Home away from home!
I honestly don't know where to start because everything was so amazing and noteworthy. If you are considering booking, do not hesitate, you will be so thankful! From the moment of booking Heather is wonderful at communicating and giving you every resource you could possibly need. She is more than your typical vrbo host, she truly cares about your vacation plans. We went with a group of 10 adults and it was perfect for that size group. This home is in the best location, it is clean, has everything you could ever need and THE VIEW is breathtaking. It is truly hard to put into words how at ease you feel the whole time. There are so many caring for the home as well and a simple message away if you have any questions while there. The only negative is having to leave. It is a place we will absolutely go back to again and again!

Immaculate House
This was our first time to Exuma and picking the Sandbar house for our stay was the best decision we made. It met our expectations in every way. Not only is the house clean and fully stocked but it is decorated so cute. The pictures on the listing don’t do it justice. At the Sandbar, you will have everything provided for an unforgettable vacation.

Everything about our stay was wonderful. The house was better than advertised and extremely clean. It was very well stocked, which is not always the case. Heather was an excellent host- extremely responsive and helpful and went above and beyond to answer our questions. We had an awesome time and will be back! Could not have been any better!!
Our family has been blessed to have the opportunity to enjoy many incredible family vacations. Therefore, expectations have gotten high. Somewhat shockingly, The Sandbar exceeded all expectations! The house, the location and views, the amenities, and the help from Heather and her team were all impeccable! I truly can't imagine anything that could have been better. Every detail, big and small, was proactively addressed. So much so that it motivated me to post a review (which I've never done). Thank you Heather!

Love The Sand Bar!
The house is amazing! We had a group of 6 adults and had plenty of room. The house is exactly as it appeared in the photos, only prettier. Heather our host was amazing! Great communication with Heather, who gave awesome recommendations on restaurants and activities, and had everything ready for us even on last minute requests. Chef Khristont made a wonderful and entertaining dinner for us at The Sand Bar one night that was a highlight of the trip. We were sad to leave The Sand Bar!

Family Trip
We really enjoyed our stay at The Sandbar. The house is just as great as the photos. Comfortable mattresses and the house is perfectly laid out. We enjoyed the hot tub on cloudy days. Lots of extra toys and beach equipment. Hope to be back soon! Heather was great and super responsive to questions!

Perfect location, beautiful new house!
From the day we began the reservation process to the last day of our stay everything was terrific. Heather made excellent recommendations and took care of several of the reservations personally, something the past VRBO owners we have had haven’t done. The house is even nicer than the photos. We recommend Betty for meal delivery and Chef Khristont for dinner (and a song)! Awesome Al took us the see the swimming pigs. Recommend it and note that it is about a 60 mile ride out and back. Highly recommend The Sandbar!

Perfect!
Everything about this property exceeded our expectations! It is just as perfect as it seems in photos. Heather was a pleasure to work with. We ordered food from Da Kitchen upon arrival which was not only delicious but perfect for leftovers throughout the week. Exuma was absolutely lovely and we enjoyed beautiful weather. Despite our best efforts with diligent bug spray and repellants, the sand flies got us if we tried to be outside in the morning or evening, so that is my only caution. The home is absolutely gorgeous and the owners have really thought of everything! We would love to return! ♥️

Friend get away
Incredible communication from the property owner. All of her recommendations were perfect from the driver to the chef to the grocery stocker. Everyone was incredibly efficient and very nice. Amazing location and views that cannot be beat. The groceries on the island are very expensive and we had issues with the bugs despite our use of bug spray. Other than that (none of which the owner can control), the stay was amazing. Look forward to being back.

Took some friends down to Exuma who had not been before. Chose this house because of proximity to both ends of the island. The house was fantastic and as advertised! Heather was super responsive and made sure we were in good shape every step of the way!

Perfect House with Beautiful Views
10 stars! Myself, husband and our friends (9 total) stayed at this beautiful beach house for a 40th birthday celebration. Heather and her staff are absolutely FANTASTIC. From the moment we booked, Heather helped us plan everything, from tips for grocery pre-stock (get the premade Goombay Smash!), a Bahamian meal catered by Betty for our first night (yummy!), car services (Gully and Omar are awesome!), restaurant and private chef recommendations, etc. Not only did Heather help plan, but she always responded to my questions within a matter of minutes (and I had a lot of questions :)). The house itself is even better than the pictures. Everything is clean, well kept, and has everything you need (beach chairs, cornhole, pool floats, snorkel gear, etc.). The rooms are well spaced and gives everyone a place to recharge if need be. The outdoor area, pool and hot tub are wonderful and offer a space for everyone. The view and beach are breathtaking. The property manager, Spence, was incredibly responsive. We took advantage of Gully's services (both car and sea captain) and I am so glad we did. He is very accommodating and had us everywhere on time (with excellent dinner recommendations!). A boat charter is a must to really experience everything the Exumas has to offer! We could not have asked for a better stay and would love to return one day. Thank you Heather and team!

