We stayed for the weekend and had a wonderful experience. The innkeeper was very welcoming, easy to reach when needed, and shared wonderful stories about the property. There are some cosmetic updates that needed to be made to our room, but overall the property is very clean and comfortable. We would definitely stay again!

Amazing Historic place to stay in Dubuque. The host was extremely helpful and friendly. I recommend this B and B a block from downtown.

Fun, kind of quirky place!
Nice accommodations. Comfortable room. Good breakfast. Lack of staff was a little strange... Just loud music playing on a sound system as you walk in the door. Several things in disrepair... Window shades table legs, etc.

Loved the historicity of the property and the privacy offered. Nice, quiet stay! Staff were friendly, enjoyable and provided great service! Wonderful hosts!

Very interesting and historical
The outside of the building was a little scary, old a little run down. But the interior is awesome. Very interesting and historic. In need of some repairs, but still nice. The Chinese owner was funny and nice telling the history of the house.

Beautiful historic property is showing its age. Wallpaper in the room is peeling everywhere and held in place by tape. Bugs and stains in the bathroom. The host is excellent and serves a tasty, satisfying breakfast with compelling stories about the history of the house, it’s famous builder and the city. Historic Fenelon Elevator is in walking distance. A good stay!

How could you not love the Redstone? When we had a question the response was immediate and taken care of right away. Lovely area, wonderful service and the breakfast was amazing. Coming back… of course!!!

Old mansion turned B&B...good for one night! Limited amenities...but basics were there. Clean but not visually pleasing...peeling wallpaper...towels were yellow from use...portable a/c units everywhere. If you have limited ability to walk stairs this will be difficult..no elevators. Breakfast was nice but only served at 8am. Overall interesting historic place and worth a visit if thats your thing!!

Nice, clean and comfortable stay. Older mansion with very nice owners who are obviously doing what they can to make your stay as pleasant as possible! Extensive use of air purifiers was welcomed. Good breakfast with something to suit anyone.

He ran my credit card with out me being present, twice! Said there was a problem with the card, and gave my room away, tried to uocharge us to a junior suit, and wanted me to pay for running my card. Needless to say we didn’t stay, and I opted to pay at property, but with out me being there freaked me out.

The Redstone Inn was a wonderful experience for my partner and I! We are a fairly young couple who enjoy historical sites with lots of character. The room we stayed in had everything we needed and then some, and was extremely comfortable. The breakfast the following morning was delicious, with many options including fresh fruit, pastries, yogurt, hot breakfast, and so on. Robert was a very entertaining host that made us feel very welcome and we appreciated his hospitality with his guests! One thing to keep in mind is this B&B is built within an old mansion that was built in 1894, so there are areas that have seen better days, but we appreciated every bit of it!

Charming old Redstone home B&B. Inexpensive and near transportation in and out of Dubuque. Simple but ample breakfast with a cooked egg entree and plenty of breads, fruits, yogurt, nuts, etc. We’ll be back.

ROBERT, the Inn Keeper, was exceptionally knowledgeable about the history of the mansion and relayed it in the most entertaining manner! Our room was gorgeous and exquisitely furnished with period furniture, antiques, and photos of the Cooper family. Robert served and excellent breakfast; the best we have ever had at a B & B! We will be back!
