Cheap rate but place is in bad condition. Torn furniture, peeling paint, stained peeling ceiling. No onsite staff. The room was clean and the sheets were sanitized. I would not return.

I have never stayed in a place as bad as this. I thought I was going to fall through the floor in the bathroom. I was afraid to step into the shower as the walls were bowing in like they had been severely water damaged. The ceiling had a hug water stain with mold in it, and room smelled terrible. Didn’t gat a refund on the second night I booked because I didn’t want to step in the door. The virtual check in was terrible! Called the number several times before I got an answer, all while standing in the parking lot looking like a loiterer. I will never come back and skip Gladstone all together just to stay away from this place.

The room, especially the bathroom could use some remodeling. The carpeting looked to be quite stained. Laminate would be preferred. The check in procedure was very easy. Call a number and get a code for the door.

No one ever made the bed, no fresh towels and hot water took 10 minutes to arrive in low pressure shower.

A generic cheap roadside motel in town. Max. one (queen) bed per room. No staff on site; call for key code upon arrival. Small, somewhat worn rooms. Clean. Noisy window unit heat/AC. Small TV with limited channels. Small refrig. (with tiny freezer), microwave, coffee maker and wifi all worked fine. Convenient parking.

There was no one in the office. They use a contactless system. They gave us a code over the phone to unlock our door after we called twice. Once we got in we found the refrigerator was unplugged and we have to wait for it to get cold.

On behalf of our entire team please accept our apologies for your refrigerator being unplugged. Our housekeepers normally check to make sure all appliances, lamps, etc. are plugged in as guests routinely unplug them to plug in other items. They will once again be reminded of the importance of this step in cleaning. As you mentioned we are a contactless facility with no staff on-site using a virtual front desk. This is a bit of an experiment and so far it has been working out well with a great deal of positive feedback from our guests. Usually we just have to send a text message once the room is ready; however, in the case of reservations booked on travel sites we are frequently missing information to complete your reservation including in some cases mobile numbers to send those messages to.We hope you will consider coming back to give us another chance to exceed your expectations.Thank youAndrew Rasch, Regional Manager

Price was very good. It has a coffee maker with both regular and decaffeinated coffees, clear flat screen TV, microwave, fridge, two chairs, toiletries, and towels were displayed with cute designs!

Room was clean, but a huge spider had taken up residence in one corner of the ceiling and spun a giant web full of dead bugs so it clearly hadn't been touched in a WHILE.
Also had peeling paint and wallpaper throughout.
Totally fine for my Spartan needs and spider situation aside it was very clean. But it's pretty run down and shabby & given there are two motels nearby that are in MUCH better shape for MUCH better prices (they were unsurprisingly fully booked) I can't say I'd recommend this place unless you're in a pinch (like I was).

It was a little outdated. TV worked great, the bed was comfortable. Best part was how quiet it was. There's a family dollar nearby and McDonald's.

Great motel and definitely one of the better ones during my stay in the UP. Over the phone check in was also really nice and friendly staff. Really comfy bed too and only complaint was the small shower. But otherwise very solid room especially given the price!