perfect 40th trip and couples getaway!
We had an amazing stay in Exuma at the Sandbar! This fully stocked house had a perfect set up for 5 couples with everything you could need including a beautiful infinity pool with breathtaking views! Huge thanks to Heather for all of the wonderful recommendations to make our trip planning seamless - Gully for car service, Chef Julian for dinners, Odyssey Picnics, Exuma Watersports, to name a few! She was so helpful and prompt with communication for several months before our trip which made the actual vacation so relaxing. Her knowledge and attention to detail is bar none! We can't wait to return on our next adult getaway OR bring our kids, as this home would be just as perfect for families. Don't look elsewhere, just book the Sandbar and look forward to the best of Exuma.

Book It - Amazing for a Family Beach Vacation
Would definitely book again! Fantastic: (1) proximity to airport (10 min drive), (2) ability to run back and forth between a pool and the ocean/beach, (3) quality of beach/view (it's beautiful, was calm, and very private - you will see a few friendly neighbors, but for the most part, we had the beach to ourselves), and (4) space (the house has a great set up for multiple families who need their own space for things like nap times, and a large common area with ample seating for things like board games while cooking dinner). The house is clean, safe, and well-appointed (full kitchen gadgets and even things like an ice maker), and for the most part, updated (a few minor changes would make it perfect - set of stairs down to the beach, exterior fans on the deck to help with flies). We had one issue while at the home (numerous wasps on the deck that were determined to sun themselves despite us hosing away crumbs) and the owner responded immediately to coordinate the pest control service. A few tips: (1) rent a car, (2) use AC water sports for your adventure, (3) bring a few toys for kids (there are some in the shed and house, but there's not much for sale as far as beach footballs/boogie boards/etc. in the small grocery stores); house does have snorkel gear/SUP, (4) groceries are expensive and in some ways have more than imagined (beyond burgers),but are short on other items (not all sizes of diapers). Great location, you won't be disappointed.

Spectacular house, amenities, location!
I was a little skeptical that the house could live up to the photos. It did 1000%! The moment you walk through the front door, you can see the beautiful view and water you were dreaming of. We had 10 in our group, from 5-65. The house provided so many amenities. The kitchen has plenty of dishes, glassware, pots and pans. (Nice ones!) There are lots of floats, sand toys for the kids, masks and snorkels, and beach chairs. A great Bluetooth speaker. AC works great! Lots of beach towels. Communication with the owner, Heather, is amazing. Ask her for whatever help you need. If she recommends someone or something to do, do it. One of our favorite recommendations from Heather was to rent a boat and hire Gully for our captain. He was so kind and knowledgeable. We wish we had done this twice and maybe even a third day. The location of the house is very convenient. A grocery store and liquor store is very close, maybe 5 minutes away. Maybe 15 minutes to Georgetown. We did rent cars but Gully can drive you, too. I really could go on and on. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

The Most Beautiful Stay
We had the best time staying at The Sandbar! There were 12 of us for 4 nights and we never felt over crowded. The pool is as amazing as it looks with the view right into the ocean. The ocean was the perfect temperature and the waves subtle enough you didn't have to worry about getting knocked over. The beach was basically all ours with only a couple other neighbors in sight. The rooms inside the house were large and beautifully decorated. Heather had the house stocked very well with everything we needed to cook breakfast, lunch and dinner and enjoy any kind of drink. We took advantage of the shopping before we arrived (it was great) and Gully was our personal driver for the time we were there. If you plan on making your way around the island or like to run quick trips to the store, I would look into renting a car or two. The cost for a quick 10 min round trip drive for 2 people was $40 and it added up quickly with the extra excursions we did. We all agreed we would LOVE to stay at The Sandbar again.

