Terrible

Posted 01-Jul-2015
Don't go here. I asked for a refund, didn't get one. The room was dirty - top to bottom. I've never seen such a dirty room. 214. I stayed somewhere else.

Old motel

Posted 27-Jun-2015
Walked in and the pillows were so old they were flat. Bought my own! Bed was either old or cheap and very uncomfortable. Killed 4 bugs in the bathroom & a baby tarantula by the bed. Next morning found more in the bathroom. In all pretty bad.

Good place to stay close to train

Posted 17-Jun-2015
Pros: The space and shower were great
Cons: The chemical smell from cleaning was unpleasant
Location: There was so much to see the canyon Sedona the observatory I could have stayed longer
I visited the Grand Canyon using this hotel as a home base because of laundry unfortunately the laundry was upstairs and without an elevator so I was unable to use it.

Nice room but noisy water heater pipes.

Posted 15-Jun-2015
Pros: Staff was nice.
Cons: Fix the water heater pipes.
Location: Location fine, restaurants nearby.
Everything was fine except every 30 minutes the water heater pipes in the service room next to us made very loud knocking noises that lasted for about one to two minutes. This quit at 11 pm

The clerk at the front counter was rude and the breakfast was a joke.

Ok to just crash for a night

Posted 10-Jun-2015
So so place. Not dirty but not great. Owners were sort of rude. I got in at 1 AM after calling in ahead to let them know I would be arrive late. But the lady gave me attitude. Also charged me $25 a night for my dog as oppose to the $20 that's listed on Expedia. I paid because I didn't read ahead and assumed she was charging me accurately. Only noticed after I left and it's too much hassle to fight over $10. Stay if you just want to crash for a night or two. But don't expect anything special.

Won't stay again.

Posted 26-May-2015
Pros: Morning staff was very friendly and inviting. The bed was very comfortable and the room amenities made for a comfortable stay.
Cons: Breakfast could have more options such as bagels and cream cheese, yogurt, more fruit options etc.
Location: Located in a convenient part of town. 5 min. drive to downtown, bowling, restaurants, etc. Right around the corner I ate at a stellar food truck. :)
Although this hotel has a number of nice accommodations (king size bed, refrigerator, microwave, etc.), there are a number of things that influenced me to decide to not stay there again. Firstly, the agreement that you sign when you arrive states that there are no guests allowed at any time (kinda weird), then you are encouraged to eat your breakfast in the lobby and to not bring food back to your room (also kinda weird). The largest issue I had, however, was the thinness of the walls. I could hear the conversations of the people in the room next to me, which, at times, were loaded with profanity (I'm not one to be offended by profanity, but it was pretty bad!) The breakfast left more to be desired. On the plus side, the man who works at the front desk in the morning is super friendly, and the bed was really comfy. Ended up staying in Flagstaff for an extra night and chose to switch hotels. For the same price, you can stay in the same part of town at a nicer place. Definitely wouldn't recommend for families.

Misadventures in Flagstaff

Posted 20-May-2015
Noise! Noise! Noise! Trains ran all night across the street from motel. I thought it would be neat to stay in a motel on Route 66.I would not stay at this motel again!!!

Not bad for a motel.

Posted 20-May-2015
The room was clean overall, clean sheets, did not smell and a comfy bed. The bathroom could be cleaner. The room we stayed in was in a corner no other rooms next to it but there was a constant noise throughout the day and night. The motel is about an hour away from the Grand Canyon. Would stay here again for the price and seems like they allow pets but an extra charge for them according to their weight.
