“pool area is good”
Slightly tired decor but this hotel was in a good location for walking around the new part of the city and close to the railway station. The pool and surrounding area in the centre of the hotel complex was the best feature and was good for relaxing and cooling off. Buffet breakfast was good with plenty of staff around to help. Transport to airport arranged by hotel was comfortable but expensive. Would use the hotel again.
“Not worth it”
Hotel was shown as 4 stars which it certainly was not. Room and hotel tired and wore out.
“You can do much better”
The rooms were very tired, with stained carpets and drapes, old furnishings, and gray towels. The food service was not good. This hotel caters to large tour groups and they had a very mediocre buffet set up for dinner and breakfast. We opted for the regular dining room for dinner and, despite being empty, the service and food were bad. We ordered a vegetarian pasta that arrived with meat in it, sent it back and it came back with meat again and we finally gave up (it was not a language problem, but a kitchen problem). The breakfast linens were dirty and a poor selection of food. We tried to get a taxi to go to the old city and after trying for 20 minutes went back to the hotel reception to ask for their help and were told just to go back outside and they could not help us get a taxi (which other places in Fes did). Do not use the beauty salon, treatments were bad and overpriced. There are better places to stay, avoid this one.
“Stay here, eat elsewhere”
Apparently this hotel was formerly the Sheraton. Perhaps this is so as it it well situated, right in the middle of the new town. This is good, in my opinion, as I would not want to stay in the Medina. You'll see why when you visit. If travelling by car you will be happy with the secure parking. It is not large but as most of your fellow guests will be arriving in tour buses it will probably have room for you. Quite a bit of refurbishment was discreetly underway when we visited. It caused us no inconvenience. This possibly explains why our room was nice. The owners are caring for this place. Reception service was good. Disappointed that the room we were allocated had not actually been made up when we arrived at 14h00 but we were immediately given another. A minor error, nicely recovered. Nice, clean rooms. Bathroom fittings quite old, but it all worked. The only part of our stay that was less than good was the quality and price of the restaurant food and the service given by the staff. The breakfasts (included in our room rate)were not very good at all. And the service was poor. The worst part was seeing the staff (wearing really scruffy suits) re-use the cloth napkins after use by customers! Uggh!! Overall not bad value at all. But eat elsewhere.
“Great hotel”
very comfortable room, large, nice pool. good location, very friendly stuff, and not too expensive