This was our yearly Family Vacation that we gift to our 4 adult kids/their spouses and 3 of our grandkids.So much to say about our stay and hope I can say everything to let Heather and anyone wanting to rent this absolutely amazing house how wonderful this was. 1st- this house was beyond beautiful, amazing, magical and I can't even say all the words we all used to describe this house. Heather was the most amazing host. She had everything and I mean everything that you could possibly need in her house just as if you were at home and even better! Her staff was truly the best. Any requests or questions they were there to explain or help. Heather also provided other contact information for services such as drivers, food service etc and gave her options according to her experiences which was so helpful and made our trip so easy and relaxing. I can't say enough about this house. Plenty of room for our group of 12. And yet enough space to have time to ourselves. Our kids are so ready to come back here and not go anywhere else. Repeat stay at the Sandbar
This was our second time staying at the Sandbar, as usual, Heather the host was more than accommodating, everything was perfect, just as we remembered it! Even though the weather wasn’t perfect everyday, we still had an amazing time and made memories with our family and friends! We got to enjoy the house more this time, cooked our own meals, had Chef Khriston one night (he never disappoints) and spent more time in the pool, hot tub and on that stunning beach! Perfect trip in paradise. From the moment you book this house the property manager was there to answer any questions or to help book a chef, driver or private picnic on the beach. Once you arrive to the House you don’t want to leave because they’ve thought of every little detail to make this house feel like a home for the duration of your trip. The best
It was really hard for us to leave. Heather is super helpful the second you book your stay and is there to answers any of you questions prior to your arrival. The house is stocked with many great kitchen items, very well thought out. The drive from airport to house is maybe 5 mins which is super convenient. The views from the house are one of the best on the island. We would stay at the home again. 🇧🇸💙🙏🏻

Tropical Paradise
The home is lovely, open, great for large groups, while having plenty of space to enjoy a quiet moment reading (we used the hammock) or just staring out at the unbelievable views. It’s like a rainbow of blues, from the pool, out to the ocean, and the sky. Breathtaking. I have traveled many beautiful places but I have to say, the Sand Bar, and Exuma in general, have the most vibrant, stunning ocean views of anywhere in the world. The property host was incredibly responsive and so helpful. There were a couple of maintenance glitches during our stay such as the smoke alarm chirping one night (due to low battery I assume) and the infinity pool waterfall not working. I managed to pause the chirping and the issue was somehow resolved when we returned from an excursion. Overall I can’t imagine a better place to stay in Exuma than the Sand Bar.

Perfect home for family get together!
This home is set up beautifully! There is a master bedroom on each side which allowed our 2 families to share the house, but still have privacy and separation for kids. The home is well equipped with everything you would need in the kitchen, pool toys, kayaks, games, coolers and even laundry baskets in each room. Heather has thought of everything! Heather is also very communication and responsive. There was something broken from a previous guest and she was able to fix it quickly (even being on an island) so we could enjoy for our week stay. The location on the island is perfect as you can get everywhere you need without a long drive. We would absolutely come back for another stay!

Truly Perfect.
Not only is this property breathtaking from outside to inside but the owner has literally thought of everything one could use and need in a beach home for several days. She made our whole vacation experience seamless and simply perfect. The management staff was attentive, accessible and friendly at all times. Dreamy!!
We had an amazing stay at The Sandbar house. We have stayed at two other houses in the exumas and it was our favorite so far. We had 5 couples and plenty of room. The pool was the perfect temperature and the hot tub was a great addition that the previous homes did not have. The property is also in a perfect location with super easy access to the ocean and gorgeous views. Thank you!

Perfect home. Perfect location. The Sand Bar is incredible. Heather has thought of everything. The home is total luxury 11/10. The location is incredible and close to town, restaurants, grocery stores, the fish fry, live music. And of course you’re sitting on the perfect beach. Hot tub, insane pool and that view. Paradise!!!

Amazing House and lovely beach!
We absolutely loved our stay at The Sandbar. Everything is top notch, and had everything we needed. We were greeted by our driver for the week, Gully, and he took us wherever we needed to go. We were greeted by the caretakers of the property, and shown exactly where everything was and how it all worked! Heather, the owner was very helpful in advance also! Groceries were bought in advance, although we were missing some items because of the holiday, Desereen kept checking for them and kept in contact with me everyday! We really enjoyed the kayaks, patio, pool, hammock, and having beach towels at our disposal. We had some local favorites like Shirley's and even got in on the action of Junkanoo, the bahamian festival! That was a suggestion from Gully! I would stay at this property again as it has everything you need for a great time!

