Easy to find and in a lovely village not far from Loch Lomond, but this hotel is clearly in dire need of an update. The room seemed clean enough, but we didn't have much a a view out the window - a dirty roof occupied by several birds intent on fighting at every opportunity!
Bed was comfortable, bathroom was adequate, but the shower was not great.
We were rudely awaken at 2:30am by the fire alarm going off, which lasted a few seconds, and the same thing happened at 7am. Didn't get an apology or an explanation when we checked out.
The bar area was very good despite being so dated, but it was a comfortable place to have a nightcap or two.
Drymen village was very nice, pleasant people and an enjoyable meal at the Drymen Inn.
Overall, it was a shame the hotel didn't match the surrounding area, and my ears are still ringing from the fire alarm issues!
