easy to get to. Large car park.

Posted 17-Nov-2014
Pros: stayed as close to racing and town, great choice
Cons: breakfast was shocking, you had to do everything yourself.. the wait for food to be cooked was so long many people if front of me just gave up.
Location: town at night and racing
first impressions great, clean friendly and space to move. Room large and smelt lovely. The down side you could hear people walking around the corridors' the walls were thin and the young families above running and dancing around were not fun. some sort of sound proofing would be helpful. over all a lovely hotel (except breakfast)

went for relaxing break

Posted 10-Nov-2014
Pros: the room, spa and gym was superb,
Cons: choice of food in the restuarant was poor and portion size was small, wifi needs to be addressed although it was free
Location: Cheltenham was 3 miles so easy to get a taxi to if you didnt want to drive
enjoyed the spa facilitieis and gym, room was clean and tidy, only areas of concern was wifi dropping out very regulary - and we thought the evening restaurant choice wasnt good- ( lamb had too much fat and the cheese board was a plate with 3 cheeses and jacobs crackers). so stay there eat elsewhere

Very pleasant stay.

Posted 02-Nov-2014
Pros: The location/accommodation and staff.
Location: Cheltenham is on the doorstep with the usual entertainment (cineworld) and a variety of restaurants.
The room was very comfortable. We had a meal on the first night which was excellent. The gym was bigger and offered more equipment than in a lot of hotels. The swimming pool was big and the water temperature very much to my liking! The surrounding grounds/golf park added to the tranquillity and made our stay even more relaxing.

Overnight stay Sept 2014

Posted 24-Sep-2014
Pros: Nice and Easy for access to Cheltenham without getting snarled up in the centre traffic.
Hotel is a grade listed building so many original features including the main reception. Rooms upstairs have to be reached by stairs as there is no lift but there appear to be lots of rooms. I had a great swim in the indoor pool. Dinner was good . breakfast was a buffet style arrangement. very satisfactory.

avoid the restaurant!

Posted 30-Aug-2014
Pros: Pool and spa
Cons: restaurant service
Location: nice area
Room was very comfortable and roomy enough. Spa and pool was good and very convenient. Restaurant service was a huge disappointment. The sirloin steak was mediocre (compared with an excellent sirloin enjoyed in North Berwick the week before). The glass of red wine ordered to go with the steak never arrived although we were offered someone else's sparkling rose wine order, and our neighbours were offered someone else's drinks order, indicating a complete breakdown in the beverage department. The bill took 35 minutes to arrive despite 3 requests , rather pathetic when it is all computerised anyway.. we didn't want to risk breakfast so went elsewhere.

Poor customer service

Posted 28-Aug-2014
Pros: The location
Cons: Deal with problems earnestly and offer either recompense for failures or change in room
Location: Central Cheltenham is great for it's variety of boutiques, galleries and shops around the Promenade. A visit to the twee village of Bhurton is a must
Our shower was faulty so we had cold water which was not fixed despite promises to do so and no offer of a change in room was made. The spa facilities were also fault with the steam room poorly functioning for over four weeks though staff falsely portrayed this would be fixed "imminently" to all newcomers. Breakfast was satisfactory though the grill had little variation daily and scrambled eggs either overly runny or overdone!Staff were pleasant but clearly need to have greater customer services training to know how to deal with complaints with honesty.

Value for Money

Posted 21-Aug-2014 on Hotels.com
Perfectly adequate hotel with a pleasant spa facility providing good value for money. Roof plant a bit noisy in the morning. Breakfast quite adequate but we chose to eat out in the evenings. We were in the original house and the en suite bathroom to our bedroom needed a bit of sprucing up. Lack of a lift (we didn't find one) might be a problem for some. Good and friendly service.