60th Celebration!!
My kids and I embarked on planning a get away to celebrate my 60th and all the B-Days missed during COVID a year ago . We could not have picked a better destination and The Sandbar was spectacular. Beautiful water
Beautiful home and wonderful layout. The beach is stunning with soft, fine sand. The sound of the waves is mesmerizing and can be heard well from the patio of the house. The brake of the waves on the shore was bit rough for the younger family members to traverse but the kids 8+ were able to play in the ocean. The major drawback is the sand fleas; we were completely eaten up. They seem to be the most prevalent in late afternoon, evening and mornings, which notably cuts into the outdoor time. Baby oil slightly detoured these devil insects, but no topical solution was truly successful. Overall, the rental itself was amazing! The owner and the support staff are very responsive and super helpful.

From day 1, Heather kindly helped us plan the perfect Christmas vacation for my family. She went over and beyond what I expected. The recommendations that she gave made the trip stress-free. I can't say enough about the house...it is fabulous and the view, breathtaking! Deseeren pre-shopped groceries for us. Chef Sahriqua prepared an outstanding Christmas Eve dinner and we couldn't have made it without Gully, our driver. Can't wait to stay here again!

The Sandbar Exceeds Expectations!
From the Property Owners and Property Managers (Desereen and Spence) to the overall experience on the island, everything was simply incredible. The Welcome Packet provided all the necessary information we needed and more. I highly recommend taking advantage of having the property managers pre-shop for groceries. Both Desereen and Spence also went above and beyond with suggestions and guidance on things to do on the island. We’ve visited several islands and these accommodations far surpassed any other experience we’ve had. Highly recommend The Sandbar!

Heaven on Earth
The view when we arrived and walked through the front door was literally BREATHTAKING. The house was everything the description portrays and even better in person. We enjoyed every minute of our stay. The house has everything you will need, inlcuding washer/dryer. Communication between the housekeeper was superb. She pre-shopped for groceries before we arrived. We had Chef Gavin come and prepare a delicious dinner one night. He was very accommodating and made a separate entree for the children that they loved. Everyone on the island is friendly and there are hidden gems everywhere. We will definitely be back!

A Great Geezer Gathering!
The Sandbar house on Tar Bay in Exuma exceeds expectations in so many ways! Its easy to say a place 'has it all' but that's actually true at SB house. From original design concept through construction execution to outfitting, right down to the smallest detail, SB had it there for you: even poker chips for our retired group of friends! Property management onsite is top notch, very attentive and knowledgable and able to explain location of all the water toys, masks, snorkles, grill and the pre-arrival checklist from the host is SO helpful and complete. We'll be back!

THE BEST TRIP EVER!!!
Where do I even begin. If I could give this 10 stars I would. This was a trip with friends to celebrate some of our 40th birthdays. We left the kids at home so this was adults only. Let's start with the owner, Heather. One word- WOW. She was EXCEPTIONAL. I feel SO honored to actually have met her, I felt like I was meeting a celebrity. I was the planner of our group so I think it's safe to say I had 1,000 questions and she was patient and answered all of them in such a descriptive way. The housekeepers, Desereen and Spence, were so wonderful. They pre-shopped for us and answered questions for us along the way, very responsive. Gully, our driver, was THE BEST. He was readily available, always on time, and FUN! The house itself was a dream and perfect in every way. Heather literally has thought of EVERYTHING! And they keep it so clean and neat! This place was magical and I couldn't recommend this any more!!! Thank you for EVERYTHING Heather!!!

A wonderful relaxing and private vacation spot. Heather was a wonderful host and has excellent and responsive communication. The listing and pictures were accurate and according to what is actually there. We’d recommend this spot to any wanting a dream vacation! P.S. the only recommendation we would have would be to have a small hand-vac for renter use and to provide a few Sterno canned heat available to keep away the flies when eating at the ourdoor dining area.

Great, great family home. Kitchen very well-equipped. Ample plates, coffee cups, etc for large family. Two( very good) washers and dryers. Ample beach towels. Terrific views of the gorgeous waters of Exuma. Very short walk to beach. Pool and hot tub were terrific amenities. Lots of toys for the kids for pool. Even snorkeling gear. 5 minutes to airport and 10 minutes to town. Our daughter and husband loved staying in the bungalow by the pool. This is a terrific family vacation home in a gorgeous setting.

Best rental I’ve ever had
When traveling to the Bahamas it can be overwhelming getting everything you need on an island that doesn’t have much in the way of supplies. No worries with this house as the owners have made it very easy for your family/friends to enjoy paradise at a whole different level. This house is setup perfectly and my guests and I enjoyed it so much that we are already booking it again. The owners were fabulous and did everything to insure that we had a great time while enjoying their beautiful property. I would highly recommend this rental.
