Great location right downtown - near stadium, city park, major mall all within easy walking distance. Friendly staff with excellent service. Great free breakfast buffet. Wide variety of excellent food in hotel restaurants.
My first surprise was that no one at reception when I checked in spoke even a little English. I indicated with sign language that I would like a room on a high floor and was assigned a very pleasant room on the top (13th) floor with nice views of the area, The location is an easy walk to the TV tower with an observation deck from which you can see almost all of the cities important structures. I recommend going there soon after arrival to get your bearings of the layout of the city. A huge shopping center is only about a half block from the hotel with probably 30 restaurants on the top floor food court. It is an easy walk to the famous Dom Bosco shrine and not to far from the cathedral and bus and metro stations. Only one of the two elevators was operation for the entire 3 days of my stay but it did not seem to matter much as I got the feeling that the hotel was not very full. A male night receptionist spoke fluent English and said he had lived in England for several years. Most of the hotel staff were pleasant. The breakfast buffet was very extensive, fresh and tasty with hot and cold items and lots of local fresh fruits.
Signs in the lobby and elevators state that the hotel is operating in its "soft opening" phase, but as far as I could tell, everything is running on all cylinders. Nice front desk staff with plenty of good English spoken. Modern appealing building. Comfortable beds. Attractive furnishings. Nice tile floors. Might be nice if there were more counter space in the bathroom but no other complaints. Speedy Wifi, though with a number of steps to log in each time. Huge breakfast buffet. No hotel in Brasilia is that well located -- the idea to put all the hotels in a "Hotel Sector" (or on the far outskirts of town) leaves a lot to be desired, but you can actually walk to some of the sights. The TV tower is very close and the Cathedral can be walked to in 20 minutes or so, if you are willing to race across some traffic lanes (not that hard to do most of the time). The hotel is across the street from a modern attractive mall with a range of decent eating options. Definitely a top place to stay in Brasilia.
This hotel was quite a treat for us on our visit to Brasilia to see the wonders of urban planning! The staff was amazing, on premises restaurant had a great included breakfast buffet and super meals. Ultra safe with a gate and guards, no chance of any issues here! We did not use the pool or spa, but did check them out and we cannot wait to return to try them both. Good English language skills by the staff and flexibility with our travel schedule on both check-in and check-out times. We stayed in the 4-star side of the hotel, the lobby is not as glamorous as the 5-star side, but it's well appointed and more than adequate.

I arrived early due to my airline and the staff was not only super helpful and welcoming but allowed me to check-in early due to availability. It has a nice breakfast buffet (which could be deadly if you're on a diet.) The staff is friendly and wonderful. They have both pools and lake access so you ant go wrong. Even off a dock you can see the JK bridge. And the room is something much like Top Gun in the sense that it will take your breathe away.
Our experience at the Base Concept Hotel has been extremely positive; the rooms were clean, spacious and nicely decorated, the restaurant served delicious meals (the food selection for breakfast was flabbergasting!) and the customer service was great.
