I didn't know it's a suite when booked, so it's definitely a big suprise for me and my friend. Very cozy place with lovely design, the owner makes the whole place like home ,love there and will recommend to my friends for sure.
Rainbow Bend is a wonderful choice for a relaxing stay in the Keys. It is right off the highway and close to parks, shopping, and attractions near Marathon. A full hot breakfast is included with your room to get you started for the day.The boats offer the avid fisherman a chance to experience the thrill of catching a variety of shallow water fish or take your honey for a romantic shore cruise. The pool area is very inviting after a long busy day. We really enjoyed the hot tub on our patio before dinner. They do have a restaurant on site, but we chose one of the local restaurants recommended by the staff and were not disappointed. If you like a small, friendly hotel with charming surroundings, Rainbow Bend is for you:).
We arrived after check in time and everything was waiting for us with a cute little hand written map with directions to our room. It was quite obvious that the staffs primary concern was making sure we had everything we needed for our vacation. Anne even called to have our by bicycles delivered directly to us at the hotel when it worked with our schedule that day! Our luggage was delivered to us a day late and again the staff was incredible with regards to trying to get us what we needed or advising where we could find what we needed on the island. Dominique even called the airline to find out the status of the delivery of our luggage. Michael the weekend staff was also incredible! We will definitely go back to azul the next time we plan a trip to key west! The staff was just so amazing and made us feel like good friends or family. The home is absolutely beautiful and very well kept. Very relaxing atmosphere! I would recommend to all!
OK...I rated it excellent overall...and maybe I went too far...it is just that for me, the place is all I expected....I don't go to the Keys to have a 5 star stay....but to feel that special laid back atmosphere that you can only find at those quaint guest houses.
I did enjoy indeed :))))
Just what we were looking for, nothin' fancy, just comfortable rooms and nice people near the stuff we wanted to do. They were right on the canal, and you could book snorkling trips, rent jet skis, etc, right from the stands just outside the hotel. We were expecting a regular hotel room, but it was an apartment suite with a balcony looking over the canal.
Parmer's Resort was located 45 mins from Key West and just what we were looking for. We were greeted warmly and shown to our room immediately. Our twin-bedded room was exceptionally clean, two pillows each and the bathroom was also, plenty of towels. The A/C was on and it was very comfortable. Ceiling fan also if we needed it. TV, but we never used it. Chairs located outside our room on the deck. The grounds of the resort were very tidy-signs of freshening up and final prep for the Florida season were evident. Colorful Arondack chairs were strategically located near the water's edge and also several hammocks which we all enjoyed. We did not use the pool but it did look inviting and were told it was kept at 85 degrees. Pool towels were available at the front desk as was a hairdryer if needed. We enjoyed the continental breakfast: choice of sliced pineapple, oranges, grapefruit, melon plus fresh orange juice. Several choices of cereal, donuts, muffins and bread to toast, packaged preserves and the coffee was excellent. What impressed me was that serving bowls were topped up immediately-so late comers still had a good selection. We were appreciative of the mandatory quiet time-10PM onwards. We went to Key West and were back at Boondocks for dinner (5 mins from resort) and some pleasant country western music. All in all, a great choice and a good experience.
