Mr. Ayhan was very kind and helpful. We actually arrived earlier at 10:30 am. We left our luggages in the hotel. We feel secured and feel free to walk around without carrying backpack and luggages . Mr. Ayhan showed us the best route to get into the historical area of Ghent. We enjoyed our stay over there. If you travel with luggages and you don’t want to spend too much time or money to take transportations to get to your hotel. I believe this hotel is the best choice for you for Just walk 3-4 minutes to have a good place to rest and sleep.

Very nice staff. I would, however, ask in advance if your room faces the train tracks. A steadily active train track was about 50 feet from my window. It was an ongoing choice between quiet and fresh air. It felt perfectly safe, though, and you can't beat the proximity to the main train station.

Great location for a nice walk to the city center, especially if traveling via bus/train. Was disappointed that nothing was available when I came down at 830 for breakfast. When I paid cash for my room I was given change but it was 2 euros short. My phone charger was not working and the front desk kindly lent me one to use!

Enjoyable stay.
Very well located for the Train Station and the trams. Friendly and helpful hosts. Hotel was very clean and well maintained. Room not quite as described, no tea/ coffee making facilities as stated. Was meant to be a Deluxe room with a separate seating area. There was one comfortable chair squeezed in beside the bed. This wasn't too important for us but just to make others aware of it. Perhaps we were put in a standard room by mistake but it was front facing so preferred to stay there rather than chance being in a rear facing room which I guessed may be a bit noisy from the trains. Breakfast was included in the price but we were told there was no breakfast on our first morning so he deducted that from our bill. Although this sounds a bit negative we enjoyed our stay there and found It good value for our 3 nights and I would return again.

Quiet and Good Location for Station
I chose this hotel as it was so close to the station and I had a very early train to catch after a one night stay for work. I was a little bit nervous about being so close to the station - in some cities this is one of the most dodgy places to stay. However, the area was totally fine, clean, quiet and I felt totally safe. The hotel was quiet too, especially being so close to the railway tracks. The bed was firm but comfy, the room was warm. It isn't the most glamourous hotel I've ever stayed in but it was perfectly ok for a one night trip and perfect if you want to be close to the station.

Nice hotel, perfect location as we wanted - close to train, we used trains to Brugge and Antwerp, bought tram tickets to Ghent city centre to safe our time. We were told by receptionist it is a noisy in hotel room, but relay was not so bad. Stayed in room 104, there are light noise from passing trains - but it is does not interfere to sleeping. Small room with tiny bathroom was ok. The room was cleaned and refreshed air every day. Pillows are not very soft and extra large what we liked, but it is ok for 3 nights. Very nice buffet breakfast + scrambled eggs with bacon, delicious croissants, and Belgium chocolate.

Beautiful location, steps away from train station
This is a beautifully decorated hotel just a few doors down from the train station. It's wonderful for bringing in your luggage, but keep in mind that the heart of Ghent is a bit further away (a lovely walk, though.) My room was small and cozy but mostly comfortable. The shower was very small, which is something to keep in mind if you need more room. I'd also recommend ear plugs to block the noise from nearby trains. It's not excessive by any means, but it's enough to bother you if you're a light sleeper. I used mine and slept well during my stay. Like most of Ghent, though, this is just a beautiful location that you'll enjoy for that reason alone!

The staff was friendly and the room was adequate. The room was what I expected. There was small terrace, however it over looked the train station. Location was close to the trains so if you are a light sleeper this may bother you. Nothing really negative to say.

Great staff Great location Great value I liked that it is 2 blocks from the train station and a relatively short walk from historic Ghent. Very clean room and close to a lot of good restaurants.

Adorable and quaint. Worth a good deals price.
Hotel the Lord was a great decision. Close to train station and other Ghent attractions. Walking distance to Korenmarkt and Gravensteem Castle. Or tram if you want. Rooms were cozy, small but adorable. Amazing midfloor outdoor terrace for smoking or pastries. Downsides, VERY close to train station. Basically in backyard. Trains run early and if you’re a light sleeper, forget it.

Easy access and good stay
Was able to checkin extra early. Staff did not speak muck English but enough for our needs and they were pleasant and helpful. Room was clean and everything worked. Internet worked well and stay was comfortable. Was close to trains but was surprisingly not a problem while sleeping. 2 km walk to heart of town but train to downtown available 50 m from hotel front door. Train station to/from Gent 100 m walk to hotel. Quiet location.

The good and bad - it’s close to the train station
Because of its proximity to the station, it’s very noisy. But it’s essy to get around from here. You should also know, there is no elevator. Nice breakfast.

Great little hotel near station
The hotel was 2 minutes walk from the St Pieters train station, so very convenient for travel. It was very clean and, apart from the occasional train sound, it was very quiet. The room had everything I needed including decent free wifi :) I would stay there again.

The hotel is close to the station and therefore it was unfortunate there was noisy track work being done most of the night I stayed. Also loud music playing next door most of the night. The hotel staff were unhelpful and rude saying it was not their problem. Breakfast was adequate. The room was comfortable, clean etc but the lack of sleep ruined my visit to Gent

Cozy hotel very close to train station
Great stay at a cozy hotel very close to the train station - ideal "home base" for taking day trips to Bruges. Great service, comfy beds, and they have two bicycles available to rent.

Good if you need to be close to train station
The hotel was clean and conveniently close to the train station. However it is not close to the main center of town where the action is and there was no English speaking staff that could answer questions. The hotel manager/attendant was nice to show me where I needed to purchase a tram pass and train I needed to catch. He advised me to get a 15Euro tram/bus card which was much more than I needed for the 2 days I stayed in Ghent. I did with the understanding that he would give me cash for any remaining funds. When I was ready to give him the card he only wanted to pay for the portion I had used worth 6 Euro vs. the 9 left on the pass. That upset me and I ended giving the pass to another person that fortunately was nearby and willing to give me 9E for the pass. Needless to say this put a damper on the overall experience.

Good place to stay close to the station
2-min walk from the station, pleasant staff, although I must say that I was lucky to get a room that did not face the railway tracks (I did see one room that does face the tracks). My room faced the road but there was hardly any noise once the windows were shut. Very clean throughout, modern bathroom fittings (although the wash-basin is way too small). All in all, it served my purpose, so I was happy.

Great little hotel right next to the train station. The service is super friendly and the room very comfortable. One warning though: the soda bottles in the fridge aren't complimentary: they're 2.80 EUR each! Still it was nice to have them, though I'd appreciate if they posted a note about the price near the fridge, and not just in the menu, which makes it seem like it applies to the bar. Did I mention they have a small bar downstairs?

Fantastisch klein maar fijn Hotel
Zeer vriendelijk hotel en hoteleigenaar. Heerlijke bedden, alles keurig schoon. Ontbijtbuffet was compleet met een versgebakken omelet door de hoteleigenaar. Ons zie je hier zeker terug!

Estafa
Un engaño. Ibamos 2 hombres, pedimos un habitación de 2 camas. Y cuando llegamos nos dieron una cama grande diciendo que solo les quedaba una habitación. No nos quisieron devolver el dinero. Tuvimos que marchar a otro hotel.

Vriendelijk onthaal, maar veel lawaai op de kamer vanwege de tram vooraan het gebouw, en de spoorweg aan de achterkant. Het was een warme dag, waardoor de kamers ook zeer warm waren, ramen openzetten was geen optie omwille van het lawaai.
