Overall we really enjoyed our stay. A 20 minute walk to town or a bus ride to basically anywhere. My only complaint is the AC was quite loud and kept me up at night.

Really friendly receptionist- our room was lovely and clean. Central location. No air con but the fan did the job for the most part ,room still quite hot though. Lovely terrace where we sat and had a coffee , warning the ‘coffee/tea in the common area‘ isn’t free (as it says in property description). Also water from taps was drinkable but warm.

Staff was helpful, some rooms are not air conditioned (not mentioned in website). These rooms became extremely hot in summer since rooms have huge glass windows and you cannot open them due to mosquitoes problem. So, I would recommend confirming the room with AC or not before booking.

Nice but noisy
Room was nice, the windows are bit sealed when closed so it sounds like the cars in your room especially at night which makes it hard to sleep, bathroom was decent size, bed was comfy

The property was a bit dated and smaller than the pictures. There was a shared bathroom for one floor, which was kept relatively clean. The location was ideal; only a 20 minute walk into central Florence. Staff were really friendly and helpful!

I went here in winter. The place was really cold. I got a cold at first night at this hotel and totally destroyed my Florence trip. The AC system had problem and also the radiators were off at the day time. When I asked the manager to turn on the radiator, he said "in Italy we turn off the radiators during the day and if you have problem go to another hotel."

HelloI'm so sorry about this feedback, i try to explain again that your request can be satisfied:- The room didnt have the AC so its not possible that have problems.- You request that the radiators was turn on all day 24/24 hours i explained that its not possible in all Italy and particularly in Florence the italian law force that the maximum temperature must be 21 grades its easy you can check on google the regulation, so when they arrive at this temperature the radiator was turn off.You request to solve this problems, i only reply that i cant change the law and i can refund your stay and search another hotel that satisfied your request.I hope that you solve your request.best regards

Very cheap. Accommodating and responsive staff. I wanted a cheap place to stay that was no more than a half hour's walk from the sites of Florence and had a comfy bed with clean sheets (and clean in general), and not noisy. And that's what I got. I didn't try the breakfast, but I appreciated that it was an option. I mean, really, what more do you actually need? You're not hosting dinner parties, and if you spend much time in your room, you're doing Florence wrong.

Nice basic clean room with double and single bed, great value, 10 min walk from centre of city, down straight road, breakfast available at 6 euros but I prefered to eat in the town, nice en-suite, quiet area, good for solo travellers

The location was close walking to the center but very far walking back from Arno river about 40 mins for us. The place was nice and clean. Shower was in the room and shared bath where toilet was is right outside our room which is convenient. It’s on a busy street so we didn’t leave our window open at night. No ac but there was a fan in the room

The staff went above and beyond for us during our stay. The room was clean and quaint - a perfect place to stay at night after a day of sightseeing. The area around the hotel doesn't have many restaurants that stay open past 7 or 8pm, but there's a lovely store down the street to get snacks. It's about a 15-20 minute walk to the city center if you want more than that in the evening though. They offer breakfasts and dinners, they have a great balcony, and again the staff was just phenomenal.

Great stay!
The only comment we would have was that the shower was really small/tight. Other than that, it was a great stay. We would definitely come back again!

It was a lovely period building with lots of staircase bit maybe too much with a check luggage suitcase and two cabin bahs. Howevrr, I receive help and support in regards too and from my room plus my exost. The manager and staff were quite suppportive and friendly. I would dreccomend to friends.

The hotel staff was kind and very helpful, however, the room was a tad uncomfortable and inconvenient. We had to share one bathroom with the whole floor and the room was so hot, with no AC that we had to have the windows open all night and woke up each morning with at least 10 new mosquito bites. Overall, not bad and livable but honestly if you pay a bit more you can have AC and be much closer to the town center and train station, oh and you can have your own toilet.

