“Great location, but a bit noisy”

We had a convention to attend at the Holiday Inn, but they were booked, so the location of the Express was ideal. I have heard good things about the Express line, but I was a little disappointed at how much hallway noise and above room noise could be heard in our room. It didn't impede sleep, but it did cause pause in conversation when groups would go by our hallway door.

“Fargo Trip”

We have stayed at this hotel frequently. The staff is alwasy friendly and eager to help in any way they can. The rooms are nice and spacious.

The hotel parking lot is big enough to park a large vehicle and also if you are pulling a trailer

“Nicely refurbished but tread lightly!”

Nice place. Refurbished recently so there are new LCD TV's. Only drawback is the floors are so lightly built that you can hear every step in the room above you. Not too bad if your upstairs neighbours tread lightly and go to bed early. Not so good if you have lead-footed late-nighters above you (as we did one night). Other than that, though, a great spot for a shopping weekend.

Area recommendations
Great shopping and restaurants in the south-west part of Fargo. There's not much in the way of culture in that part of town, unless you count the Roger Maris Museum in the West Acres Mall. But what do you want from Fargo? Opera?

“Recently refurbished”

They just completed a refurbishment, the most notable upgrade being 32-inch LCD TVs in the rooms. Beyond that, the beds are a bit hard but it's clean and well-run with a friendly staff. If you like HIE's, you won't find any surprises, good or bad.

It's close to West Acres Mall and the West Fargo big-box stores.

“It's no holiday!”

This was a huge disappointment. We've stayed in other Holiday Express and been very happy with them. Our room was like an oven! Turned off the heat and slept with the window open.(in Jan.!)Pool and hot tub not clean or hot. Entire hotel was on the shabby side! Someone in another room was smoking and it filtered into our room through the bathroom vent. Our room reeked of smoke! Front desk said nothing could be done. Boo! We will not chose this chain again.
