sculptures and paintings everywhere. Looked so much like a gallery that tourists kept walking it to look at it. It has an inside courtyard that is absolutely gorgeous, where you can have breakfast in the morning. The staff is positively happy to be there, all smiles, and helpful. Eva serving breakfast is a pearl, and the cook (Maria) is as joyful as her meals. (see pictures). It made our stay In Chania luxurious, peaceful and delicious. Would go back in a heartbeat.

Prefect hotel. Room was clean and spacious. Staff are nice and helpful. Breakfast with various choices. Chated with different staff that 9 rooms are different in style. Love to stay in this hotel. Highly recommended!