Friendly Clerk but Hotel on the outskirts of town
The best thing about this hotel was the front desk clerk. He was very friendly and knowledgeable and was even kind when we contacted him late night for an emergency. He also showed us where to visit in Florence on a map and was very welcoming and attentive about our stay. If you have heavy luggage, I do not recommend this hotel unless you don't mind carrying it up several flights of stairs as there was no elevator. Additionally, the bathroom was in the hallway and was shared so if you have qualms about that again, might not be the place for you. The internet worked well but you are required to create a login however, that is standard in most places in Italy. The room itself was nothing special but if you are in town just touring and need a place to rest your head, this is an affordable and clean option. Just note that it is a bit of a walk from the hotel to City Center where the museums are so you will need to plan accordingly. Also, this part of town has a lot more locals and a lot less of authentic Italian food so if you like food fusion or American food you will be set in this area but if you don't, it is quite a ways our for something authentic.

The hotel was very clean and welcoming, its up two and a half flights of stairs. The front of the hotel overlooks a main road, but the back is silent in comparison. Breakfast is basic but worth the €5 compared to elsewhere.

Great place to see Florence from.
I had five nights at this hotel and it was great. Staff were friendly and helpful. Location is quite central. The only downside is that the wi-fi could be improved. Apart from that, a first rate hotel. Chiao grazi.

Location is not that great, budget accommodations
The location of the hotel is distant than it seems. It takes a 10 minute walk to get to the bus station and takes a good 12-15 minutes of winding streets to reach center. The room I got was nothing like pictured. There was a single light in the room, it looked dark and old. the room was long, the furniture seemed old but everything worked. The tv was so far and small it was impossible to hear anything. There is no AC but they provide a fan which gets noisy. If you open the window, you might get mosquitoes. But all these things are common for florence hotels in summer. I had almost zero interaction with the staff at the hotel, only during check in and check out. Which might be my own timing. They were friendly and helpful and I had no issues.

Great stay!
The hotel is in a quiet area of Florence, about a 20 minute walk from Santa Maria Novella train station. We arrived after hours when reception had closed but the owner buzzed us into the hotel and had left our room key for us and we checked in properly the next day. Cannot fault this hotel at all

Good hotel at a value for money price
It takes only 15 minutes from the station to this hotel by bus and the bus frequency is good. Would suggest it to anybody who wants to stay close to the station and doesn't want to pay too high a price. The rooms are nice and cosy and all basic amenities are provided. Line quality is good and so is the décor.

A little bit disappointed
The room was smaller that shows on the photo , it was hot and the room had one fan that didn't work well. The painting on the wall was a little bit cheese .

Poor experience. Not recommended.
This was a terrible stay. The hotel staff was helpful, but not overly friendly. There were many stairs to climb, some to the entrance of the hotel, and many more to our room. The Internet connection was unstable and we could barely use it. The room's window's were left open and there is no screen on the door or windows so our room was mosquito infested. My family and I got bit so much it looked like we all had chickenpox. The neighborhood is not bad, not too far from the main attractions, but there are many other hotels I would recommending checking out and make this one your last resort option. This is not ideal for families.

Out dated, run down and noisy
The hotel is 1km outside the city, approx 20-30 min walk. The first man on reception wasn't helpful at all and sent us the wrong way out the hotel. The room had a shared toilet but the sink and shower were in the room with a shower curtain, not ideal but the water was warm. The decor was very dated, felt more like a hostel than a hotel. There were no smoking signs but the hotel stunk of smoke. The hotel was very noisy, u could hear the traffic from the road and people in the room next to you, i wouldn't recommend this hotel!

The hotel is in a quiet location one train stop away from main tourist area of Florence. The hotel itself is a bit old and could do with some updating. For the price we paid I think breakfast should be included. Staff were very friendly and let us keep our baggage until we had to catch our train after check out.

Pros: inexpensive comparatively, 2km from city centre Cons: noisy room right under old stairs, weird fantasy themed walls (fairies, dolphins, glow in dark stars), no A/C and it was HOT! It was fine for a few days.
