“Great hotel, great location!”

Hotel rooms are very pleasant and clean. Hotel itself is nicely designed and is well located next to the water front. You can't bathe in the estuary here, but the pool is very good and overlooks the sea. Nice pool bar too!

Area recommendations

Definitely recommend trip to the spice plantation; it's fascinating. Have a meal at the Sea Pebble; Good food and great value set outside on the sea front (don't forget your Deet though!).

“Hotel needs upgrading to 5* status. Yes I would like to go back.”

This hotel is located on the beach and has an excellent view of sunset.Also transportation into Penjim town is frequent and easy. Staff are very well traind and bend backwards to help. Ideal family holiday hotel.

Traveller's tip

This hotel produces best indian vegeterian dishes and lots of variety too. Quality of food was of very high class, if your meals are not included, than food can be expensive.

“Clean, Quiet & Safe Resort”

We only spent the weekend in Goa, so didn't have an opportunity to see/do much. The resort was perfect for lying by the pool or any of the grassy areas on a lounge chair and getting some sun. It had an o.k. spa with very reasonable rates on a mani/pedi. The open air lounge overlooking the ocean was really relaxing to have a cocktail and when it closed, we went to the indoor lounge which had a pool table and plenty of room to sit and relax.

“Relaxing”

The hotel and service more than met my expectations. Considering it's proximity to Panaji, there was little if any traffic noise, although there were plenty of boats making their way up and down the river. The food was good, with a very plentiful choice from the buffet and the a la carte menus; the service was sometimes a little slow, but given the number of guests, understandable. The outdoor fish restaurant was extremely good with a wide selection of fresh fish cooked to perfection.

Traveller's tip

The pool was fine - my 3-year-old had a wonderful time. However, the children's room was a bit of a disappointment as the real room was under refurbishment so a normal bedroom had been set aside for this. I would expect this to improve considerably when the refurbishment is complete. The attendant - if that is the correct title - was enthusiastic and all the children got on well with her; she should be congratulated.

“Marriot Goa, lost in the middle of nowhere”

We stayed there 3 days and it was more than enough as there is nothing to do there. The hotel was under renovation (noise, some parts were closed), at teh checkin people open your luggage to check everything, they don't have as in other hotels i stayed a X-ray machine to scan without opening. The room was good, the pool is great but the private beach is very polluted and you can see the huge ship just 100 m ahaed. I stayed in another part of Goa just before, with nice sand beaches, waves, in an hotel a quater the price of Marriot and it was much better.

Area recommendations

Instead of staying in Panaji where there is nothing much, you should better go to Calangute, Baga where the nice beaches are and more activities as well on evening.
