on the beach cottage room - loved it.

Posted 16-Feb-2015
Pros: friendly staff - helpful. quiet location.
Cons: second night room (quonset hut top) across road on canal - not very warm feeling - one flight of steps - with luggage a bit too much.
Location: Key West mostly.
Quiet and lovely place, great cottage room (did not care for room across road on canal - not up to date, seemed cold.) Loved th e beach area with seating and tables - very peaceful and quiet.

Great Florida Keys experience!

Posted 08-Feb-2015
Adirondack chairs and hammocks on the water. Palm trees and tiki huts. Parmer's is authentic Florida Keys. Clean, well-kept, and relaxing, not glitzy. Parmer's is an interesting collection of cottage-like buildings with rooms, each with porches and sitting chairs. We had a basic motel room. It was minimal in size and style, but was clean and had a comfortable queen bed. The staff was pleasant and attentive. The pool was quite nice. The free breakfast was simple and of decent quality. The location on Little Torch Key was peaceful. We had a short drive one way to Key West, the other way to beautiful Bahia Honda and Sombrero Beaches. Rentals for bikes, boats, and kayaks within 10 minutes. Great Keys eateries nearby. All around, we had an enjoyable weekend stay.

Convenient, well priced & clean

Posted 02-Feb-2015
Pros: most everything
Cons: TV in the permit room could be bigger and newer.
Location: Great location, short drive to Key West. We did Kayaking and snorkling, also close to grocery stores and great restuarants.
This place is very pleasant, excellent location, clean and spacious. Staff are wonderfull and take care of any needs you may have. Pool is small but warm and complimentary breakfast is fresh and delightful.

Great value on the water

Posted 19-Jan-2015
Pros: Location, value, breakfast.
Cons: The mattress, while nice, was caved in the middle.
Location: Remote but charming. About 45 minutes from Key West. Close to Bahia Honda State Park and the Key Deer Refuge.
This is a clean, pleasant bunch of rooms and buildings in a compound on the water. It was more reasonably priced than Key West but close enough to visit it nonetheless.

Quiet, cool cottage with water views

Posted 19-Jan-2015
Pros: The Staff and location.
Cons: Breakfast. It was healthy.maybe add bananas and yogurt There was an annoying "Exhaust" noise all night???
Location: Location is nice, beautiful water views.we were there only one night. Lot of water sports nearby, like snorkeling, scuba diving, boating.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Nice hotel, the rooms are more or less individual cottages. Hotel is 28 miles from key west. Liked the water front and view.

Ridiculous policies.

Posted 14-Jan-2015
Pros: Nothing. It's a trailer park resort (but you wouldn't know that by looking at the deceiving photos online).
At check in, I was forced to sign an agreement that I would not carry a small cooler into my room, or be charged an astronomical fee. Traveling with a cooler full of beverages, I was greatly inconvenienced by having to keep my cooler locked in my car. It was suggested by the resort manager that I keep my cooler on the front porch (only to ultimately get stolen).
