Clean rooms and staffs are all helpful. Whenever we went back to the hotel, the door will already open for us by their staff holding to the door.
Stayed here for 3 nights while in George Town. Not central but only a 7 min ride to centre and not expensive via grab.
I thought I booked with breakfast but arrived and none in my room. But ok as I looked at breakfast and didn’t look good so went out and bought at coffee shop round corner.
Room was clean and water each day.
Staff friendly and held bags when arrived early and stayed later.
Would have wished the staff would turn down the volume on their walkie talkie machines as each morning heard at 7am outside my room and floor as they cleaned rooms so always got woken
Didn’t try food at hotel but rooms nice and for price and location was fine for me.

Parking was cumbersome
Everything was fine, exept the parking was very difficult. Have to use lift for parking the car, we find it cumbersome.
Parking and driving out of hotel space is narrow. Apart from this, all are satisfactory.

It was easy to find the hotel cause the location is strategic. The environment is trendy & inviting. The carpark is one of its special feature where they have car lift to park the car from floor 5 to 9. The packing part is there is no one or system where customers can open the lift door. Either hotel staff or call the hotel reception to open the lift door. The another lacking part is the hotel amenities in the hotel.

Good as a base hotel

It was all good except the noise at night from the bar across. They were playing live music till late night. It was not a disturbing music but could be annoying if someone wants quiet night.

Clean and comfortable hotel located very close to local food courts. Staff were helpful and very attentive. Breakfast for us was very disappointing. Not much choice.
For the price we paid, our stay was worth it. We should not have chosen the “with breakfast” included option.

Rooms with doors conecting to another room, NOISY.
The Hotel is very clean, well decorated an excellent location. My only complaint was one of the doors was connected to another room. I have to spend few hours listening to what was going on in the nest room. That may be okay for families but nor for strangers. I spoke to someone at the front desk but got no help. The room also have no window and that is not safe in case of a fire. Those rooms should not be allowed. Everything also was perfect.

We booked a Family Room for 4 persons for 3 nights. The hotel is new.
Room cleanliness and spacious are 2 main factors we like about the hotel.
Although only a 3-stars rated hotel, the stay doesn't make us feel like a 3-star during our stay.
Keep up and maintain the cleanliness standard as this is one of the considering factor Traveller is look for.

Mei hotel is a new and nice hotel with lots of food around so it's easy to find foods even till night. its just the hotel is a little bit noisy since lots of unpleasant guests stayed there. we can hear upstairs guest walking and talking. but the room was clean. Near the hotel have many street foodstall.we try the chicken rice,prawn noodle and hokkien noodle,very delicous and cheap.opp the hotel have a popular tim sum resturant but we didnt try because full house.

Georgetown is geared to tourists and we made full use of the Shuttle buses and the Hop-On Hop-Off buses, doing the City as well as the Beach tours. Great views from Penang Hill and the Habitat tour is recommended. Food from the Food Halls was delicious and cheap.

The staff in this hotel are great, we were treated excellent. The room was spotless and roomy, with comfortable pillows and bed. The shower was exceptional the best we have encountered...with amazing water pressure. About a 20 minute walk to Komtar where you can catch a bus to most anywhere on the island.

A new hotel still sorting out the bugs. The Hotel Manager and staff needs to ‘take possession’ of the hotel and feel proud of theproperty. Housekeeping is inconsistent cleaning the trash one day and not taking out thevtrash another day. Front office staff inattentive but hide behind the counter engrossed in their hand phone instead of welcoming guests. Bellman was the saving factor.
