Decent hotel in walking distance of central Gothenburg. A little dated but relatively well cleaned and staff are friendly. Breakfast is also good and included. Hotel is what you expect for the low price.

When the info (also at the door entrance) says the reception should be manned, and it isn´t... And I had to be in a telephone que to check, as I was standing outside the door, it didn´t make me happy. Next morning unfriendly staff at breakfast, and still nobody at the reception, then I can´t say it was a happy stay.

The 'hotel' is certainly a different experience, near to the city centre and is great to look at from the outside. The included breakfast was also good for the price. BUT it is not like a hotel, as there was little or no reception or room service (eg although reception was advertised as being open from 7am -9pm it was closed almost all the time of my 3 day stay- even when I went to check out at 11 am on my last morning. The only time I found someone there - at 1 p.m. on the 2nd day - to ask for help with my TV which I couldn't get to work - she indicated she was busy and asked for my room number (which was only a few doors down from reception). I waited c3 hours: no-one came and she has left when I then went to find out what was happening! No-one came to the room to fix or service it in the whole of my stay. The room/cabin was also very stuffy with no means of controlling the temperature/air flow. Out of hours check-in/access was also unnecessarily complicated.

We arrived early (c.9:45a);for an extra 150SEK, we could check into our room. Parking: the closest parking is in what looks like an auto ferry right next to the ship. You need to go to the top floor mid-‘deck’ to pay for your parking. You’ll provide the time you’re commencing as well as your est'd departure & pay accordingly. Our room was spacious, we had a corner w/ private bath; bkfast was very good; wi-fi was good; room was quiet. However, the reason for that quiet is more likely due to the fact we were either the only or one of VERY few people on board. Read on…… There were a sizeable number of amenities mentioned not just on the hotel promotional material but also repeated in the confirmation we received the day earlier that were NOT available. Specifically: • 2 bars/lounges: there is 1 bar in the bkfast area & 1 on the upper deck. Neither were open. • Restaurant: open only for breakfast; then closed. • Laundry facilities, hair dryer, snack bar/deli, water dispenser: I have no idea where these things were located. (& we roamed over the entire boat) • Multi-lingual staff: ‘yes’ as long as you have a translation application available to use. We walked over the ENTIRE BOAT and never saw a soul (not even the front desk that was apparently to be staffed 7a-9p). We did see 2 rooms in the 100-103 area where doors were open (see pics). Not an entirely disappointing stay: we just don't like expectations set and thoroughly broken.

Delightful two night stay
Iconic place to stay and convenient for restaurants, trains and buses. Mildly challenging checking in until one spots the message and the phone - easy enough after that. Breakfast was excellent in quantity, quality and somewhere not afraid to make strong coffee.

It's an anchored boat hotel, recommended just for the experience. You have to walk a little to reach the hotel. Close to downtown a bit far from the trendy Haga neighborhood. Remote check in if you arrive after 4pm. Rooms are old but very, very cozy.

Lacks atmosphere but good for a novelty stay!
The hotel is a great concept that is poorly executed. There is no human contact on arrival (or at all with any worker) it is a check in on the phone which takes far too long. We arrived late back on our night staying and had to call many times to be let it as they locked the doors and our keys wouldn’t work. Overall the place lacked atmosphere BUT for the novelty it was still worth staying, the room was bigger than expected and shower very good. The place seemed clean and is in a good location.

You do not want to stay here. It might seem exotic to stay on an old ship, but it is a joke. I arrived at 8 pm and it was raining. The door was locked. No instructions had been sent to me about self check in and there was a number posted on the door. No answer! 30 minutes in the cold rain and a guest came and opened. Inside I found a number and called. They then gave me instructions to open a safety box and gave me the code. In there was the keycard. No apology whatsoever, but just saying that the person who was supposed to work got sick. The wifi is terrible. I had two work related video conferences scheduled that I could not participate in. The breakfast is disgusting. Stale bread, cold eggs, cold bacon and sausage. It was the worst hotel breakfast I've had. They did not clean the room. The place is a dump. You want to stay away. I told them about my check in experience....nobody even tried to apologize. This hotel is a disgrace for the hotel service industry.

Stay on a sailing ship!
You can stay somewhere a little bit - well a lot bit - different by staying on a former cargo/training ship. It's 5 minutes from Central Station (but then Gothenburg is compact and you can walk or tram to most places). Rooms are roomy and quiet. (Note - some are ensuite, some not.) Breakfast included. (Self service - it's OK) Reception closes early evening and at the moment, the restaurant/bar is being "refitted". But for the price, well worth trying.

Das Deck war leider geschlossen, in den öffentlichen Aufenthaltsbereichen war es zugig und die Sessel waren fleckig. Für zwei bis drei Übernachtungen in Ordnung für einen längeren Aufenthalt fehlen die Möglichkeiten sich dort außerhalb des Zimmers wohl zu fühlen. Das Frühstück war gut aber es gab keine normale Milch. Für Allergiker viel Auswahl (Soja und Laktosefreie Milch). Das Personal war sehr freundlich und immer hilfsbereit.

Hej, First you booked a room with out shower in the room and I change to normal room with out paying nothing extra, with the cleaning everytime our cleaners came to clean the room you told to them we dont need ad your husband came to reception that they need cleaning, for the breakfast we have normal milk as well I don`t know why was so hard to find it. Alright for the price
Cool to stay on a ship, unique atmosphere. Reception had closed earlier than advertised but fortunately check in by phone worked fine. Room, and especially bathroom quite dated, some stains on the wall etc. A couple of small impractical things like there was a kettle to make coffee /tea in the room, but it was not near a power outlet so I had to take it to the bedside table to use it. Good breakfast.

Good place not so good service
We had to pay for a room that was already paired for. And they had no idea how to sort it u til the next day when the manager came. Room had litter but otherwise it was clean and comfortable. Staff needs some training since they forgot to give us the door code and tell us it locked a certain time. Reception was supposed to be open until 9pm but closed at 2 pm so a lot of people couldn’t even check in. It says at the hotel they had a park that you could pay 150 svkr a day but they didn’t. Closest parking was 239 svkr a day. Location is perfect and breakfast was really nice. In all a good place but they really need to step up on the service.

Not worth the price
Very poor customer service, and not worth the price. Since i arrived the sink in the bathroom was blocked, i went to the front desk to inform them, but no one was there, I called their number and no one answers. I stayed during November and the room was cold, there was air flowing through the windows. Overall not worth the price.

Old dated, room floor super dirty. WE got to the hotel 50min before checking and they were not able to accommodate and/or manage de situation. The smell is very weird, probably to hide the mold of common areas. Room tv was not working and the alternative they have offered was to go watch tv from the restaurant area. Overall we unfortunately had a very bad experience.
