Hotel Sabana was a nice place to rest, in Flores after traveling to Tikal. The beds were comfortable, the shower was good and hot, and the TV worked, although there were no children's channels. It was also great to have a working Air conditioner in the room because it was very hot outside in July! Sitting by the pool, with the view of the lake was lovely, but actually getting inside the pool was cold. The Jacuzzi/hot tub was also cold. The breakfast in the hotel restaurant was nice, and the fresh pizza was good for dinner. When I tried to schedule a tour to Tikal through the hotel staff, one employee quoted me 450Q, for a full day tour with transportation, lunch, and a guide. Another employee later quoted me 150Q for a similar tour. Also, when I needed to schedule a taxi to the airport, one employee told me 20Q, then a second told me 25Q. I would definitely recommend this hotel, but just as other reviewers have suggested, be aware of the pricing discrepancies in everything that the hotel staff tells you.
