My Wife and I discovered this VRBO and could not be more grateful or more pleased with EVERYTHING.
We still are celebrating our 28th Wedding Anniversary (officially it was last Saturday.)
AND, there is a village near and dear to my Wife's Family that neither of us had ever visited; but stayed at "The Granary" because it was within a reasonable distance to that village. It's also minutes from Historic Canterbury (Chaucer's Tales), Folkstone and Dover!!!
We arrived LATE on Friday night as we met new friends in that Village nearby and just couldn't leave them alone at the Pub (The Gardner's Arms in Higham); and then had a late Dinner in Folkstone at The Bouverie Tap (additional reviews for BOTH to come.)
We were as the English say, "Shattered", "bone tired".
Our HOME for YESTERDAY AND TODAY was a converted Granary (and my saying that simply doesn't give it, its's proper due!
Robin and his Wife, Hazel, set us up with a bowl full of fresh bananas, green and red grapes, strawberries ('tis the season) , apples and tangerines.
The bread box had a full loave of fresh brown bread, there was coffee, homemade orange marmalade, yogurt, orange juice, milk, COFFEE, TEA, butter, etc. WE HAD IT MADE FOR BREAKFAST THIS MORNING!!!
Oh yes, there were fresh mushrooms and tomatoes in the fridge (and the gentlemen next door has free range eggs available too!!!
Our accommodations are INCREDIBLE!!! SO MUCH ROOM!!! A Shower and a BATH!!!
Most importantly for us (as we were between hotels in a fortnight (2 week) stay, A WASHER & A CLOTHES DRYER!!!
We slept a bit late; but after breakfast and before heading out to Dover and then to Canterbury, we chatted with Hazel (interrupting her gardening) and Robin.
We have used VRBO several times in Florida, Maui and the Big Island of Hawaii. Although not the tropical weather, this HOME was FANTASTIC!!!
Thank you Hazel and Robin for your hospitality and warmth!
