This is totally me of the best experiences I’ve had in Brazil - and I’ve visited Brazil for over 20 years. And, to my pleasant surprise, I was given a complimentary upgrade to an amazing room. Wow - thank you. And their breakfast is phenomenal, especially since I really love pamonha (sweet or salty).

Great modern hotel in a good location
Stayed here many times, really great hotel. Service is great, rooms are always clean, good breakfast, nothing to complain about. Close to two parks which are great for going for a run.

This is an old hotel and it can clearly do with some upgrades. But that does not take away from the charm of this lovely facility. The corridors are ample and very spacious eliminating the sense of claustrophobia in various newer hotel constructions. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. The staff was most helpful, bringing in an iron board and a tea maker at 11 pm in the night. Good breakfast. Great location in quiet and safe neighborhood.

Spacious rooms and friendly staff!
This hotel was absolutely amazing! I will start with the staff: they were friendly, attentive to my needs, and gave me great directions/suggestions for things to do in the area. The bartender was nice, and the front desk lent me an iron to iron my clothes. The rooms were really spacious and I was given a choice of floor. I loved the view from my room and even from the space right outside the elevator. The shower was spacious too and quite incredible. Highly recommend this hotel for all. A few nitpicky areas of improvement would be to include ironing board + iron in all rooms, have more towels for guests, and more TV channels. The area the hotel is in is great, but lacks a lot of restaurants. Also be aware the hotel does not have a pool.

All around great experience
Great food from room service, comfortable rooms, modern gym with excellent sauna, close to banks, restaurants, drugstores and supermarkets. Add to that truly Exceptional service from very Friendly staff, including: Mauricio great manager, Dalila in restaurant, Pedro, Marianna and Edinalde at bar, Laudienne, Raquel Cristina at front desk. About $10 ride from airport and good choice for business or romance. Wifi could be faster But that holds true everywhere, in Brasil. Feels like a family at Mercure. Will return for sure!

Exceptional service at the Mercure Goiania
I had not been to Goiania before or stayed at the Mercure chain of hotels. When I arrived at reception i was faced with a rather difficult and embarrassing situation with the room booking that left me with a very uncomfortable feeling of lack of professional service and miscommunication between Expedia and the hotel itself. The hotel staff were more than helpful in trying to resolve my issues and concerns however every tme i tried to ring Expedia i was cut off or put through to a different person every time and had to explain my situation all over again. This was very annoying and time consuming. The staff at the Mercure had tried every thing in their power to resolve this with Expedia but with no success. The hotel manager then told me that he would personally resolve this issue and had made the rest of my stay absolutely incredible and stress free.

Overall, just a very pleasant experience. Nice staff, nice breakfast, large room with a great bed. Bathroom was very spacious too. I would definitely stay here again. I barely used wifi, so I can't recall if it was good but the fact that I can't remember probably means it was decent.

Generally speaking Mercure Hotels are a great chain to stay in! I think I just got some really bad luck; the bathroom was clean but the walls in the shower needed some extra attention; the door had to be kicked open by their maintenance crew outside at 8am - hope our neighbors weren't disturbed. Breakfast was great!

Really nice hotel and very good big rooms, The hotel also saved my life in terms of organising a last minute breakfast conference and it was 100% perfect. Didn't have breakfast, I did take a sandwich at the bar and it was OK. Good location, easy to pick up taxis.

The Hotel is really good, although my room shower wasn't mixing cold and hot water accordingly. A downside point is the overall services costs, that I found really expensive, like: laundry (R$20,00 for one shirt), breakfest (R$28,00 per person, per day), parking (R$15,00 per day).

Hotel was very easy to find, well accessible. On check in staff did not speak English and conversation was redirected to my Portuguese speaking partner without making me aware. This hotel is being presented as 4 * or 5*, English should be must for all hotel staff. As a foreign national I unfortunately did not feel welcomed in this hotel. Initially I have approached reservations directly and reservation staff tried to quote much higher rate then official rate. This subject was raised by myself however no reply was ever obtained therefore I assume customer service and satisfaction is not priority at this hotel. It is highly recommended to book stay via Expedia to secure best possible rate. Hotel was however very clean on arrival, room reasonably spacious with modern design and nice comfortable feeling, parking facilities are also available at this hotel at additional cost however very worth using. For some reason our room did not get cleaned on 2nd night while leaving for 2 hours for breakfast and left sign on the door to alert that room can be cleaned. this was not advised on check out to reception staff as I did not consider this as a big issue since staying only for 2 nights. As Goiania has limited choice of hotels within similar category I would choose this hotel again for my future stay.

Beware of hidden charges
Despite a prepaid booking, the hotel managed to find ways to add on additional charges at the time of checkout. They also provided no notice that the breakfast is not complimentary (i.e., no up front notification of breakfast charges), and I was quite shocked to find that I was forced to pay r$25 per day (per person) for breakfast. Had I known about this cost up front, I would have skipped breakfast at the hotel. Also the location of the hotel is in Setor Oeste, and not too close to the best parts of Goiania (which are mostly in Setor Marista). The neighborhood around the hotel is also quite desolate and can be sketchy in the evenings. The gym equipment is in pretty poor condition - needs some maintenance work. There is no pool at the hotel.

Very enjoyable. Comfortable bed with nice linens. Attentive staff. We did not get breakfast--unusual in Brazil. They have a higher rate for breakfast-- and having not paid the higher rate--breakfast cost, for the two if us, 25 USD. Always had someone speaking English at the front desk.
