The Rose House Inn is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It's a lovely old victorian home. Note: bedrooms 4, 5, and 6 are up a flight of stairs. We enjoyed eating breakfast on the porch; quiet and relaxing.

We are currently having our property improved and that comes with a bit of a mess. We are focusing on our rooms and interior for a positive guest experience but the roofing is out of our contol. Hopefully this project will be completed soon.

Just a couple of minor issues, but not a deal-breaker. We enjoyed the room, stay, and would definitely re-book when in area.

The reason I have given less than a five star was because , we were informed hours before that we were put in a side cottage & not what we booked - main inn that was having its roof done .. Had someone banging on common entry at 10pm The oranges in bowel in kitchen were shrivelled & the bananas past the date. The bedroom itself was outdated , the plumbing loose etc It is a central location next to this small town centre

We relocated our guest due to roofing on the main house. We had a guest who got locked out- he left his keys in his room when he went out for a few minutes so he thought someone might let him back in. He called me and I came. The fruit belonged to a guest so I didn’t dispose of it although I knew it needed it. The room being dated is a little more challenging to respond to. The furnishings are more on the antique side instead of modern I suppose. If you like modern furnishings I understand. Our inn is Victorian so we chose to use furnishings accordingly.

The property was clean, comfortable and reasonably priced. We liked the atmosphere of being in a special home instead of a motel. It was quiet. We did have a wasp, but we were able to kill it. There was a slight musty odor that is common to old or shut up houses. Maybe some kind of air freshener could be left in the rooms.

Rose House for Bama Game
Very nice alternative to a hotel. Victorian era main house and property are very nice. Great alternative to staying in Tuscaloosa on game day where prices are outrageous. Will definitely stay again when visiting. About a 50 minute drive to Alabama football parking.

Decent Stay Quiet Stay
The room was good. I love hot water; the water did not get hot at all to me. I was on the top floor and in those old houses the ceiling is not that tall. I was bent over most of the stay when I was up walking around in the room. I am 6'3 and that was harsh on my back. Other than that, it was a very good place and very well hidden off from everything. Quiet and secluded. Nothing in Fayette to do. The Rose is a very good place to stay.

I will check to see if there are issues with the water. It has to travel quite a distance but we have a recirculating pump that is supposed to keep the water ready to go. For the benefit of future guests who may be talk, I will try to put in the description that the ceilings are shorter and angled, unlike the main floor that has 13’9” ceilings. Thank you for staying with us.

This was our first time here and we couldn’t be more pleased with everything! We got the deluxe room (B) and it was amazing! The bed, the tub, the bathroom, the porch, the lightning bugs in the yard ❤️❤️❤️!! This was by far the best experience I’ve ever had at any lodging facility! We’ll be back ❤️

The Rose House Inn needs love and attention. The antique furniture hasn’t been oiled in ages it seems, the sign on the drive is hanging off kilter, the once beautiful gazebo and grounds are just neglected. The bed in our suite was comfortable but it was just so neglected. Breakfast was a box of cereal and milk with juice. Some individual packaged items available too. There could be so much more done to make this place charming again. I hope the owners take care of it.

The house was great, ,no problems with the condition of the room ( the only problem with the room was that it was near the security light ( so too much light shining in the window ) room# 2 .. the only complaint is that we were thinking we were going to get a friendly, home cooked, and served breakfast and we got slop set out for us and most every dish I picked up was dirty... So, no breakfast .. Also the site said, hurry, only one room left but we were the only ones there the entire time of our stay.

Disappointing.
The house is adorable. Decorated beautifully. It was also very dirty and needed simple upkeep. Doors that wouldn’t stay latched unless locked, holes in wall, the bathroom storage was filthy, the kitchen was not clean and there was a wadded up pillowcase in the bed when we climbed in the first night. Breakfast was the same day after day made ahead of time and left on a hot tray to keep warm, wasn’t always warm or fresh.

This is the first time that I was disappointed in this facility. The room we were first given the bathroom was nasty especially the toilet. I was really disappointed with this stay. I was also given a invoice at a lower rate than was charged to my account and the difference was not refunded.

We regret the inconvenience during your recent stay. The room had been serviced by plumbers after it was cleaned and undoubtedly left it in an unsatisfactory condition. When we became aware of the problem it was immediately addressed. As far as the rates, we have multiple rooms with varying rates and we accidentally quoted the wrong rates Receipts are available from the booking site for future reference. We strive to provide a clean and comfortable hone away from home and get many positive comments from our guests. We are not perfect and extend our apology for this rare occurrence.

Granddaughters wedding
Needed a place to stay for my granddaughters wedding. Places to stay very limited. Rose house was nice, but it does need a serious update.
